I can't stop listening to this song over and over.... reborn each time it is heard. Amazing also for slow blues dancing. Beautiful voice, authentic and as deep and old as the original Delta Blues. Beautiful.
Hi martin, here is Camus (we played at the church in the LAIMONT FESTIVAL des granges 8 years ago ) i m happy to see you are still playing the blues, great blues my friend. you ve got the thrill -) All the best Camus
Mr. Harley, that intro improv you did just grabbed me! Sounded like no other instrument! Spectacular setup for an amazing performance to follow. Thanks for inspiring us!
Saw this awesome guy play with Sam Lewis at a village hall in the middle of Somerset, UK and had the absolute pleasure of serving them both pints before the show! Such incredible musicians and so down to earth! Loved every second of it!
This is my all time fav, if I could play just this one song my life would be complete lol, seen you live quite a few times Martin, blow me away every time your an inspiration to slide blues players.
Found it 2015 and since the very first time I heard it, it's one of my all time favs! Makes me cry each time I listen to it. So touching, so deep, so real. _________________________________________________________________________________ 2023 and still my all time fav! ;)
I heard you on the Cayamo Cruise earlier this year and I just can't stop thinking about the way you impressed us all. I hope to see you again...maybe in Texas next time?
Awesome Martin, wish they'd kept the camera on you instead of the zombie audience, hot stuff guy and I've heard a lot of 'em in my years with Melobar. melobarted
+Martin Harley Hi Martin, great to see you in the comment section. I've got a question, hope you'll can answer. I bought a weissenborn guitar a few weeks ago from Luna Guitars - roughly 350€. So I wanted to get the LR Baggs M1 in that guitar but the soundhole is only about 9,5 cm / 3,7 inches wide and I can't get that pickup in properly. Also the strings are much wider, so the poles of the pickup don't overlap the strings like in a normal western guitar. Do I have to make slight modifications to the guitar in order to get the M1 in? Or did I bought simply the wrong guitar? Can you tell me how the LR baggs fit in your guitar? I wanna keep the M1 definitely but I'm not so sure about the weissenborn. Hope you can answer. I appreciate your music and style big time. Thanks
Says the one sitting alone in their bedroom. Maybe you should get out and show us all how outrageous and inappropriate you can be for any given situation.
I don't believe this guy. Hate the vocals. Wow, and I've just found out that he's a Brit. Now. I double hate it...Brits don't - in the real world - sound like that. Phoney vocals. What is he thinking of.
@@musik102 ok you be very careful , quote hate the vocals , finding out he is a British person , now I double hate it , would you say this is if he was a black person , or a native Indian American , your comments are Racist against British people , Martin Harley is one of the finest English blues singers , slide guitarist , so you can stick your comments where the sun don’t shine , you need a education Racistness ain’t always about being black , white etc it is also to do with birth place ….

1:58 Why do I desperately wanna meet this woman? What's this feeling?
What kind of pickup is he using? anyone?
+inUR2teeth looks like LR Baggs M1. Just bought it few day ago, sounds awesome
+inUR2teeth Yup... I'm using an LR Baggs active M1. It's worth messing about the poles to get the balance right. Hope that helps. Martin

maybe read the comments... Martin himself replied to this question 8 years ago! lol anyway it's an LR Baggs active M1... sounds fantastic doesn't it
a bit of life in the audience wouldn't go a miss .

I think they are just feeling it so deeply they are mesmerised
why the hell do they show the audience while HE is playing?? All i want to see is him playing!! FFS!
+mr_os So you can see the audience reaction to what he's playing
lol You got that ONE guy who dislikes it.
And he’s Deaf!
Tuning?
Dadfad…. Trouver y a peu 😅

Sounds so so much like Ben Harper. Bit of influence much
+Shanti Amore yes.. because ben harper is the ONLY one who does slide..?
I would guess he likes kelly joe phelps over harper..

@musik102 Martin has a great voice and plays amazing weissenborne guitar ,bit of a racist comment there dude … now get back under your racist stone……
@@MGWAIKIDOJITSU Racist? Now - and be very careful- explain CLEARLY why my comment is racist.
