Yeah Troy! This is a great tune/recording choice of Thomas Oliver for wood shedding a few essential steel guitar techniques. Just the five notes speak in volumes! Thanks😎
Great lesson, but I'll be honest: you could've included all the necessary material for learning the tune in a lot less time. You repeat yourself a lot and there's really no reason to film yourself tuning. Show us the tuning and let us hear it, sure, but try a little more editing. 20 minutes just to explain the first four bars. I lost track of how many times you said, "dig in." If we didn't understand something we could just rewind.
Imah go ahead and disagree. This taking your time and really explaining things is super valuable. It separates you as a real guitar teacher and not some dude banging out tutorials for TH-cam views. I appreciate it! ;)

This is the music to “People Get Ready” by Curtis Mayfield circa 1965!
I waited for this video for so long! thank you troy
Great lesson. I am from China. I just want to know where I can purchase the Weissenborn style guitar.
Check out twisted wood from Canada!
The guitar Thomas Oliver recorded this song on is made in New Zealand by Tony Francis
