I loved seeing the mix of force use and hand to hand combat in the fight scenes. This show is already better than at least half of the live action shows.
Glad you enjoyed this! I did enjoy these episodes as well. I hope you continue to cover it on the channel. I think the mystery is quite effective. I genuinely don't know where everything is going with all the characters and how things will turn out, and that's great because I love surprises. I feel like several characters are hiding things and a lot will be revealed as time goes on. The theme of duality is quite strong and it seems like every character has two sides to them. Osha and Mae quite literally, but even Sol seems to have a shadow side, where he was willing to lie or cover up what really happened that night with the fire. Carrie-Anne Moss was incredible and I'm sad we lost her character so soon. Lee Jung-jae is a delight. Can we get him in the DCU, or is he bound for Marvel next, because of the Star Wars/Disney connection? Can't wait for the flashback episode.
Yea, with having such low expectations and expectating this show to be bad, i was actually really surprise with this. i thought it was a solid start. Is it the best thing ever no but it was pretty solid i gave it a 6/10
I kinda agree here - My expectations weren't high, just thought it'd be meh-ish but as a reuslt I enjoyed it more than what I thought I would. The thing is, I think not only before (with the trailers etc), but now after these first 2 episodes have released they're seen through a bit of a harsher lens to most people due to the whole state of Disney/Star Wars fandom.
I watched the two episodes so far i enjoyed it felt like this series gave a fresh air to selection of star wars projects i know the dialogue, and writing mayn't be up to andor standards, but it has potential leaning towards more into the pulpier side of star wars Sol is def my favorite jedi character by a pretty wide margin looking forward to seeing who else stand out in the cast.
I had fun with the first two episodes. The pacing had problems and I could have done without a twin reveal early on but I like how stuff looks, the cast is cool, we have new lore added to Star Wars, and the fights were well put together
When they are talking about attack the Jedi. I think he was referring to the Jedi as a group not individuals. Although Mae was able to kill the Jedi by exploiting her code, not just a straight up knife fight.
Everyone complained they wanted new stories besides always hearing about the Skywalker family. So they give us new stuff and still everyone complains. I thought the first 2 episodes were great and I’m looking forward to more.😊
Yeah Boba, i pretty much totally agree with you. I'm a pretty casual Star Wars fan. I enjoy the world a great deal but don't know much about the wider lore. Thank sweet baby jesus for internet hate, coz i went into this expecting the absolute worst pile of dogsh*t ever and... I totally enjoyed this. And i can totally see this growing through the episodes into something awesome or somehting totally lackluster. Also Boba i wonder how you would rank all the SW movies and shows. Some of the stuff i enjoy most from it is ROTS, the original trilogy and Obi Wan Kenobi (which i guess is very much despised among hardcore SW fans).
I think Indara’s death is a swerve. Look up the meaning of the name “Indara” in Indian. I’m enjoying the show so far. It’s different. Yoda and Yaddle were alive during this time. We may get a cameo.
Honestly not sure how I feel about the show. I want to like it but I just don’t know but one thing I do know is Jedi Master Sol is the shit! Love that guy!
I don't think we have seen the Master in the show. I think Qimir will be the helmeted Sith lord, but he will be the apprentice. Trying to recruit someone who can then help him take down the master. We'll meet the true master at the end of the show. I also think Osha will become the new apprentice and not Mae. With what she finds out in the show I think she'll eventually turn against the Jedi.
Boba I think something is up with the guy that makes the poison !!! . Did you notice how he knew little hand to hand combat with may! ??? I wonder if he is the sith we seen with the mask !! What do you think
I think the dream is a metaphor for the jedis idiology . You can kill jedi yes but in order to destroy the order u need tondestroy how everyone views the order
Instead of telling peeps you're an actual Star Wars fan at the beginning of the video (Cause it's almost an all-DC channel, just show them the kid Boba with Anakin hair photo lol
@The.Usurper such as????? Lmao😂 I was with SW Theory and Nerdvengers Josh's channel. Within 2 mins, some people were saying why do we have flames in space.... it's star wars, how do we even have hyperspace? Lightsabers with crystals that can be controlled to emitte lights that stop at 3 feet??! 🤣 Why do we have most, if not all, the alien species in SW could somehow understand "english" as the basic galactic language? The fact I'm wasting my time explaining to another one and the likes of you is a WAFT! You're part of the problem!! If you don't see Disney has made both good and bad Star Wars. Where were you when Rogue One was made? What about Mando Season 1&2? Tales of the Jedi? If you hate all these too, WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE??? 🤯 Go on and hate something else in your life. 😂 Idc about what the actress or the director said. At the end of the day, I'm here for Star Wars, with the fans who enjoyed it. You are entitled to dislike it, but don't spoil it for everyone. Grow up and accept not everything made by Lucasfilm with thousands of its employees, would satisfy you every single way and day....
Exactly, I feel like with this show people are just moaning for the sake of it and it seems to be the usual culprits. I throughly enjoyed, I haven’t read much of the High Republic books or comics but I think after this show I’m going to check them out. I’m really loving Master Sol we’ll see how the series pans out but I could see him becoming one of my favourite Jedi.
Thank god im not the only one who enjoy it 😅 I feel even starwars theory start to hate just because its disney I mean he is right about a lot of thing but to call this show a mockery is ridiculous to me xD
Im kinda dissapointed by the tone of the show and the cinematography. When it was first announced i imagined something way different. It could even have had the potential to be the first R rated star wars show/project
Right now, I hold it at Meh status but im leaving myself open to the possibility it gets better. I think the twin reveal happened way too early and took a lot out of what coulda been the early conflict for the show. Im sad Carrie Anne Moss is dead already though i presume there's a flashback for whatever happened the night of the fire. Some of the character decisions are a little dumb like why would Osha, a woman with a clear active fear of fire, work as a mechanic in space where there's always gonna be a fire if something goes wrong? Aside from those dislikes, I do have things I really liked. Sol is easily the most interesting Jedi in the show so far and I'm intriguied to figure out what he knows (or doesn't know) about what happened that night of the fire. I love anything Manny Jacinto is in so let me see more of him plssss. The twins do have an interesting connection and I'd love to see that explored more and also see how Mae's version of events lines up with the Jedi's version cause somebodys lying to somebody about that shit. While the little moments of the plot are pretty miss, the overall plot has me intrigued so I'll be back next week to watch the next ep. My biggest worry is that whoever wrote the series is going to mess up as it comes to Plageius the Wise. I have a bad feeling (haha) that he's not going to be mentioned or relevant to the plot despite almost certainly being around at this time if my memory serves. And he should at the very least be name dropped at some point by the helmeted bad guy. Anyway, this comment is too long mb. Love the content Boba! Keep up the good work!
Sol and jecki are good characters. There's something i find lacking from the storytelling so far but I'm hoping when the search becomes more focused on the master instead of mae I'll be more interested.
I don't hate it like others are, but I don't love it. The only thing I really like and that's the character Jedi Master Sol. He sure is like this era's Qui-Gon.
I read a bunch of Google reviews of the Acolyte and it's obvious that the best and worst reviews are scripted or from bots. I started with the 5 star reviews then went directly to the 1 star reviews. Then 2, 3 and 4 star reviews. It's as if the good reviews are from one script and the bad reviews from another script. The only reviews that seemed legit were from the 2-3 star range. Those ones weren't repeating the same talking points over and over. You can tell they were written by actual people. So, long story short, don't trust the 5 star reviews. Also, do not trust the 1 star reviews...
@@Koki-hc3mw Barbie movie? The same Barbie movie directed by a woman? Lead by a woman? Oh, do not forget the lead actress is pretty, smart, and the victim, while men are dumb and the bad guys. That movie? The movie where they do not even hide their hatred for men? OK buddy.
There's room for Plagueis to have had an apprentice before Palpatine since he isn't born for another 50 or so years after this show and there's plenty of room for there to have been one before him. I'm kind of expecting there to be a switch between the twins if they don't both join together after Osha learns of what looks to be a betrayal of some sort. Speaking of Osha that name got a bit of a chuckle out of me, especially with the job she had since OSHA is stands for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration here in the US that looks over worker safety.
@@youngpros14Yea, she’s awesome. I was telling my son about her as Trinity and how she’s legit. He was born after the Matrix movies came out. I heard the director got inspiration from Darth Maul battle in Phantom Menace.

20:55 Actually, George did that with Vader when he found out about Leia by reading Luke's mind
That's not an issue because it was Vader, not a Jedi. That's the point.
Just from what was shown in this review it kinda looks like Trinty just trying to be like Neo, only with a lightsaber lol

That good theory boba about qimir he's absolutely has to be more than he seem because he knew osha was alive when even mae didn't.
My theory is that mae final test has to kill her sister.
