Once I'm done with the sculpting? Not sure how to convert that plane in to the actual geometry

Sorry about that - Nanomesh > Inventory > One to Mesh will do the trick (just ctrl shift click the nanomeshes and geometry > modify topology > Delete hidden or subtool > split your nanomesh placement planes)

this is terrible way to handle this, I guess each subtool should have it's own editable pivot/sym point like in blender

1:42 onwards, if you're mesh is not mirror and welding properly, make sure gizmo is in the middle of the mesh, disable X symmetry to go to unmasked mesh center (middle)

i wanted to copy your custom menu, and was able to find all the buttons, except for "show" under "modify topology", could you tell me what it is? also when i boot up zbrush my custom menu is gone, and i have to copy and paste the ZStartup i saved into ZbrushDate under User

Movie > Timeline > Show to store camera positions, and preferences > store config should make your startup include the custom stuff you have open!

Ok nice, I'm a little disappointed both viewports rotate and move at the same time. Probably won't use this because I want to be able to see the sculpt updating on a still image instead of the model flying all around while I edit the non-instanced editable subtool. I like that this is an option, but hope there is a better way. Seems a bit complicated for just editing an instance.
If anyone gets stuck with the edit screen and can't get rid of it, "There is a separate Split Screen slider in the Transform Palette that operates independently of the Split Screen slider in the Nanomesh menu. Check the slider in the Transform palette to make sure it is set to zero."

@@japaneseextremme3811 Thank you! I was confused about the split screen remaining after I got rid of the Nanomesh. I wish the author spent a couple of minutes explaining how to finish the preocess.
