So I did more math and: 20k elemental hit incandescent 5k ele x0.1 = 500 15k chaos x0.2 =3k 3k x 45 = 135,000 / 0.15 = 900k So for a 20k hit you need 900k armor for the 90% which will make it 800 total damage and for every 1000 extra ele damage you need 45k more armor to maintain the 90% reduction So for the 4th vow to be better you would need to fall to around 75% reduction. If you had 3 million armor you would have 90% reduction up to a 67k elemental hit. I'm not too familiar with how much damage enemies can do, I only started this league so if you have any more input I'd appreciate it
RIP transcendance, I played Chieftain non-transcendance dual wield version during Affliction and wanted o reveisit Armourstacker on Transcedance Scion, sad to see it gone and I will no longer have a chance to experience the pinnacle or tankiness

Wonder if new hybrid es/eva bases could help overcome the grace loss somewhat? Helm/gloves atleast. Also the Ventors change is actually pretty nice for doryani's proto build. 20%+ Mana reservation eff instead of quant is really nice for getting possibly all your auras online. I am overall happy with the changes to melee so I guess we just have to adapt.
Remember they reintroduced Recombinators this league. Unsure what kind of power they took away, but it's entirely possible we could get Grasping Mail mods on the new endgame bases to combat some of the Grace flat evasion loss. Syndicate Garb shown in the trailer gives 1,228 base evasion, which could hit around 5K flat evasion with good mods (and 833 free ES from Trickster D:)
another idea is new ventor gamble that have +15%mana reservation effiency of skill instead of quantity of item drop and ventor gamble with -25%lightning res always work really well with doryani's prototype so now you can drop some mana reserv in tree and go for mana cost or anything you want
You can still get 88% of phys taken as elemental, lightning coil 50+20 shield+18 helmet(10% from betrayal with veiled chaos prefix + 8 from eldritch implicit). You could get 93% using darkscorn instead of the dawnbreaker but that will only for poison... I am not even sure you can get the one from betrayal/eldritch in the helmet anymore since they could've removed and not mentioned.
Betrayal and delve pta is gone. The maximum you can realistically get is 80% and that is if you sacrifice overcapped fire res increases armor which gimps the build. And trust me 80% on a lightning coil build with ~2k ES is paper. Cigarette paper to be precise, it dies when a mob in a t16 no mods map as much as looks at it.

New rare body armours have so much armour value they have literally pushed most unique armours out of meta, even the Pre-nerf Kaom's Heart being brought back failed to come back in meta thanks to that. The aura "nerfs" are only for builds which tried to have Evasion+Armour for the last few leageus, for builds which focus on just one they're just much, much stronger in their department now
One great question: Why does nobody stack cold resistance with an armor "evasion is increased by overlapping cold resistance" (and use Iron Reflexes)? Tested in the POE it has the same effect.
Free rage seems nice offensively. There were a new passive points which grants % armor per rage. Probably also one which grants increased evasionrating / rage. Could do something.
weapon enchant with returning proj, melee skills buffs, better item bases, passive respec with gold... I think I'll try armour stacker on SSF this league
Hear me out Seismic cry : 25% more armour at full power Sione, suns herald (new chieftain asc notable): warcries have max power, 30% eff of war cries Ancestral cry : 60% inc fire res i think.. Block chance at 45% with dawnbreaker, 1-2 block large clusters Flesh and stone -19% less damage taken Arctic armour, tempered by war etc All of these can be used to build newly around stacking armour and being tanky generally.. Berserk uptime with the new rage mechanics are great as well
The problem with 'more armour' is that stackers already have alot of it. So a temporary boost of like 30% more isn't really as effective as one might think, and it comes at an opportunity cost (as all things do). Another thing people seem to forget with warcries, they are no longer instant and call to arms cannot be used for them anymore (if you want the buff from them). So you are kind of nerfing yourself in order to press alot of buttons constantly which will make mapping am absolute slog. Berserk now only provides rage buff effect, which is much much worse than the original buff.
In all the leagues, I have always had the Korell and Gravicious veiled mods for "phys damage taken as" in my body and helmet that always made survival in the maps so much better. Now, I dont know what to do since they have been removed. Any ideas to replace this defence?
There is sadly no real replacement for it. Armour stackers are usualy fine when it comes to physical hits since, well, they stack alot of armour. Non stackers are kind of screwed now when it comes to phys mitigation. The next best option would be endurance charges, but gaining them will be a tough one tho.

So no more farming Betrayal but beeline straight for these ichors can possibly work. Armour stackers no doubt still feel the boss hits. I remember this personally a few leagues ago with Boneshatter. And I dont think a buff to armour values will change anything at all since armour is not that effective against boss hits. As for endurance charges, they now instead grant 4% additional Elemental Damage Reduction per Endurance Charge. So the physical hits are still going to hurt.

Cloak of flames or lighting coil will likely be the better option in alot of cases now. But we will have to see the actual numbers on the eldritch mods. Endurance charges apply to phys dmg still, they just replaced the flat ele res you used to get with %reduced ele dmg taken. So any form of endurance charge stacking will now feel much more impactful.
Recombinator Grasping Mail that has fire or cold over cap gives % armour and new high end base that has new Physical taken as mods with high armour roll might be a way to go about reaching immortality. juggernaut 15% Armour applies to chaos + divine flesh+dawnbreaker. endurance change generation or eternal damnation if life base build.
Keep in mind that eternal damnation now disables all charges unless you run ralakesh boots. So juggernaut would be a bad pick for eternal damnation now.

So going with ralakesh might be the way to go as you just said. also Going life Instead of energy shield seems better with higher tier life mods that you can roll and need for more base Armour from items to scale

rip transcendence. melee skills buffed x1.8 to x2.0. the flat armor gained from deter/grace has also been halved.. these two changes will likely offset to similar levels as before. inspiration has been changed to less mana cost, so it is unclear whether grace can be used in low mana situations. i'll miss giga tanky transcendence build.
I am going: Olroth league. I am sitting on between 3k and 18k ward with Olroth up. Sitting on around DoT cap with poisons with Molten strike, and 4k life just because I can. I can face tank memory game for 0 damage once my buffs gets going. I think I will drop life, and get something. Don't know what because I can't get more damage, and I there is nothing in the game that can deal damage to me. I will try to see if I can hit damage cap, and get it reduced to 0, I guess not, but we do have access to kalandra crafting and recombination now, so it might theoretically be possible. I will find out. 😂 I am not converting any damage, no transcendence, no nothing. And I am sitting on a healthy 50-300 life on hit. Also got ES, and 20k armour. And yes endurance charges are a huge part of my defences

and with new endurance charge i think we can play trickster armour stack with replica badge+ralakesh version like some player play it on affliction too.i play it on my league start on necropolis and its work fine i think its the most cheapest armour stack version you can play on current patch rightnow dont need to stack small cluster with aura effect or anything just stacking pure frenzy charge.YEP its not tanky like other armour stack but dmg is really insane with early gear

Magebane, warden, and the suppress cluster near point blank and your at 85-90%. So super easy to cap, just need 1 good roll on gear or watchers eye. You will lose a little bit of DPS
Nerfs in popularity is not good. There will always be something that is more popular. And not always this "more popular thing" lacks balance. What you get from that is endless nerfs, and no balance in the horizon. Right now is way better with melee buff. Because sometimes, everything needs a buff. Like in this patch. But I really think, future nerfs should be based in balance, not popularity. And the new endurance charges don't seem unbalanced.
They do seem unbalanced and super fun too LMAO who care about balanced if it is fun? The other charges were already unbalanced too endurance was just brought in line like the others.
I'm gonna do my first armor stacking this league for sure Grace is nerf but the armor and evasion base in the chest are buff so it counter the nerf no? And Voices this league arent gonna be as expensive so we can stack more cluster to buff effect of aura
On the top end grace gave about 20k flat evasion. Now about 10k. I don't think you can get that much back from rares. But dmg wise the mele skill changes compensate for the damage loss

200k maxhit is definitely not comfy for any kind of profitable valdos unless you're a literal godgamer. you can just put the numbers in pob and see how many flameblasts you survive, id be very excited to watch you try some voided feared maps with it though
I did quite a few in affliction with 250k. (Non voided) You just push DPS to the billions so bosses die very quickly. This allows you do run some of the maps with harded mods that reduce your offense. Also 200k is on the low end of things, would be surprised if you get up to 300-350k with good gear.
Why does GGG even leave the Transcendence node in the game now ? If 100% or close to are not possible anymore, why is it still there. For me that change is ridicilous, because it destroys a whole architype of game play, not only armour stackers. IMHO, that was bad decision to destroy it completly.
@@TheOne23_ PDR has a hard cap of 90%. Taking 10% of pure unmitigated phys damage might seem ok but you need to severely gimp your build in every other way to get there and it will have mediocre if not pathetic ehp and feel like cigarette paper. Mitigating the huge downsides of transcendence is difficult to begin with but if you need to stack one of the rarest most difficult to attain defense layer on top - phys damage reduction you will end up with a straight unplayable build. Trust me transcendence is as dead as three day old road kill.

It's really hard to say if you can actually get to 100% pte? What are you math challenged? They removed EVERYTHING except the shield and the body armor. Even the corruptions on the shield are gone. You can get 50% on lightning coil and 20% on the shield. Even if you give up on overcapped fire res increases armor and use a crafted helmet you're still at least 20% short of 100%. Transcendence is dead, it's completely useless. Why they keep it in the game is beyond me, probably too lazy to replace it with something else.

i think 14% reduced mana cost from synth rare ring is much better than ventor. it has - total mana cost too.

Is it not going to be really hard to get 100% spellsup on an armour stacker without gutting your damage?
Magebane, warden, and the suppress cluster near point blank and your at 85-90%. So super easy to cap, just need 1 good roll on gear or watchers eye. You will lose a little bit of DPS

Nerfs in popularity is not good.
There will always be something that is more popular. And not always this "more popular thing" lacks balance.
What you get from that is endless nerfs, and no balance in the horizon.
Right now is way better with melee buff.
Because sometimes, everything needs a buff. Like in this patch.
But I really think, future nerfs should be based in balance, not popularity. And the new endurance charges don't seem unbalanced.
They do seem unbalanced and super fun too LMAO who care about balanced if it is fun? The other charges were already unbalanced too endurance was just brought in line like the others.
Instructions unclear, not build Armour stackers, jugg or chief or scion, hexblast mines or ele hit spectrum is the must go, trickster or inquisitor

Grace is nerf but the armor and evasion base in the chest are buff so it counter the nerf no?
And Voices this league arent gonna be as expensive so we can stack more cluster to buff effect of aura
base armor obtained from grace/deter is much much higher than that of equipment. 10k from auras, 3k from equipment. also 90% is shield

Grace and determination were nerfed because they have new t1 rares with higher defensive values, so wouldn't that just be a wash?
On the top end grace gave about 20k flat evasion. Now about 10k. I don't think you can get that much back from rares. But dmg wise the mele skill changes compensate for the damage loss

@@woolfgangmozrt20 They removed the 10% on the tree. You definitely still can with top end items like triple purity watchers and double corrupted shield but it's expensive.

200k maxhit is definitely not comfy for any kind of profitable valdos unless you're a literal godgamer. you can just put the numbers in pob and see how many flameblasts you survive, id be very excited to watch you try some voided feared maps with it though
I did quite a few in affliction with 250k. (Non voided) You just push DPS to the billions so bosses die very quickly. This allows you do run some of the maps with harded mods that reduce your offense.
Also 200k is on the low end of things, would be surprised if you get up to 300-350k with good gear.

Why does GGG even leave the Transcendence node in the game now ? If 100% or close to are not possible anymore, why is it still there. For me that change is ridicilous, because it destroys a whole architype of game play, not only armour stackers. IMHO, that was bad decision to destroy it completly.
You can solve physical mitigation other ways

@@TheOne23_ PDR has a hard cap of 90%. Taking 10% of pure unmitigated phys damage might seem ok but you need to severely gimp your build in every other way to get there and it will have mediocre if not pathetic ehp and feel like cigarette paper. Mitigating the huge downsides of transcendence is difficult to begin with but if you need to stack one of the rarest most difficult to attain defense layer on top - phys damage reduction you will end up with a straight unplayable build.
Trust me transcendence is as dead as three day old road kill.
@@NotYourBusiness-bp2qn I never said it would be as op as it is now, my point still stands that you can make it work, pdr, fortify ect. You are correct that it will need to be built very differently and will probably be not great. Does not mean that transcendence can’t work at all
It's really hard to say if you can actually get to 100% pte? What are you math challenged? They removed EVERYTHING except the shield and the body armor. Even the corruptions on the shield are gone. You can get 50% on lightning coil and 20% on the shield. Even if you give up on overcapped fire res increases armor and use a crafted helmet you're still at least 20% short of 100%. Transcendence is dead, it's completely useless. Why they keep it in the game is beyond me, probably too lazy to replace it with something else.
