Wow when i seen the name benavidez i already knew i wanted to watch and thought it would either be just text or illustrations or maybe even stock footage but i really, really like that you have taken the time to animate this Roy Benavidez is the deffinition of a real life legend.
Yes, I SAW the Predator in the scene just prior to the attack on the SF team began! That said, Roy Benavidez is a true, real life hero who would likely kick the Predators fictional butt! His is one of the most remarkable stories I've ever heard and it humbles me every time I hear or read about it. It should be noted that he was actually in church services when he overheard the radio call in the next tent over. Also, though properly depicted on the video but not mentioned is that in his haste to get out to the ambush site, Roy forgot his M16 and jumped initially unarmed from the Huey into the battle! Great video as always.
There's an event from his life beforehand that really speaks to the character of this man. He earned his Green Beret and was training men in Afghanistan when he eventually stepped on a land mine paralyzing him from the waist down. How did he then earn the Medal of Honor for 6 hours in Hell after being paralyzed? Every night in the hospital, and against Drs orders, he crawled out of bed and to the nearest wall to the cheers of fellow veterans. He did anything he could to wiggle his toes, bend his knees, push against the wall, and 2 years later walked out of the hospital with his wife. Obviously that Vietnamese soldier couldn't kill him with a mere bayonet. This really needs to be added to the video.
That was amazing almost unbelievable he took so many bullet and shrapnel wounds and still carried on rescuing the soldiers thats courage and heroism if I've ever seen them
I agree with the guy that pointed out the scripting issues, but I still think it would be hella cool if they were able to make a game with missions based on the stories they’ve told
@namaghani You don't really need to have programming skills to create a game nowadays, there's so many tools for artist like him to make a game, and in fact, many artist create a game without coding.
In case you didn’t think he was tough enough, before all this he had stepped on a land mine and messed up his back to the point where his doctor told him he would never walk again. He begged them to not discharge him and give him a chance, and he would secretly fall out of bed every night and stand and put pressure on his legs until he could walk again. Also, I’m pretty sure he was holding his own intestines in by the time he got on the chopper.

“It is those that had fought for it that life has a special flavor….that the protected will never know. You have never lived till you almost died. And it is us veterans, especially the wounded, that pray for peace most of all, because we must suffer the wounds of war. Look at that flag. Look at the memorial honor roll and every name of every soldier that never came home. When you salute that flag, you salute EVERY one of them. When you kneel, you kneel upon the memory of every one of them.” -Master Sergeant “Roy” Benavidez "Oscar Mike Mike" To all of those that kneel during the national anthem, or support players that do...How does it feel to enjoy freedom, at the expense of a patriot’s life? How does it feel, to live your life, free to say damn near whatever you want, while trampling on the memory of those that died so that you could do just that?
I love my country, I stand for the pledge and the star spangled banner. I don't support kneeling, those who do, antifa or blm. That said, the US military hasn't really fought for Americans' freedoms in decades. 'Nam certainly wasn't a war for Americans' freedoms. America is barely a free country anymore. Everyday we get further and further from the Constitution.

Thats crazy. It would have been bravery if he would have been into this position in the first place, but the cat he willingly got in there to help is just such a selfless and brave action. This is heroism, not some sniper or pilot ace that racks up kills, this is a hero.

To all of those that kneel during the national anthem, or support players that do...How does it feel to enjoy freedom, at the expense of a patriot’s life? How does it feel, to live your life, free to say damn near whatever you want, while trampling on the memory of those that died so that you could do just that?
I love my country, I stand for the pledge and the star spangled banner. I don't support kneeling, those who do, antifa or blm. That said, the US military hasn't really fought for Americans' freedoms in decades. 'Nam certainly wasn't a war for Americans' freedoms. America is barely a free country anymore. Everyday we get further and further from the Constitution.
Damn, they don't make 'em like this anymore
somehow amazed that this man pulled through when the man who provided air support with a Cessna and an M16 passed away after getting shot down.
Hey it’s my cousin. Now there are two more Benavidez that also served in Vietnam. One of them is my father and the other my uncle. I can tell y’all about there stories if y’all want me too.
Please go on
Seriously, please tell us their stories
That man deserved the medal of honor not just the distinguished service cross
And he got it in 1981
Loved the Predator’s eyes lighting up as the gunfire erupts! …. “Anytime …. “ 😉
Not sure if he really spat into the doc's face, but it makes the story about a billion times better. I'd put it down to soldiers' story telling, because we too love telling stories, embellishing just a tiiiiiny bit.
the preditor thing was masterpiece
ya i saw that too
Respect for these people. Good work as always Yarnhub
Audie Murphy and Roy Benevidez within a week of each other? You have got to be psychic to have released videos on two of my favorite medal of honor recipients so close together!
If this was in a movie you wouldnt even believe it, you would say its too far fetched. Roy Benavidez is a legend.
Thats crazy. It would have been bravery if he would have been into this position in the first place, but the cat he willingly got in there to help is just such a selfless and brave action. This is heroism, not some sniper or pilot ace that racks up kills, this is a hero.
yarnhub making my day once again
yea true
ikr
Alright lets get modern, make a video about the first medal of honor ever recorded, otherwise known as John Chapman's attack on a mountain in Afghanistan.
Yeah, Yarnhub, move to modern!
Is that the one that was recorded by a drone?
@@GraveDigger388 Yes. It would be amazing to have an animated perspective to tie it to.
Personally I think the past is more important, even if History is doomed to repeat itself
@@wheresstrelok2187 for me, i suggested this because all of yarnhub’s videos are about ww2 and other old wars, so we need to move to the modern side
Saw this story on simple history but I’ll watch it again because I know for a fact yarnhub makes it better
0:06 Three Bell uh-1 helicopters
Me who just played cod black ops cold war: Bell???
What is this delirium we can see a Predator that was invisible in Vietnam it reminds me of the first Predator 1987 movie.
YEEEESS, I love this channel, I get so hyped when Yarnhub uploads. They never cease to amaze. Also there was a secret ninja at 0:47.
Its called predator and he's alien you should watch movie its pretty good, its called predator 1987
@@justjako9145 I know who predator is, I didnt think that was him tho.
I just gotta, Yarnhub you did a great job at making this video!
1:40 this looked like a damn movie scene!
It is obvious he paid special attention to the facial expressions of his 3D models.
I love it!
2:25 damn bro do be really shooting without his mag... i see how technology has advanced xD
Appreciation comment for this channel, deserves 100x more subscribers
the video drawings are just getting better and better yarnhub! keep it up!!
6 hours of hell for squad, 6mins of pure quality for us. Great Job man
“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends.”
-Jesus
Apt quote from Jesus. What a hero we have here!
@@steveperreira5850 well its apt for Jesus to say that since i believe hes the greatest example of that :)
Amen!
Gives new meaning to “ it’s only a flesh wound “. What an amazing man👍👍👍
"If the story of his heroism were a movie script, you would not believe it". -president ronald regan to the press on benavidezs awarding of the medal of honor
Medic: he's dead
Benavidez:*spit*
Medic: he's alive
If I'm not mistaken. I believe Sgt Benavides also got the Medal of Honor as well.
Kinda yeah, his Distinguished Service Cross was upgraded to the Medal of Honor years later in 1981.
@@bighobo7745 that's right. Thank you for saying that. I completely forgot.
This channel is so underrated all the editing must take a while!
It does. We use the dark side of the coffee.
Your animation is at its peak now. And i don't think it will stop getting better.
People finally look as realistic as their environment. Best, but most underrated youtube channel.
Undetected. Unexpected. Underrated.
The Americans had those newfangled “Magless” M16s. No magazine = No reload. It’s brilliant!
Seriously though love the video. Awesome work as always.
