Interestingly, The Other Side of the Wind wasn't actually finished and released until 2018, 33 years after his death. And his movie The Magnificent Ambersons was heavily edited by RKO against his wishes, and he disliked it. This is a really bad copy, sad.
I'm so very very happy that this was not restored that this film it's just the way it was from 1975 please let's not restore everything just because you restore it it doesn't mean it's better this film leaves a lot to the imagination because it is not restored and it is magnificent and phenomenal absolutely phenomenal Better Than A month's vacation in Hawaii in the best hotel in Hawaii much much better for the heart and much much better for the mind
I’ve never read such nonsense before. So much dialogue was distorted I didn’t understand half of what was said. Why settle when there’s technology that can make it better? Why restore an old car? Same concept
It should be restored for future generations because I can guarantee that they won't understand! Some people will turn it off if it's screwed up! This is about Orson Wells not our petty likes or dislikes. Why leave this in an illiterate state. That's moronic and disrespectful to the legacy of Orson Wells!
Oh for goodness' sake, When the quality of anything has deteriorated and the means to fix it are available, You would be insane not to do that. This films lighting is appalling, and a lot of dialogue has been lost on us due to vocal distortions. It was difficult to watch. It doesn't do justice to Mr Orson Wells. I was so disappointed watching this video. I'm astounded at your comment. You talk about this dilapidation as being "much much better for the heart and much much better for the mind" I can therefore only conclude you find your happiness in decay!
santino. I'm with you. After reatauration several things that were ok were lost. The same thing about music:I start to tremble when I look for an L P in Google and you only find the restaured version There are restaurations and restaurations
The sound is so bad on this. Hopefully it can be fixed sometime soon 😮
