I like to think a sequel would involve the Britannic and the Olympic hunting down the iceberg because "family is everything" and and they start drifting around the ocean.
There is a theory that the Olympic and Titanic were switched. Olympic was damaged and had to be repaired at the Harland and Wolf shipyard. Because it was an insurance liability, the powers that be decided to switch the Olympic with her identical twin sister ship so they could sink her and collect the money. The Titanic was still being built at the time, so it made the switch possible. So, when the Olympic was renamed as the Titanic and vice versa, she was sent to Southampton. Long story short, the sinking happens and the Titanic, now the Olympic, has a successful career and eventually sinks in a war. Yeah, complicated, I know, but I thought I’d mention it.
Fun Fact: You're susposted to put a credit card over wounds that puncture the lung. It helps create a suction that keep the lung functioning and prevents it from filling up with blood. However, I've only seen this method recommended as a short term treatment for gunshot wounds until EMS arrives, and I really doubt that it would work if you were crushed by a large medical machine lol
Yea, I think you have to use insurance card for the machine. Insurance card have a special blend of fibers left over from the wood and blended plastic that acts as sort of morphine and CARDerizes the wound allowing it to better heal, ribs and crushed lungs and all.
You know what, let's make a second Titanic; and make it strong enough to absolutely smoke an ice berg. Better yet; don't tell the passengers about its ice breaking capabilities, and start ramming bergs on purpose!
About the credit card thing, From I recall from one CPR class you are potentially supposed to use a credit card in an emergency if they have a sucking chest wound and meaning their lungs have been pierced since it requires an airtight seal, and assuming you don’t have the specific medical equipment used for such a wound on hand, but you have to hold it by hand and you’re not supposed to move them around!
You're better off taping it on 3 sides. Sucking chest wounds need a dressing that lets air out while keeping more from entering. But that's exactly hard if you don't have access to the first aid device. If you have to, get the best seal you can and watch closely for a tenssion pneumothorax. Symptoms to look for include rapid shallow breathing, blue tinged lips and fingers, uneven lung sounds
the main reason you'd use a chest seal has less to do with a puncture of the lung a more with a punture of the plueral space which has a air lower pressure. air sucking in from a puncture can cause the lung on it's side to collapse
@coloneljacobs2217 Yes, I know. Thanks. But OP made it pretty clear they were specifically talking about situations when you lack access to a hospital or even a proper trauma kit, which would translate to no access to any commercial chest seals. My wording got a bit garbled for some reason, but I did say "...without access to first aid device." If you have to improvise a dressing, the 3-sided tape is preferable to holding a credit card to the wound. I don't know if I like the idea of depending on already stressed and terrified, untrained personnel to "burp" a completely sealed dressing.

the iceberg speed made me literally laugh out loud holy shit ~800mph is 1481kmph or like 700 knots. that’s insane. for reference the original titanic’s TOP SPEED was 24 knots, fastest ship right now is 58 knots. tsunamis usually top off travel speeds at like 400mph/700kmph so that berg was SCOOTIN 😭😭
To be fair to the "lifeboats are deathtraps" line, it is actually fairly common in large scale maritime disasters for the lifeboats to become incredibly dangerous incredibly quickly. While the overturning and exposure-related issues of typical rowboat-style lifeboats (lifeboats aren't designed for extended use, especially in icy waters) wouldn't necessarily be an issue for the ones here, a common issue with lifeboats fleeing large, sinking ships is them getting dragged underneath the ship as it sinks, drowning or crushing the passengers. Iirc there were reports of that happening with the actual Titanic, so it's also potentially an attempt to further mirror the original disaster.
They can also get stuck on parts of the ship as well, like in the titanic movie some of the lifeboats ended up being nearly brought down with the ship because the officers couldn’t detach the ropes
@@Martyismylifesupport Yeah, there's often this weird disconnect (especially with those old ocean liners like the Titanic and her sisters) where the lifeboat release systems just don't seem to have been designed to actually work when the ship isn't floating normally lmao. Like it's a common issue if the ship is listing (though with the Titanic specifically the more obvious tilt is along the length rather than to one side) where one side of the lifeboats are just totally unable to be lowered because they'd have to be pushed along the side of the hull, and the other side are incredibly precarious to board and lower (and very likely to get sucked under the ship.) And then you've got equipment malfunctions on top of that (I forget which sinking it was, but there was one sinking where the lifeboat pulleys were totally unusable because the whole system had been covered in a think coat of paint prior to the voyage, so they couldn't move.)

@2:53: Massive calving of glacial shelves does infact create waves. In fact, the largest tsunami in modern recorded history was in Lituya Bay, Alaska, in 1958, where an earthquake triggered a rockslide of 90 million tons of earth which fell into the bay. The impact was heard 50 miles (80 kilo) away, and the sudden displacement of water resulted in a megatsunami that rose to 1,719 ft (524 meters), which wiped out all trees in the surrounding mountains! I highly recommend you investigate the incident further and listen to some of the 1st hand stories of the people who experienced it.

@@kgmc29it’s not about what they’re gonna do about it. Humans are social emotional and community creatures. Commodifying the titanic may seem like a disregard to the memories of those who perished on the first titanic. It’s why people have cemeteries and don’t chuck out the older graves and build on them.
Though I personally would enjoy the idea of a second titanic being created as a way to show humanity has improved since that time (aka a better stronger ship), I understand why some people find it disrespectful to build over those who were untimely killed by it.
"Let's get this cigar smoking." Is an old navy expression meaning to speed up the boat , the term for submarines being a 'boat' and a reference to their shape.
This was randomly recommended to me on my TH-cam homepage. I dont know why, but boy am i glad i was. This man is beyond hilarious. Dude your commentary had me cracking up the whole time. This man is a National treasure for Australia.
Dying punching an explosion is so badass
Was inspired to say this by your “sorry this was kinda awful” outro - this is the third or fourth time I’ve come back to watch this video because I think your absolute incredulity about the ridiculousness of this film and subsequent banter is hilarious. Not kinda awful, very cool in fact
I love how ontop of the captain's depressed look, when the explosion happens he turns around with a look of "oh, what now".
Really enjoyed it, this style of editing and narration gives me Ted Nivison vibes. It seems like you are able to better see your personality through this style. 10/10
“but ALSO you’re right.”
Now I can die happy knowing this movie actually exist and I didn't imagine it... 😂
😅
ikr it feels like fever dream 😭
The idea of him freezing to death and being revived comes straight from another Cameron film - The Abyss.
Getting crushed by a science machine🤣🤣🤣
I actually love this format. You have enough talent for hosting all kind of content.
Greetings from Buenos Aires!!
💙🙌
the iceberg speed made me literally laugh out loud holy shit ~800mph is 1481kmph or like 700 knots. that’s insane. for reference the original titanic’s TOP SPEED was 24 knots, fastest ship right now is 58 knots. tsunamis usually top off travel speeds at like 400mph/700kmph so that berg was SCOOTIN 😭😭
gotta go fast
the wave was moving faster than the speed of sound 😭
@@A.P-r2c imagine losing the race on some F-22 to ICEBERG💀💀💀
as an american, i thought rhode island was smaller than manhattan and am now very confused
😂😂
Nah, I’ve been studying it lately, and a LOT of Manhattans can fit into Rhode Island with room to spare for a few washing machines.
Todd this video was amazing! Your comedy style works for well for this kind of video. I didn’t find this awkward to watch (except the bits that were supposed to be for funny) but if this is the start I’m really excited to see what you put out next. Lots of love to the ultimate gamer and soon to be ultimate funny man
I remember finding this movie one bored day after middle school.
I turned the movie off the moment they said the life boats were in the bottom
Proof that middle schoolers know more about ship design than the production crew of this movie
phenomenal editing as always todd. excited to see more content here:)
I loved listening to this while I'm working. Please make more toddy!
I love your reaction on realizing that youve never seen the original Titanic.
That was a special case, specific to such locations
Most waves caused by landslides are from volcanic Islands, Nuaanu as the biggest example
2:13 that's the Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA. They were sister ships. And also, the movie titled "Meth Gator" is hilarious and definitely should be set in Florida 😂
When you realize they filmed this on the queen mary
Yep. I knew that in 5 seconds when he showed the shot at 4:01. There is only one ship in the world that looks like that, and that is the Queen Mary.
Even on the cover of the movie, the ship looks and IS the Queen Mary. The funnel, the Typhoon Horn, the bow, everything matches the Queen Mary.
There should be a "Gandhi 2 - The Empire Strikes Back"
The one where he throws nukes
I love this new kind of video Todd! Definitely an awesome idea to make a new channel with new kinds of content. You’re really good at narrator; you’ve got a soothing voice Todd. I hope this is successful !
Not only is this a knock-off to titanic, but it also knocks of the movie Poseidon
It's sad isn't it? Why would they do the Queen Mary dirty with this movie? I guess she was available cheap for a movie shoot..
Prove it 🤔
Imagine a film where a ship knocks up an iceberg and a Transformer gets born.
This kind of sequel sucks. Like, what would you expect if you make a sequel like this?! Of course the ship would sink! But why would you make a bad ripoff of the 1997 Titanic and Poseidon? This is the equivalent of the Britannic movie.
Love this content man! Also loving the editing style it's great and I love that we get to hear you talking more. Love the tangents and rants it's awesome!
Titanic still holds the crown due to it being made in 97. Amazing
Titanic 2 (the ship) exists, it was called Costa Concordia and it sunk exactly 100 years after Titanic
Can't wait for Corridor Crew to remake the entire movie.
Omg! This was pure entertainment! Love you Todd❤
Waiting for the next one :)
It's not often that the sequel surpasses the original movie but Titanic 2 manages to do just that.
i love how toddy took this serious enough to make a 35 minute video about it.
I think this type of content can woke for you really well, here's some tips I think can help:
Speeding up the editing/pacing can help your jokes and flow (altho don't cut your jokes too much), more aussie references (they play great to foreign audiences with a lil explanation), channel your personality, let your unique presentation show through. Lastly, more billionaire slagging, always goes over well. I wish you luck!
I LOVED this video.
Fr it catched me several times xD
I remember how I got this Movie for my seventh bday and I wanted the REAL Titanic Movie… I was just laughing when this one guy fell into the snow, daayyum
American here, when that lady was using measurements of Manhattan and Rhode Island. Know that while Rhode Island is a very small state it is still almost 100 times the size of Manhattan. So that’s kind of what the woman is saying, “imagine if it was 100 times as big”.
sepps use this shyt as a measurement but start screeching when you mention the metric system
@@BesoffenerIslamist all Americans use anything other than actual measurement systems. I’m a southerner, not a northerner, don’t get me wrong. But we don’t use actual measurement systems neither. Practically no one in the US does.
I love the fact it's literally just Queen Mary lol
The interior of the ship looks like it was filmed inside of a Marriott.
The use of the recorder cover of My Heart will Go On was *chef’s kiss*
Star Trek taught me that ships which are sequels to older ships should have a dash then a letter, not a number. So, really, it should be Titanic-A.
The Ocean Liners Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth both got sequels, and they were named Queen Mary 2 and Queen Elizabeth 2. Queen Elizabeth 2 also got a sequel, but that was a cruise ship, and it was just named Queen Elizabeth.
Credit where it's due. This dude is entertaining, funny and knowledgeable. Loved how simply he explained the difference between the effect of a Tsunami in the ocean to near land. 11/10
Even the cheapest modern cruise ship will be bigger and nicer than the Titanic was. I don't think all of the rooms even had bathrooms. Just some of the first class cabins. I can't imagine anyone wanting to take a cruise on a replica of the Titanic unless they were just die hard fans of it.
I would it just gives the nostalgia of being on and old ship you know 1’500 people have died on to see how it was really like though idk if I’d want to take a whole 5 day from new York to south Hampton
I like this type of content Todd, keep it up
Titanic 2: Starring Mila Kunis
Oh i get it
I've always noticed toddy's love for movie and show references so it's great to see it come into the spotlight here. Great vid!
Aw man, I really liked Z Nation. Didnt realize it came from a company of this type
I SNORTED when she brought the credit card out. 😹
30:13 did the ship just scream? Thats morbid
"Most sophisticated ship?" The Aegis equipped Arleigh Burke class destroyer would like to have a word with you
we love awkward videos from you toddy, keep 'em coming
Fun fact: the ship showed in the movie is actually the queen Marry a cunard ship which was a rival company of the white star line (the line who created the actually titanic)
In the intro scene, that ship is the HMS queen mary, you can tell by the russian sub right by it, which is right by the actual HMS queen mary
Rms queen mary not hms
@@patrickharrod3658 sry, but whatever
>Dramatic scene committed to MC successfully saving a character on the verge of death
>Aforementioned character brutally killed by a fucking door minutes later
Peak writing, worth busting the audiences’ balls
“Push objects that are underneath the water. And what’s under the water?” Oh my God, are they going to push the old titanic into the new titanic, and then they’re going to make a joke about clashing Titans, and it’s going to be this whole thing where the question becomes is it a ghost ship or something right?
“That’s right, glaciers.” Oh. Oh, I guess that works too.
HELP THATS EXACTLY WHAT I THOUGHT TWO
Commenting on all of Todds videos cuz the more comments there are apperently youtube algorithm makes more recommendations. I literally have nothing to say cuz all of your videos are amazing. Just never change and keep making videos. How the heck do you have less subs than PewDiePie is honestly the 7th wonder of the world ngl
touch grass
imagine if they made a titanic 2 movie with the titanic 2💀 4:50 BIT TO LATE BOY
4:38 Well people don't do that anymore cause back in the days of titanic when people went on a sea voyage to the other side of the world you wouldn't see them again for a really long time, maybe never again. But today everybody has smart phones so it doesn't matter anymore. Nobody is ever out of touch unless they just want to be.
6:43 Well I've never heard of the "masked singer", but i know Dick Van Dyke from his show, the Dick Van Dyke show. Damn i guess I'm old.....
11:55 (Final edit, i promise) How many people are aware of the fact that the polar ice caps, in spite of all the climate hysteria and doom and gloom and "the world's going to end" nonsense, have actually grown considerably over the last several years? That's right, they aren't melting away anymore, they are rapidly growing. It's almost as though the planet earth, over it's four and half billion year history, goes through its own natural cycles and doesn't give a flying shit about this latest tiny little flash of time during which mankind came along, hardly more than a bacteria as far as earth is concerned....
13:08 (OK one more) That was clearly a reference to Day After Tomorrow, which started off with a chunk of ice the size of Rhode Island breaking off.
Also, i just recognized that old guy. He played the evil senator that got turned into a water mutant in the first x men movie.
Senator Kelly!
Just discovered you, and enjoyed this hilarious review! BTW Dick Van Dyke is famous in America for his classic TV series and many films, including Mary Poppins…
Everyone, the Cover Of The Movie And On The Set Of The Main Characters Getting on The Ship, They Do Not Use An Original Set! They Use The Queen Mary Ocean Liner In San Francisco. The Ship Is Surrounded By Lots Of Piles Of Rocks, Which They Forgot To Edit Out At 5:53
Hate to be that guy, but the Queen Mary is found in Long Beach

Although the movie would have you believe the only survivors of the Titanic 2 were Amy and those put on the helicopter, there were six more survivors. Titanic 2 is actually a prequel to famous ToddyQuest video "Could YOU Survive Fish Island in Minecraft??". After washing ashore, Todd and friends have all succumbed to amnesia, which was caused by trauma suffered in the expolosion of the Titanic 2. This explains why there is not mention of the boat in the video. This is true, do not look it up.
Finally Ive been waiting years for a titanic 2 review
I did not expect this kind of content but I enjoyed it. excited to see more.
I like that in some parts of the movie you See that the Titanic 2 seems to be made out of concrete. Like they filmed parts in a underground tunnel and just did not care about anything
No one is going to mention that they used Queen Mary for the initial shots lol
Not gonna lie didn't realize they made Z Nation, one of my favorite shows to this day probably favorite zombie tv show tbh.
They made the Titanic II funnels 'Red Cunard'... it was a mistake or they stick to the White Star-Cunar merging? 🤔
If i could meet a youtuber, i would want to meet todd. Just the best and funniest ever
Titanic 2 is my favorite documentary. The dramatizations were a little cheesy, but I love how they stayed true to the historical facts.
I just came to support toddy and watch like maybe 10 mins….. I ended up watching the entire thing lol 😂 Great Job Toddy.
I am absolutely here for more Toddy Quest content. Love you buddy
That absence of ice is where the ice was before it broke off, the ice broke off causing an absence. But that is such a clean break, I don’t think they put too much thought in this particular part of the movie.
This is an a sequel to Titanic so you should’ve called at that. It’s a completely separate entity altogether.
I just found you…. Or you just popped up in my feed. Watched “Dear David” video and subbed. Love your style! 🥰
