Charlie thank you for your service my brother. I was a truck driver it used to be 64 Charlie but now it's 88 mike. Love watching y'all work the bees. My grandpa used to have a bee hive I loved that honey. He had a milk cow too and my grandma used to make butter. They went so good together with toast or a biscuit. I miss my grandparents so bad. I practically grew up with them. I didn't get to see all of what my grandpa did to take care of his bees but I wanted to learn I was just too young. That was back in the 70s. Thanks for your hard work in making these videos. God bless you both
A whopper of a hive and yes Charlie, deep cells indeed. Great viewing again. Such a big beautiful Queen too. Many thanks for sharing today’s exploits. Blessings.😊
I am always a bit surprised when I do locate the queen, especially when the hive is as large as this one was. Very often I laugh at myself because I have a lot more difficulty finding a queen in one of my beehives than in a cut out as big as this one. Thanks for watching. God's peace Eric. Mr. Ed
Awesome work Mr. Ed and Good Time Charlie. Hoping y'all survived the wrath of those storms and tornadoes. Was hoping and praying you were spared of all that destruction. God Bless!
It's been a while since you left a comment, thanks for doing that and for your blessings and for watching as well. Fortunately, we were spared any real damage, but not were as lucky. God's peace brother. Mr. Ed
Every time I watch one of your videos like this I have to laugh at beekeepers who say horizontal hives don't work. According to them bees only work in vertical spaces. Great video, sw always. Charlie does great video work. Really impressive hive. To clean you suit take it to a car wash and clip it on the floor mat hooks. Power wash it there. This keeps the mess out of your washing machine. Happy Wife, Happy Life. God Bless you Jeff. Look forward to seeing you again in Louisville.
Wow, what a great hive. I've never seen such deep cells and so many drones. Mr. Ed, you and Charlie worked very hard, and i hope your lunch was amazing after such hard work. Working overhead like that, i imagine you were in some pain too. Thanks for sharing these amazing bee rescues/wrangling. Sending positive vibes and blessings from northern Indiana & happy spring! 🐝
Well, there was not a lot of space for the bees, but after adding the second deep box, they had a bit of wiggle room after. Still, it did fill up 2 deeps with bees and comb. God's peace brother. Mr. Ed

It got into the 90's we had yesterday. First time I did not need a sweater. You are going to have enough honey from that one hive to make a hundred bottles for the Abbey. God bless you and Charlie and the bees.
When's the last time you wrangled a hive this large? Charlie and I have one next week that's even larger, stay tuned. Have a great day, and God's peace Robert. Mr. Ed

Not your physically largest hive, but it was definitely packed. Convenient frame size comb, you didn't have to piece it together for a full frame. I laughed at the bee pom pom on your hood near the end. Thanks to you and Charlie for another enjoyable video!
Thank you for your blessings, kind words, and for taking the time to follow along with our wrangling adventures, it is all greatly appreciated. Until the next one, God's peace Matt. Mr. Ed
You guys taught me a new way to use the rubber bands! That is a great way, I've been having to thread the comb through the gap made by the frames when the rubber band is on both sides. Also, like the use of the portable folding table and cooler idea. Thank you.

WOW What a Giant Hive. Out of all the hives that I have seen you or any one that has removed. This is NUMBER 1 Of them all. I love this video the most. & to see that Queen just walk in to that trap like that, WOW. It don't get any easier then that. GOD BLESSED THIS ONE.
He knew right from the start this one was going to be more than 2 hours, we both shuttered with fear when we saw just how big this one was. Safe travels brother. God's peace Sean. Mr. Ed
that was awesome! the machete was so effective. Can you show us how you will rebuild the hive when you go back to the abbey? How do you clean up? do you collect all the excess wax combs? please show us!
I did show how the comb was framed and place into the hive in the video. However, the clean up of the comb was omitted. Hi, sorry, it was one of those late night comments with fat fingers and tired, old eyes. 😊 I’m a pilot here in the U.K. and I was instantly intrigued when I caught the comment about the flight suit and Vietnam. Please thank him for his service for me. The helicopter pilots in Vietnam did an incredibly dangerous and difficult job. I’ve edited the original comment to what I thought I’d written. 😁 That’ll teach me to comment when I’m half asleep. Myself and my Wife watch and love all of your videos.

What a great cutout Lots of bees. Well now I might have to buy a serrated Machete LOL. How many deeps did you end up putting them in. I am going tomorrow to smoke some out of a tree the hive just moved in about 2 weeks ago. The home owner was lucky enough to see them moving in. Thanks again for another great vid.
It wound up filling 2 entire deeps, and next week I will be adding the honey super to them, awesome bees for sure. Make sure you add a bit of Honey Bandit or another brand to the smoker, it chases the bees a lot better. Thanks for watching. God's peace Dennis. Mr. Ed

that looked to be an absolutely massive hive but with very conveniently sized pieces of comb! it also looked to be absolutely loaded with honey. do you have an estimate of the number of bees and the amount of honey it contained? aside from taking a honey shower because of the location how do your shoulders cope with that many hours of work above your head? when that machete fell it looked a bit scary a very good tool but one with some danger attached! also missed your taking a taste test! Impressive work as ever!
The comb size fit perfect into a frame which made the job so much easier to do. I guess there was over 40,000 bees in the hive and I got over 3 gallons of honey along with all the honey the bees got and the homeowner as well. The over head work is not what hurts, it's the hours on the ladder, my legs get very tired from all that up and down. Thanks for watching. Until the next one, God's peace Jean. Mr. Ed

I love your videos with good time Charlie. Those super size bee colonies especially the externally bee colony in the tree and many more. I need to get a good helper like good time Charlie it’s getting a little harder now that I’ve turned 75.
I buy them from Amazon, they are 7 X1/8 inch rubber bands and they come in a box of about 200 for around 10$. Good luck finding a helper, good ones like Charlie are far and few between. Thanks for watching. God's peace James. Mr. Ed

Blessings.😊
I’m truly amazed you found the queen in that huge mess of bees! I’d have to build a long deep box just to house all those
I am always a bit surprised when I do locate the queen, especially when the hive is as large as this one was.
God
Bless!
What a beautiful colony. They sure did make deep cells. I was kind of surprised that you were able to frame it up and still have bee space in the box.
Well, there was not a lot of space for the bees, but after adding the second deep box, they had a bit of wiggle room after. Still, it did fill up 2 deeps with bees and comb. God's peace brother.
Mr. Ed
One word. Epic! I sure hope you got Charlie a nice lunch 😆
Oh yes, he got lunch, but after 5 hours of wrangling bees, I was hungry as well. Thanks for watching. God's peace Phil.
Mr. Ed
I'm praying for your safety, as you're up and down on that ladder! May God keep you safe from injury!
Thank you so much for your prayers, blessings, and for taking the time to watch the video, it is all greatly appreciated. Until the next one, God's peace Lisa.
Mr. Ed
WOW, I did not think it was ever going to stop. Great job guys and thanks for sharing. Have a nice safe day and God bless you guys for all you do!!!
Wait till you see tomorrow's post, another massive hive...and bees with an attitude! Thank you for your blessings and for watching. Until the next time, God's peace Shane.
Mr. Ed
Those combs looked like they could go on forever! 😮
I'm certainly glad they did not, I was so glad when the honey shower was over. Awesome bees for sure! Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my bee wrangling/ bee rescues adventures and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace brother.

I’m halfway through and I can feel GTC getting hungry. 🤣
He got to the job hungry, but don't fret, we did eat after the job was done. Thanks for watching. God's peace Brian.
Mr. Ed
It got into the 90's we had yesterday. First time I did not need a sweater. You are going to have enough honey from that one hive to make a hundred bottles for the Abbey. God bless you and Charlie and the bees.
Good morning from Texas and Brushpopper Bee Wrangling .
When's the last time you wrangled a hive this large? Charlie and I have one next week that's even larger, stay tuned. Have a great day, and God's peace Robert.
Mr. Ed
There is a tool for every Job, you just have to find it. This was another great video. God bless all of you and the bees. Spring is here, 35f with a skiff of snow
Glad top hear the winter is finally leaving, enjoy the spring. Thank you for your blessings and for watching. God's peace Richard.

Amazing depth on those cells. Congrats to you and Charlie for saving them to the abbey. The Lord really blessed you that day!

Very nice! Lots of bees. Pretty new wax. Take care and God bless.
I can hardly wait to render this wax, I know I'm going to get some beautiful wax from it. Thank you for your blessings and for watching. God's peace Garry.

That honey and honey comb looks so delicious 😋 😋
Oh it definitely was good! Thanks for watching. God's peace brother.

Hope you show the box again in a month or so, curious how they fare in their new home :)
I very well may do that, this would make the third follow up video on a recent cut out. Stay tuned. God's peace.
Mr. Ed
Not your physically largest hive, but it was definitely packed. Convenient frame size comb, you didn't have to piece it together for a full frame. I laughed at the bee pom pom on your hood near the end. Thanks to you and Charlie for another enjoyable video!
I just love you and Charlie!! what a GREAT team you two are ❤❤❤
thank you Amy, and thank you so much for following along with our bee wrangling adventures. Until the next one, God's peace.

Thanks Matt
Thank you for your blessings, kind words, and for taking the time to follow along with our wrangling adventures, it is all greatly appreciated. Until the next one, God's peace Matt.
Mr. Ed
You guys taught me a new way to use the rubber bands! That is a great way, I've been having to thread the comb through the gap made by the frames when the rubber band is on both sides. Also, like the use of the portable folding table and cooler idea. Thank you.
Happy to pass along different ways of making a hard job a bit easier, delighted to hear you found the info useful. Good morning Charlie, Mr. Ed. Mug up from central NH, where we are under flood watch through tonight. I think it's the remainder of the system that dump that 10" on you. That was some deep drawn comb! Thanks for sharing! Always a pleasure, take care, Brice
Lemme guess, Charlie said two hours!
That was An amazing removal!
I promise I will be showing that process in future videos so stay tuned for that. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my bee wrangling/ bee rescues adventures and let me know what you think of them. You make a great team. 😊
Phewie! Now THAT was a labor of love. Lotta bees in that hive! Well done boys.
Great video, that suit looks to see a pressure washer/ washing machine. God Bless. Godspeed Brother. Nice catch btw.
The suit is toast after this removal. With so many holes and now all the honey, it went into the garbage. Thank you for your blessings and for watching. Until the next one, God's peace brother.

I always love your videos! Your joy is contagious :) I enjoy the whole bee process from the gathering to the processing to the melting!
P.S. I listen to your videos while I am working, can you play music while the vacuum is going because all you hear is the high pitch tone. thank you!

"Machete Wrangles" What a mess! But you are giving those bees a great home.
Just another amazing bee wrangling adventure that had a honey shower included with it. Thanks for watching. God's peace brother.

Wow, It was massive
Wow massive cutout, with so much comb to spare.

Hi, sorry, it was one of those late night comments with fat fingers and tired, old eyes. 😊
I’m a pilot here in the U.K. and I was instantly intrigued when I caught the comment about the flight suit and Vietnam. Please thank him for his service for me. The helicopter pilots in Vietnam did an incredibly dangerous and difficult job.
I’ve edited the original comment to what I thought I’d written. 😁
That’ll teach me to comment when I’m half asleep.
Myself and my Wife watch and love all of your videos.
Wow what a hive and as Charley said deep cone
That’s a job! Where is wreck-It Ralph when you need him or Harry’s helping hands is always available lol.
Beautiful honey comb. You guys worked hard.

You can hang your suit out on a line and the bees will come clean it up to an extent! LOL
That they would, that thing had about 10 pounds of honey in it from this removal. Thanks for watching. God's peace Gary.
Mr. Ed
So cool! Like I keep saying watching your videos I wanna do a removable like this some day (even better would to do 3, one with you, one with Dirt Rooster, and one with Mike Barry). I know it’s a lot of work but as I’ve always felt doing anything hard when it involves animal husbandry it’s a REWARDING feeling to a job well done. 🥰
Just say when and it could happen. Heck, you could even take the bees back home with you. Thanks for watching. God's peace.
Mr. Ed
@@JeffHorchoff that would be a bit of a haul to bring them back to TN lol. Some day I’ll figure how to get down there. I’ve enjoyed and learned so much from binge watching all three of y’all’s channels.

I have to agree. The overhead removals are by far the least favorite, and I press forward knowing the end of its coming. Great removal.

Another Wow, Wow, Wow! My wife walked into the room just as you said ''There she is Charlie'' and she automatically said ''Thank you Jesus!'' I laughed so hard. Thanks again boys. Also, I love to see the ''Wreck it Ralph'' rubber band method.

Mr. Ed
By the ton or by the mile, you two get on with it. Hello from one Vam vet to the other! Jesus weekend to you both and God Bless Yall!
Maan, that honey looks gooood!!!
It is VERY good, and I got over 3 gallons of it even after wasting so much of it as it was dripping down on me. Mr. Ed
that looked to be an absolutely massive hive but with very conveniently sized pieces of comb! it also looked to be absolutely loaded with honey. do you have an estimate of the number of bees and the amount of honey it contained? aside from taking a honey shower because of the location how do your shoulders cope with that many hours of work above your head? when that machete fell it looked a bit scary a very good tool but one with some danger attached! also missed your taking a taste test!
Mr. Ed
That machete seems to work really well.
It did the job, but I will make sure I have my long knife with me from now on. The machete was just to heavy and awkward to use. By the way, I post a new video every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace Joe.

Hey Mr. Ed you can try a mini Machete also. I have one in my small knife and sword collection.😊😊

@@JeffHorchoff yes you was covered in honey but it looked so good to
I was going to say with the honey, do you wash it or let the bees clean it as they were doing. That's a big one.
Actually the suit was so honey soaked and torn, I threw it out, let the bees clean it up, and then threw it away. God's peace brother.

Might need to make you tool to reach up in there and remove the comb.
I'll be anxiously waiting on the mailman to deliver it. Loving the hive tool for sure. God's peace brother.

Hey Mr. Ed. where do you get those rubber bands from? I can’t find them anywhere and I’ve checked everywhere I can think of office supplies, big box stores and so on. Please help.
