What if a face-hugger attacks a very large animal? Like the blue whale or prehistoric beasts?
What if a xenomorph embryo grows without a host? David will make the face-hugger release the embryo and feed him with all the nutrients he needs the embryo will be capable of developing or a host DNA is essential?
This is still operating on the plagiarus praepotens black goo strain, there is no initial embryo, it's basically a mutagen that is designed to directly convert hosts cells into the embryo in a sort of fucked up cancer
It would probably turn into a queen since, if I am remembering correctly, queens don't take the genetics of their host though I could be wrong.

@Frieren_a_freira_defeituosa it probably wouldn't work, the stuff the face huggers implant isn't an embryo, just a mutagen that converts the hosts tissue into the embryo

My own question, what if a facehugger attacked a Death Angel from A Quiet Place? Another question, what if a facehugger attacked a Symbiote from the Insomniac Spider Man games?
I think the death angel might kill it without the face hugger even being able to do anything. But if the facehugger still managed to infect it, the xenomorph death angel created might be faster, stronger and have even stronger armor, whilst still being blind. Spooky!

I don't think it work on Godzilla due to him being radioactive and his radioactive furnace would incinerate the embryo

But rather instead infect them with a mutagenic virus that quickly adapts to the host's body, forcing the body to create an embryo within the chest cavity while the xenomorph embryo inherits certain characteristics from its host organism after birth.
Also, a facehugger can infect creatures larger than itself by jumping into their mouths, or If said creature like Godzilla swallows the facehugger whole. Kind of like a vore thing..

His experiment probably would have worked if he spliced the DNA of a Facehugger with that of a host’s DNA, and then tried to implant the Plagiarus praepotens into this hybrid Facehugger.
That said, it would certainly take many failed attempts to find a creature with similar DNA to avoid its untimely death.

Well... Likely their DNA being exactly identical wouldn't work so well when trying to steal traits from each other it could make a spider thing with a sharp tail that grabs onto things and stabs them to death...
His creation reminds me of the creature that girl gave birth to in romulus, that thing was horrifying. Even more so than the xenomorphs and face huggers.
