Thanks for coming back to watch another of the narrative games.
This time Emma pilots the veteran Guardsman and I run the Wyrmblade kill team as we both upgrade from the compendium teams in this narrative collision of kill team on Thea 7.
Continuing the story from episode 2 the Imperial forces in the Ventris system fight back against a deadly cult uprising.

This narrative series has got to be my favorite thing on Kill Team youtube right now. Like, actually pumped my fist when that last guardsman made his heroic charge into the mutant. Stunning work, just stunning. Cannot wait for more.

Looked like for some bad luck for the guardsmen on those overheating plasma shots
@@rickstar171 The overheated lasgun were a bit of a miss for them. Shooting at target with invuns (kmorph) and the mutant was just a cutodes so could take a few hits and still keep going. But the plasma pistol was the worst - it was like a all 2s and 1s when she rolled and then rerolled into 1's - so no hits just an exploding plasma to the face. feels like it shouldnt have happen to the Vet guard - need to do a head swap for the serg now give him a burn scar

All of your vids are the bomb I love the extra effort you put into each vid. Most battle report style vids are only really interesting because of the game you play. Yours are beyond that and are really fun to watch even as just stand alone entertainment. I love the extra voice work, effects, and narratives you come up with. Never change!

I've always felt the weakest part of battle reports is the hyper focus on the dice rolling. This feels more like the old school white dwarf battle reports. By focusing on the actions taken and then using the narrative to justify the outcomes and decisions you make the entire experience so much more compelling.

Cheers man, I was pretty lazy with the abberant homebrew - we both had never used the teams before so i didn't want to confuse things too much so i just used a custodes base for both the captain and the abberant to keep it simple and balanced. I do think i'll beef him up a little though and have him replace XAPL from a wyrmblade team and give him custom rules.
I like your story telling during the Killteam play. Did you play by yourself, or against/with someone. Thanks for the great entertainment

Okay, you’ve gotten enough accolades. Two questions. You house ruled to allow more than two cult operatives? And, another HR to let the Wyrmblade sniper counter the Vet sniper who had to be concealed in cover? Or have I just missed something? And of course, outstanding work. I share your vids with people who don’t even play tabletop and they love them as well.
:D Mmmm not really - the wyrmblade still only had 2 agents - Keller and Locust. The abherrant at the end was houseruled but matched the deathwatch captain to made it 'even'. So there wasn't a wyrmblade sniper so i think you mean the heavy gunner - it might not have been clear in the video but the buildings all have 2 levels above ground - vet sniper was in conceal on the 1st floor and on the 2nd floor above ground the heavy gunner with mining laser was on a vantage point as he was circle higher than the vet sniper so he could ignore the light cover he was getting from the partial wall. We did add a HR/Custom gear to the sniper spotter team for the Vet Guard though - as normally the sniper has to be visible to the spotter for their combo to work. Ahh, I must have mistaken what I heard. I thought you said Wyrmblade Sniper but perhaps I was too emotionally involved to think rationally. And I totally missed the multiple levels. Neat, never used that, but will in the future. Thanks again for your creative genius.
