I think the big thing about Brad's command point rerolls is that he has to stop rolling ones. If he just rolls higher numbers then it's a much better play.
That;s why I've always been baffled by players who leave their bases undone - the more I am in the hobby, the more I think that bases are easily as, if not more important than your actual paintjob on the model, while taking a fraction of the time to do. And this is a great example of that kind of theming. Without the base it would be just white smeared all over some poor guardsman, with that snowy base it looks great.

Yes, exaction squad looks and feels good...its just bad. Im glad you feel interested in KT its a great and fun game imo, one of the best around, this point can and will probably be argued upon. But to each their own. But it would make me sad to see you have a bad KT experience playing a team that you need to bend over backwards to experience a fighting chance OMEGALUL

What the heeeeck! I literally bought the Exaction Squad an hour ago!!! I havent watched the video yet but Im excited as heck! Please keep these battle reports going. The quality is genuinely the best of any channel on TH-cam 🎉
I play exaction squad too, it's difficult to get into a position where you overwhelm your opponent, but there is this battle I will remember forever... I was against my friend playing necrons, he obliterated all of my units over the first turns but 3 shield guys and the malocator and I haven't got a single model... But then I reached him and locked him into melee fight and bonked all those necrons to death hahaha

Mountainside, GFN and Grimdark Gamers are my favorite channels. Maybe in the distant future we will see a cooperation BatRep of Brad and Vic playing against Jester and Gregor. That would be awesome. Sadly the distance makes it seem unlikely.
I think this map wasn't a good setup. Lots of open line of sight through the board, and a vantage point easily accessible on turn 1 overlooking the deployment zone.
I was so excited to see Vet Guard being played! Was always a fan of the snorkie death chasing trench gremlins, and to see them played to their absolute lore accurate fullness was a real treat! Thanks Brad & Vic for another awesome video!

As an Arbites fan, for the love of the Lex, get a sniper and Revelatum! But it was, as described, a meta leaned Vet list into a jank Exaction Squad, so its just too bad.
I think the whole demo thing could have been avoided if one of the subductors just fought killed the hardend due to hitting on 2+ with support. Then charged the demo guy to keep him tied up.
Yeah I agree. Turn 1 he should've just killed the Hardened rather than just passing. Conceal most operatives until turn 2 then skelp with shot guns. They complain about playing Exaction and then play them wrong. Kain fit I mean like? 🤣
Love seeing the vet guard kill team. I didn't realize they can have 4 extra guys. I always play the auxileray as the bombing runs. I will have to try that if I have the extra units lol.

Bummer for Brad, but the demo man can do some crazy damage, it is usually more than you expect. On the command rolls, maybe just go cold turkey and forbid using them for a game or two? It is the most boring way to spend CP anyway.
Instead of a second exaction squad box you should get some hearthkyn. I’d love to see them on this channel. I know y’all would paint them up sick and give them a cool beat.
Wow, this is such TERRIBLE terrain set up! Drop Zones should be mostly safe to deploy, there shouldn't be so much opportunity for almost unrestricted shooting at enemy models TP1 before they even have a chance to move! It just makes the entire opening of the game a pointless exercise in dice rolling because all these attacks are unavoidable. Hahaha, I Blast-ed your group of models on my first move and it's game over, good game... No. You should absolutely -put more heavy, visibility blocking cover in drop zones -put obscuring or visibility blocking terrain in the middle so that light cover in drop zones can't be easily negated from Vantage Points readily accessible from opposing drop zones
yo, I don't think that you can dash with vets before game starts with Into the Breach, you just get a free Dash in a activation not an immediate dash before TP starts

Great to see non-KT terrain being used - I think many are overly wedded to using nothing but the killzones sets.
