We fell in love with Gibraltar after getting married there. We stayed on the Sunborn and we'd highly recommend it to anyone getting married in Gib. We were lucky enough to be allocated a room on the airport side which is away from the bars and a little quieter. Gib is a quirky place which we like. Its fascinating listening to the locals flicking between Spanish and English in the same conversation, sometimes in the same sentence!!
Thanks Tim for bringing Gibraltar to us, it looks a great place. The video was stunning, you are doing a fantastic job and what you are doing far exceeds what the TV channels are providing.
We don't really need any advertising! Many locals make great videos of our rock. But we are glad that you enjoyed your stay, you are welcome back anytime. A nicely put together video.. thank you.
I'm a brit who's had the pleasure of visiting Gib on a few occasions. What strikes me most about the lovely people there is that they're (for the most part) so proud of their heritage and identity. More so than anywhere I've lived in GB. I often fantasise about living there. Such a beautiful part of the world. EDIT: This video has brought back many fond memories. Thank you.

Wow! Been following you for a while and never realised you did a walk around Gibraltar, and WOW you went everywhere! I have been working in Gibraltar for 15 years and you've reminded me just how great it is. As a cross border worker, I just see the business district area every day and offices and its easy to forget the other side and the top of the rock. You really know the place well, even a few facts I didn't know! The big building near eastern beach are new apartments, supposed to be affordable housing. Soon you won't see cars crossing the runway as the new airport tunnel (Near eastern beach) is due to be opened in the next month or so finally! But you will still be able to walk and cycle over the runway crossing. Great video Tim! The Gibraltar tourist board could probably use your expertise!
Thanks Tim more footage on your break to Gibraltar,a never new was UK territory till your live ,it's amazing ,and enjoyed your story , information, and fantastic Camara work very much ,cheers our Tim 🤗
Thanks for this wonderful video, I have been to Gibraltar several times when I visited my sister who used to live near Marbella. It is a fascinating place. When at the top the view over the strait to Africa shows just how narrow it it. On at the top of the rock you are standing on one of the Pillars of Hercules looking at the other in Morocco, Jebel Musa.
BEAUTIFUL, especially the way you managed to capture everything. I highly recommend to anyone who hasn’t visited Gibraltar to make sure to add it to your bucket list ❤️❤️
Brilliant video Tim! As a local, I’m really happy with your video, highlighting the best parts of our little area in the mediterranean, especially our unforgettable Britishness which many people don’t know about 😄 Glad you enjoyed your stay. Shame you didn’t speak to any locals to ask them how British we are, I’m sure you would’ve had some very interesting and patriotic responses 😂 You’re welcome back any time!

Thank you Tim. I have only just had time to look at your video of Gibraltar and well what a pleasant surprise. I went there with Mum in 1960, it was pouring with rain and all I can recall is that it seemed a lot of nothing and all up hill. We were coming home from Singapore on a ship and it docked there, well out to sea and we went to shore on a small boat , bobbing around on this choppy sea. You have changed my perception of Gib , I think I would like to visit again now I am 76. So 60 odd years later.
You correctly refer to the architecture looking British in some places (the red brick building you pointed out is the British Governor's Residence). Then you say it looks Spanish in other parts. However, the building you pointed out as Spanish looking, and most other traditional residential buildings in Gibraltar have a strong Genoese/Maltese influence. Hence all the Venetian shutters. There were Spanish style buildings at one point, single floor, with red tiled roofs, but those have mostly disappeared as the population expanded, because of the need to build upwards. To a visitor, the most Spanish thing about Gibraltar will the the language you hear on the streets. While the official and formal language is English, informal conversation is mostly conducted in Llanito. That is, a mixture of English and Spanish, peppered with local versions of words borrowed from Maltese, Italian, and Moroccan Berber.
That was an eccellent video and a wonderful tour of Gibraltar. I have been to Gibraltar and hope to get back again one day. Thank you for making this video.
Now, with your video, I don't have to go to Gibraltar, but I would like to. Your very extensive description gives us a complete picture and confirms that Gibraltar is much more than just a rock

Hi Tim, great vid, I really enjoyed this. Here's a tip for you: The word Stalactite has the letter 'c' in it. Think of c, think of ceiling. Stalactites hang from the ceiling. So obviously, stalagmites are the ones on the ground. Hope you can understand that, lol! 😁
Great video, I really enjoyed watching. Just one pointer, the buildings you see around Gibraltar are of Genoese decent , not Spanish as you mentioned whilst you were stood outside the convent. Other than that very informative video. Greetings from a Gibraltarian. 🇬🇮🇬🇧
First time I have ever seen Gibraltar properly. Beautiful. And that sunset was stunning. Best things were the apes. Gorgeous little things. Thank you. 😊
I visited Gibraltar while on a cruise in the Mediterranean. I was amazed oh the massive tunnels in that mountain. It was a city underground and the Nazis were clueless about it. England planned massive operation from that mountain against Nazi Germany during WWII.
Wonderful video Tim ... Superb .... BEAUTIFUL place ..... The easiest way to remember the difference between Stalagmites and Stalactites is .... The one with the G in it grows up from the GROUND ... The other with the C in it grows down from the CEILING .... Paula x
What a superb introduction to Gibraltar! You captured the beauty of it really nicely! Have only visited once for a long weekend & can’t wait to return & see more😀We went to Catalan Beach, which as you showed is really lovely (but it just worked out that we were there on a Saturday & it was jam packed -not really relaxing, but I’m sure it’s amazing on other days. Is there a quiet beach bar/restaurant at another beach you would recommend?
Never realised just how British Gibraltar really is...looks lovely, but personally I go on holiday to get away from “Morrison’s” and the like. That said, I can see the appeal and of course the great climate. Loved the video, very informative...and maybe we will pay a visit to the rock one day..👍

I used to live in Gib as a child while my father served in the RAF, in the mid `60`s, my how it`s changed since I was there , thanks for such an informative video, I must visit Gib again.
Lol thanks Gail
@@WalkWithMeTim I always remember it this way... Tites (Tights) come down! Think of tights hanging down on a washing line.
Indeed, the sunset was breathtaking! Thank you for an enjoyable trip. 😍
Great video Tim. The skywalk definitely not on my to do list😳
Lol
Going there next week from Portugal . Thanks for the awesome tips!
Have fun! remember to subscribe
Brilliant 👏 looks a lovely place and so interesting well done Tim xx
Glad you enjoyed it Nikki , thanks for watching
Fantastic video! I moved here from London 20 years ago and never looked back.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I did, thank you. I've shared it on Facebook. 😊
BIG THUMBS UP 🏝️🙋
Thanks
This is the best Gibraltar tour on TH-cam. Thanks!
Wow thanks
Great video, I really enjoyed watching. Just one pointer, the buildings you see around Gibraltar are of Genoese decent , not Spanish as you mentioned whilst you were stood outside the convent. Other than that very informative video. Greetings from a Gibraltarian. 🇬🇮🇬🇧
Hey, thanks for the comment 😀
Paula x
@@WalkWithMeTim A pleasure ... I'm off to watch (late I know) your Gibraltar Live stream now... Take care Wanderlust, love to Gaby x
@@Paula-dl9ky lol thanks and remember to subscribe ;-)
I really wish I’d of been there it looks amazing x
Me too 😄
Gaby, "I'd of been" is wrong. It's "I'd've been" or better still "I would've been" or "I would have been" 👍
Hang on a minute, you WERE there. You're naughty!

I’ve never considered putting Gibraltar on my wanderlust list, but after this video, I just might. How fantastic! Excellent content, Tim! Well done 👍
Went to Gibraltar as part of a tour. What a great place !
Agree
What a superb introduction to Gibraltar! You captured the beauty of it really nicely! Have only visited once for a long weekend & can’t wait to return & see more😀We went to Catalan Beach, which as you showed is really lovely (but it just worked out that we were there on a Saturday & it was jam packed -not really relaxing, but I’m sure it’s amazing on other days. Is there a quiet beach bar/restaurant at another beach you would recommend?
yes North beach is a lot quieter
thank you
Never realised just how British Gibraltar really is...looks lovely, but personally I go on holiday to get away from “Morrison’s” and the like. That said, I can see the appeal and of course the great climate.
Loved the video, very informative...and maybe we will pay a visit to the rock one day..👍
It really is!
hi. Loved this video. Thank you very much for showing Gibraltar well. I was able to view so much. thank you. Linda Crawshaw from South Africa
