Reps look horrible and tell me all about the owner. Cant afford the wheel they want so they chose to go higher in size of their factory wheels. In other words...looks dumb as shit
Started before the Carolina squat. When the nnbs Silverado texas addition wheels came out they started oem over size look when they started creating them oversize and also in the 5 lug ck variant for the obs fans
I started seeing this trend, around 2014-2015, around the RGV area and south Texas. People were putting 07-13 Silverado Texas edition wheels/reps, on their 88-98 and 99-06 trucks. I mean they were everywhere. I even seen them on 1500 Express vans around here.
So we not gonna talk about the mission incident where they were jacking trucks and leaving in the orange groves in the mid 2000s? How about the TBSS replicas everybody ran before the 07 texas editions? When the 07 texas editions came out they were the most stolen rim in the RGV. I'm from Pharr and it's been here way before 2014. Hell i can even remember my sophomore year in high school in 07 texas editions and tbss replicas were everywhere at my school. Still remember the cops arresting a guy during school hours for having stolen rims.
I love my High Country OEMs but I wanted something with some offset. I didn’t want to be that guy to get OEM snowflakes & add 2 inch spacers. Just not for me, but I did give my OEMs to my father’s work van.
wwe dont just use rough country here to squat trucks, we use any and all lift kits such as mcgaughys, superlift, zone, pro-comp, fts, tcs, showoff or cognito. and we dont just throw on 22s we go big or go home... 6s and 7s
Reps dont look bad at all. I like flakes and ltzs and Denalis and one other idk the name for. Good clean look and just casual. Here in the Carolinas 24”-26” reps are what most guys run. I have 24” flakes on my truck with a 3” leveling kit. Looks really good. Dont get me wrong 14 wides look sick but cost a lot to run them. You need a big lift and they cost more so big reps are just a more cost effective wheel if you want sum clean and your in high school or out🤷♂️ All around I like them👍
Oem reps in my opinion only look good with lowered trucks and suvs lifted not so much. I like the stretched tire look on a lifted truck. And oem reps look good with obs trucks thats why I'm getting some for mine
I'm hoping to buy some 26 inch chrome snowflake reps for my leveled 2014 silverado. The black rims everyone runs around here are overplayed and tacky lol. Plus I don't want to be harassed for major offset
Wdym you don’t know where the trend started from it’s been there in the Takuache scene with the lowered trucks having replicas. That’s where it started and that’s where it should stay, lifted trucks with replicas just don’t look nice.
Takauche is a new term bro. It used to be called the suelo scene where everyone slammed their trucks with "mexidrops" cutting springs to lower or removing leafs from the back rarely with a drop kit of C notch. I remember in 2006 when people would run TBSS replicas on slammed single cabs then in 07 it was the texas edition rims.
@@javiergonzalez3047 new term doesn’t change the scene. The scene was still there and putting on oem or reps on the dropped trucks was from that scene.
@@NathanC-YT Personally, I've seen very few that actually pull it off well. My biggest issue with reps is everyone STILL runs those goddamn snowflakes and think they're the hottest shit ever. If I was going to do it all over again, I'd still have gone with 14 wides of some 26" reps of any type.
I'm gonna go stock on my next build... got some 2021 RST wheels for cheap so I'm gonna run the 20s on some 33s on my 5in RC lifted 2007 GMC Sierra. I already have Hostile Sprockets on my 3rd Gen Dodge so wanna keep this one simpler.
Wide wheels aren’t the move....Stocks on grapppz baby. Clean and simple and when you hit the dirt roads you don’t sling mud all down the side of your truck and you don’t have to dodge potholes.
Whoa Whoa Whoa my guy. Cali Lean and Carolina Squat are nowhere near the same thing. Cali Lean is simply as it states, a lean. Slight lean at that, with a max difference of 2 inches from front to back. Carolina Squat on the other hand is exactly as it states. Your truck is literally squatting in the back with the front looking to get ahead of Elon Musks next launch mission. 🤣🍻
I’m so ashamed to live in North Carolina, we have the absolute worst taste in trucks. NO YOUR SINGLE CAB SILVERADO DOES NOT LOOK GOOD ON 6 INCHES OF SQUAT WITH 26x9s and 33s!
The takuaches and the Carolina squat boys got real excited when they saw this video posted lol

with that being said, gonna need you guys to stock up on some more reps. sincerely, one of the Carolina boys
Texas started the OEM look with the BIG Texas rim. Stock looking rim never gets outdated like a Fuel rim.

the silverado in then opening 26’s an 33’s or 35’s is it lifted or leveled ? thanks

99 f250 OEM 8 lugs are mint

My friends always make fun of me for my hat being crooked, can we get the custom offsets staff to do the same to Dusti... at least before videos start
