Lucifer invasions are aids in general. You either get a back peddler, a gank squad, someone sitting at bonfire ready to summon, someone GTFOing to the boss room, or all of the above

I used to play Crossfire on PC with hacks when I first started, but only because it was hilarious to run around the map at 600% walking speed whilst invisible WHILE firing the loudest sniper rifle in the game at full auto even though it's a bolt action and sometimes you still get shot anyways because you end up running right into someone's line of fire. Lol I stopped after the first account or so got banned. After that I started actually becoming good at the game even though it's been roughly 3 years since I've played it. Fun as fuck! Requires a LOT of $money$ in order to get the good stuff in the game, though. Anyways, peace lol

And as time passed the game became unplayable because in every 2. Game you Had at least 2 hackers. Sometimes they run across the map in Godmode and knivekill everyone or your whole Team gets shot by a sniper across the map Just after the Match started. Ofc for the Hacker it's fun but for everyone else that trys to enjoy the game the normal way it's not. That's why I stopped playing it.

I truly fell in love with Ghost Mode as well as some of the Mutation Modes they have in the game (that, and sniping is fun as hell lol). Last time I was on, though, there seemed to be little to no hackers for the longest time! I haven't been on SUPER recently, but if I'm not mistaken, I think they've since cleaned all that up and made the game playable again! Lemme know if you get into it again, man. That shit was my childhood lol

Didn't see you mention it, but the main scythe deals only physical damage and scales with dexterity. The off-hand scythe that comes out in the weapon art, deals only magic damage and scales with intelligence. It's actually more viable to use pure dexterity, as your 1 and 2 handed attacks, and 1/2 the weapon art attacks, scale only with dexterity. Also, only the main scythe attacks can be parried.

But they still get your souls, ears and vertebrae shackles, if you were purple boi. That's a tie for sure. Host just loses embered state. Ember was used already anyways.
An invasion tie is when everyone present in the world is doing a sitting gesture together. If anybody is missing it doesn't count, and as soon as someone deals damage to another player the tie is nil and the fight is back on until there is a winner or another tie.
As a Friedes Scythe player the best way to get free damage is to start weapon art without locking and attack backwards the first slash then lock a greedy opponent and see it melt him

My recommendation is not one weapon, but the obvious Praetorian cosplay to try: - Short sword - Gladius - Follower javelin - Pilum - Twin dragon shield - Scutum - Hard leather armor - For support maybe short bow(?) and fire arrow, for respect the machine of the ancient Roman Empire. And the fact, if it's possible to build this up, or not.
@@LordThatch I wrote cosplay. The lion shield is visible on my back, when I wield twin dragon shield too. Use valorheart, if your taste of cosplay allows that option, stranger. For me, that will never happen in this "build".

@@Dot-yz9nu no. A glitch is using a bug in the game's code to preform an action that's otherwise impossible in the game. If the action is impossible, you are not supposed to be able to do it. If you do it, you are breaking the established rules of the game. Ergo, it's cheating, with the only difference between it and hacks being that it doesn't need a third party.
Stance R2 into stance R1: the R1 combos with the R2, comes out really fast to lock target into a stagger that lasts long enough to trap the target into the icy explosion. Just saying.
As a new player to DS3, as soon as I got to get this scythe, I learned and practiced the moveset. Its extremely fun starting with the long wombo combo, going into stance again later and baiting them into a Ice wave knock up. I love this weapons strong attack move set as well
So glad you finally did this one. I currently run the FGS, but unlike most I try not to spam the melee half of the weapon art. I probably spam frostbite more actually, but I just use it mainly for it's unique moveset. Too bad you found some arena hackers, it seems the scythe is somewhat of a hacker magnet. Sometimes I find hackers too, but I will more times than not get bodied by a cathedral knight w/FUGS and get pointed down afterwards. Gotta love the community. Sick video dude.

Perfect showcase of the Scythe: a slower weapon that tends to lose trades and poise wars, but a highly variable moveset with combo potential and can be played unlocked.

ive actually never had a hacker point down at me,so far all of them hacked in so many effects that my game ran too low fps for online, causing a kick to the startup screen. that and the one with damage but no hitstun immunity that i made ragequit after a few parries and a minute of rollcatching
Ever tried the blessed Dragonslayer axe/lothric ultragreatsword on a regen build? The regen paired with sunlight spear and a few "get off me" spells is just so awesome.

Hell yeah another God tier showcase Chase! Thanks for the info on the scythe. Also, for anyone reading this: I've noticed the arena is kind of full of trash people. I'm just starting PvP after doing everything there is to do in the game for 4 playthroughs, and I'm not really that good or bad. Yet I've seen people ambush me in the angel arena, seen people run away to use great heal (sometimes even trying more than once), I've had matches where I'm playing good against solid players, only to have them take my last 2 hits with exploding bolts, and I've seen people intentionally using crappy connections to get an advantage in matches (repeatedly fought them, always had latency against only them, and they fought like they KNEW they had latency. Like it was a strategy. Point is, there is very little "Honor" in the honorable duels in my experience. In invasions, you do what you gotta do, but arena should be all about skill and a fair fight. Why do people fight like it's an invasion? You lose nothing if you die, and you gain nothing if you win. Why even bother playing in the arena if you're gonna be a cheating little crybaby?
So weird to come back and watch this lol I was watching your video about fighting 5 players in a dungeon and someone in the 2nd invasion had a scythe and I realized I never saw a build where you used this particular scythe so I came and found it.
With Friede's Sctyhe you can delay attacks, as well as the weapon art, and it will continue the combo. So you can throw people's timing off. The weapon art also has an extra attack after both scythe hit on the ground.
Bit of a late comment for this video but I just love how the guy realized he wasn't going to be able to kill you before the time ran out so he mega hacked an instant grab with the dark hand.
The frostbite weapon art is also good at space denial, just press that and you can estus safely. They'll either back away or get stunned from the blast and be open for punish, works in ganks if they don't surround you.
Tip (late, yes, but helpful)- a great way to counter the L2s for Friede’s scythe is just use the winged knight halberd weapon art. It will poise through and continually at stun lock them (not sure if that’s the best term)
If I'm right, Scythes have a strange hitbox where if you're too close and the scythe's head goes past your target you'll deal less damage compared to when the scythe's hits the target head on.

Friede's scythe can also deal damage a lil after the swing. Like if you were to time a roll past a enemy and then attack facing away, the scythe can hook around and deal nice damage.
We all get hackers. During these last two weeks I had to grind up my reputation with aldrich faithful and farron's covenant. 40% of my matches were populated by hackers who sent you to an endless death loop with one swing or who flied around and shot fire nukes at you. The game has an awful problem with cheaters and yet the anti cheat is only triggered by actually innocent people who got flagged cause they have their gaming keyboard / mouse software running.
Still one of my favorite weapons, esp for pve. Huge weakness to your forward-right though, the vertical swings has such a wide wiff range you really want to stick to vertical swipes as much as possible. Scoring double kills feels great tho.
Once you get good with Friede's weapon art, it's virtually overpowered with the right stats. The ground frost cut's through armour like it's nothing and does a buttload of damage, or create distance if you need it. The Hyper armor let's you bait like a champ too.
Do you know if a stat controls the ground frost range? Because when I do the Weapon Art my frost is only a smal area in front of me and not so big like in this video (or others I watched)
@@fabi3790 As far as I'm aware, no stat alters the area of affect on the weapon art. I haven't noticed any change in my own experimentation either. It should look about three frost clusters long in a fan formation, as seen in the video. If yours doesn't look like that, I'm unsure what it could possibly be other than a graphical glitch. If you don't have enough FP, the animation will play but it simply doesn't cast any frost on the ground, does that sound like what you're experiencing? Can't think of anything else, other than maybe the varying terrain creating the illusion of a difference.

I probably spam frostbite more actually, but I just use it mainly for it's unique moveset. Too bad you found some arena hackers, it seems the scythe is somewhat of a hacker magnet. Sometimes I find hackers too, but I will more times than not get bodied by a cathedral knight w/FUGS and get pointed down afterwards. Gotta love the community. Sick video dude.

Perfect showcase of the Scythe: a slower weapon that tends to lose trades and poise wars, but a highly variable moveset with combo potential and can be played unlocked.

You need a button that teleports the nearest hacker id'd with the blue sentinel mod to a pit deathbox and screws with their camera in case they're immortal.

ive actually never had a hacker point down at me,so far all of them hacked in so many effects that my game ran too low fps for online, causing a kick to the startup screen. that and the one with damage but no hitstun immunity that i made ragequit after a few parries and a minute of rollcatching
Ever tried the blessed Dragonslayer axe/lothric ultragreatsword on a regen build? The regen paired with sunlight spear and a few "get off me" spells is just so awesome.
Blessed drakeblood, ethereal oak shield, sun princess ring, and bountiful light, pretty awesome in the arena, especially against turtles :D
+ With this set up you can just use your regular ring setup besides the sun princess ring

Hell yeah another God tier showcase Chase! Thanks for the info on the scythe. Also, for anyone reading this: I've noticed the arena is kind of full of trash people. I'm just starting PvP after doing everything there is to do in the game for 4 playthroughs, and I'm not really that good or bad. Yet I've seen people ambush me in the angel arena, seen people run away to use great heal (sometimes even trying more than once), I've had matches where I'm playing good against solid players, only to have them take my last 2 hits with exploding bolts, and I've seen people intentionally using crappy connections to get an advantage in matches (repeatedly fought them, always had latency against only them, and they fought like they KNEW they had latency. Like it was a strategy. Point is, there is very little "Honor" in the honorable duels in my experience. In invasions, you do what you gotta do, but arena should be all about skill and a fair fight. Why do people fight like it's an invasion? You lose nothing if you die, and you gain nothing if you win. Why even bother playing in the arena if you're gonna be a cheating little crybaby?

With Friede's Sctyhe you can delay attacks, as well as the weapon art, and it will continue the combo. So you can throw people's timing off. The weapon art also has an extra attack after both scythe hit on the ground.

Bit of a late comment for this video but I just love how the guy realized he wasn't going to be able to kill you before the time ran out so he mega hacked an instant grab with the dark hand.
The frostbite weapon art is also good at space denial, just press that and you can estus safely. They'll either back away or get stunned from the blast and be open for punish, works in ganks if they don't surround you.
The weapon art that procs frostbite actually does magic damage but also procs frostbite
Tip (late, yes, but helpful)- a great way to counter the L2s for Friede’s scythe is just use the winged knight halberd weapon art. It will poise through and continually at stun lock them (not sure if that’s the best term)
If I'm right, Scythes have a strange hitbox where if you're too close and the scythe's head goes past your target you'll deal less damage compared to when the scythe's hits the target head on.

Friede's scythe can also deal damage a lil after the swing. Like if you were to time a roll past a enemy and then attack facing away, the scythe can hook around and deal nice damage.

During these last two weeks I had to grind up my reputation with aldrich faithful and farron's covenant. 40% of my matches were populated by hackers who sent you to an endless death loop with one swing or who flied around and shot fire nukes at you. The game has an awful problem with cheaters and yet the anti cheat is only triggered by actually innocent people who got flagged cause they have their gaming keyboard / mouse software running.

Still one of my favorite weapons, esp for pve. Huge weakness to your forward-right though, the vertical swings has such a wide wiff range you really want to stick to vertical swipes as much as possible. Scoring double kills feels great tho.

Once you get good with Friede's weapon art, it's virtually overpowered with the right stats. The ground frost cut's through armour like it's nothing and does a buttload of damage, or create distance if you need it. The Hyper armor let's you bait like a champ too.
Do you know if a stat controls the ground frost range?
Because when I do the Weapon Art my frost is only a smal area in front of me and not so big like in this video (or others I watched)
@@fabi3790 As far as I'm aware, no stat alters the area of affect on the weapon art. I haven't noticed any change in my own experimentation either. It should look about three frost clusters long in a fan formation, as seen in the video. If yours doesn't look like that, I'm unsure what it could possibly be other than a graphical glitch. If you don't have enough FP, the animation will play but it simply doesn't cast any frost on the ground, does that sound like what you're experiencing? Can't think of anything else, other than maybe the varying terrain creating the illusion of a difference.
