Survival Expert REACTS to Subnautica | Experts React

- On this episode of “Experts React”, our survival expert, Kinga Philipps, will be reacting to the game “Subnautica”.
“Subnautica” begins with the crash of the Aurora on Planet 4546B, a planet completely covered in water, in the late 22nd century. There is one sole long-term survivor, who is the protagonist of the story. It is then up to the player to make it through the initial days with a partially broken Lifepod 5 and a few resources at their disposal, improve their situation by learning about the alien environment and gathering resources, building better equipment, and maybe even find a way home.
The Survivor later discovers that this planet is under quarantine because of an infection and its protected by a big automated alien weapon which destroys everything that either enters or leaves the planet.
The survival expert, Kinga, will tell us what we should do if there’s a fire in an enclosed space, what can we eat if we’re stranded at sea, how long we can survive in the water, how to deal with sharks if they’re attacking you and much more.
Find out what our survival expert thinks on this episode of “Experts React”.

Why didn't they send a broadcast into space that said DO NOT LAND THIS PLANET IS UNDER QUARANTINE the only problem is that it might not be in a human language but we have seen that the pda can translate and that's just one pda
@@mr.potato2223 That PDA seems to be connected to a server, given that it can receive and store information that's transmitted to it through space and time. With that in mind, the PDA is little more than a physical client application that translates the basis of continued survival on an alien planet, from the servers of the scientific corporation Alterra, which your character is hired at. So the PDA isn't the one doing the translation. The servers at Alterras different headquarter locations throughout the galaxy, are the ones doing it. The PDA just receives everything it tells you via OTA (Over The Air), which is also how all modern phones receive their update packages

Actually, if you listen, they roar constantly. Over and over and it doesn't mean they see you, the attacking roar and passive roar are a little bit different. The repeating one goes low and then goes a little bit higher, while the aggressive roar goes high, HIGHER and then back to low. You have the advantage because of hearing, and the OP stasis rifle. The Aurora's captain and crew didn't even know they were passing a planet with alien architecture, let alone active alien weapons. Yeah it's weird.
We're looking at the things and reading them via the language of video games, she's looking at them through the language of the natural world. Real-world things akin to the stalker are more streamlined and less colourful, so it looks less like an angry bitey fish to her and more like something advertising that it is hard to eat. We just look at the big teeth and think 'right, it's going to want to use those, probably on me'.
I don't know how a stalker reminded her of a seahorse instead of a alligator lol
It's not actually that wierd considering that Jellyfish actually kill like 8 times more people than Sharks.
"Don't go near Jellyfish" is way more important of a message than "don't go near sharks".
@@lexslate2476Bro what you mean language of the natural world, being scared of sharp things like big teeth and claws are literally natural instinct

"I had to push tiger sharks with my hands" she said casually...
At this point we should be getting a video game based of off her adventures
It’s actually incredibly common for people who swim with sharks since it’s the only way to stop them from swimming into you and causing you to brush the nerves on their noses which trigger a feeding response.
Once when I went underwater for researching saltwater fishes a shark came near me and at that time I freaked out really hard in front of my group , cause I only had an year of experience . But the shark was totally friendly and it even let me pet it . By that time I had peed in my suit .
