if thats the case, I wouldn't care if even my kid was the away team, I'd be like "Sorry hun, your parents are defecting to the enemy lines, we'll try getting footage for you though!" lol
Always the biggest problem with marching bands on football fields, everyone's instruments are pointing away from half the crowd and shows generally have to be designed for one side of the stadium anyways.
I’ve seen this video so many times now. I think this happened when I was a freshman in high school marching band, and now I’m graduating college and I still have chills watching the horse. I get actual tears in my eyes. Now when I make fun of OSU (which I’m contractually obligated to do as a Michigander, despite not caring about sports) I always add that their band is incredible.
This one was my brother's first time marching with the OSU marching band! I'm still amazed at how the band and him were able to do something as amazing as this c:
They just marching in straight lines... The formations are rather easy, it's the holding the instrument properly for the entire show that can be difficult
The choreographer was the mastermind behind making it look real. As a band member, we just got instructions like *start here - move to here - move at this speed* and we practiced over and over until it was memorized.
My boyfriend wants to go to OSU and was saying they had a great marching band, but it only just now registered that this band is OSU's for me. I've been watching these shows for years now! Easily my favorite college-style marching group (Drum Corps is a different beast entirely).
Honestly I'm a Michigan fan from the greater Detroit area and I still watch this video and have to give respect where respect is due. This is freaking incredible.
5 years later and yeah, I cry every time. My husband is like "why you cry???" and I just can't explain it. It's the crescendo of emotion, the nostalgia, the hard work, the sweat and tears. It's just over whelming.
I actually teared up a bit. I marched in high school all 4 years and had my dream taken from me to further pursue it after high school was over. Any video game fan would enjoy this but when you put these two together.. man i teared up for sure. Love this so much.
The nostalgia and great memories from watching this were so strong I actually teared up. That was basically my whole childhood, and what a magical time it was
A lot of people don't understand how much work and energy is put into this. I'm part of my schools marching band and we do the same exact exercises as the football teams.
I admit, my eyes leaked during the Zelda part. I am a Zelda fan, horse crazy, and band geek alumni. In my early 40's, and band still makes me emotional. Once a band geek, always a band geek. Beautiful performance!
Thoroughly enjoyed the Michigan flag going down the pole and OSU flying from the castle~!! Also my jaw totally dropped when Epona started running!!! Amazing guys! Keep it up!
Oh. My. Gawd. From a gamer's perspective that was totally awesome... From a marching perspective that was totally Kick A**! That was the BEST marching I have EVER seen!
The best marching you have EVER seen? A quick search of "Drum Corps International" will fix that. But this IS the best college half time show I have ever seen.
This band is fantastic. One of the cooler shows I've seen in a long time. I'm nearly a Troy grad and marched in the Sound of the South for 4 years, but this was pretty legit. Both bands are phenomenal, just in completely different ways. And there are plenty of other really great bands out there as well. We need to quit the hating, and realize that everyone just has a different style.
I really didn't want to like this because it was OSU, but day-umm! Credit where it's due! That was phenomenal. I won't get into the "those lines aren't straight" critique because I'm not that pretentious. The content and skill is just freaking amazing. Makes me miss marching band a lot, though we never did anything that fabulous. This is going to hurt me a lot, but... well done, OSU MB. Well done!
I feel bad for everyone who watched this upside down...
Lol
LMAO!!! right!!! id jump on that field and run across to the other side -_- no way im watching that upside down..... GEEEEEEEEEEEEEK MOMENT!
It's bc they're the away team lol their like screw u losers
if thats the case, I wouldn't care if even my kid was the away team, I'd be like "Sorry hun, your parents are defecting to the enemy lines, we'll try getting footage for you though!" lol
Always the biggest problem with marching bands on football fields, everyone's instruments are pointing away from half the crowd and shows generally have to be designed for one side of the stadium anyways.
OMG I am so jealous of the guy who dots the o in halo
The zelda one gave me the biggest fan attack in my life
Same here, bro. Same here...
Yep!
That galloping horse + the Zelda theme .. absolutely wow
Patrick R the horse's name is epona and the song is gerudo valley
I actually cried when that happened
That must be a bitch and a half to do
I'm a grown man....
and I teared up at the Zelda part. Please don't think less of me.
+Ryu Hayabusa you are never less of a man, or an adult, for caring about something.
don't worry, dude. I cried at the Legend of Zelda part, too.
That honestly makes me think more of you.
Me too, at the gerudo valley part
Same.
0:00 Space Invaders
0:42 Pokemon
1:39 Tetris
2:02 Super Mario
3:31 Halo
6:05 The Legend of Zelda
9:54: Oh goddamnit. I saw this and was actually expecting it before the video got to the end and I realized.
I see what you did there.
Laura hi go
@@VonSnootingham you realized it was a lie.
You’re doing God’s work
OMG THEY DID EPONA SO WELL!
I *LOVE* that horse!
supaleegamingX same, when I played oot, I never would make epona go faster because I felt bad hitting her
This is one of those fundamental human accomplishments
The Super Mario World credits at 8:39 brought tears to my eyes. I don't know why. God damnit this was beautiful.
love how they brought down the Michigan flag like bowser's... that was funny
Ohio state will at any and all opportunities, dunk on ichigan
I love how everyone got hyped for Pokemon 😂😂
AGGirl03 ikr
FIJI nah. I got hyped for Zelda.😂😂😂
I teared up a lot on the Zelda part... My childhood, I cried
Same even though i wasnt born throughout the zelda era, i grew up with it making me go into Band/music. I feel you.
Same this whole video gave me feels to be honest... ohh to be 6 years old again
In some parts the audience is louder than the band ;-;
Jakustavius the crowd need to shut up when the band plays
At 8:00 I was like whats Michigan's emblem doing there, than i realized what was happening and started dying of laughter.
Especially since you can hear people start booing in the background XD
safe to say, nobody payed any more attention to the actual football game
ok fellow band nerds, group cry hugging.
I got you
+Marshall Rich
Same
Angel Falon yay other band nerds
Let me tell you I had a bandgasm during the epona part
Bandgasm at halo
I cried at the Legends of Zelda part. Amazing
When the Tetris theme started my heart skipped a beat

How long did it take them to master this?
I don't even want to know how long it took them to master Epona
Shiny Manectric Studios all of the.
When I heard "Different quests against the forces of evil" I knew this was the best show ever
My boyfriend wants to go to OSU and was saying they had a great marching band, but it only just now registered that this band is OSU's for me. I've been watching these shows for years now! Easily my favorite college-style marching group (Drum Corps is a different beast entirely).

The halo theme was the best in my opinion. Underrated, but no video game music is more legendary than Martin O'Donnell's.
Mortal kombat theme disagrees
Nelson Lee oh fuck you! you little dip shit
@@EricNguyenLe Wow, aggressive
@@noobus1423 it may disagree but it's ultimately wrong, halo music beats the shit out of that dumb music
i love it how they emulated the "pew pew" alarm sound with the brass players, when they morphed everything to the pokemon theme!
Almost a year later and the part with Epona still gives me goosebumps.
Like dis if u cry evrytime. But seriously, I get so emotionally reminiscent of both marching band and video games :')
why would we cry it is happy!?!?!?!?!?!
+Megan Carpenter (PortalCat) read the rest of the comment lol
I almost get teary every time I watch this. I'm glad I'm not the only one.
WHY THOUGH?! I get teary too and idk why!
5 years later and yeah, I cry every time. My husband is like "why you cry???" and I just can't explain it. It's the crescendo of emotion, the nostalgia, the hard work, the sweat and tears. It's just over whelming.

"Is mayonaise an instrument?"
No Tyler, Mayonaise is not an instrument. Horseradish is not an instrument either.
Horseradish is an instrument of torture
They just did a Spongebob halftime show yesterday.
I love everything about it, as a band kid and as a gamer
when Finish the Fight kicked in. I had the most cheesiest grin on my face
this is why they are called the best damn band in the land
The nostalgia and great memories from watching this were so strong I actually teared up. That was basically my whole childhood, and what a magical time it was
This performance brought tears to my eyes. It all was just so beautiful and tugged fiercely at my nostalgia strings!! (And I'm a grown man of 31.)
My school, Wisconsin has a legendary band.. but this will never ever be forgotten.. Terrific job!
Yo Matt, its been a decade. Hows it been.
Saw this in person. Still gives me chills when I watch it.
This is so awesome...the practice it takes to do this is wild. Timing. Posistion. Every step. Incredible
im halfway through the video, and you just eased so much anticipation. thank you, i was getting worried there for a sec!
I always tear up at the HALO part. I've never played any of the game on a regular basis, but it's just go good!
A lot of people don't understand how much work and energy is put into this. I'm part of my schools marching band and we do the same exact exercises as the football teams.
Why do the universities not demand that their halftime shows be broadcasted, instead of other team updates?
Tammy Blanton because ig its a part of the fact that you pay for the game, making you want to actually show up
This is the show that made me want to join this marching band
I admit, my eyes leaked during the Zelda part. I am a Zelda fan, horse crazy, and band geek alumni. In my early 40's, and band still makes me emotional. Once a band geek, always a band geek. Beautiful performance!
The best.良い、最高。あー、もの凄く楽しそう。
The galloping horse plus Zelda Two's Palace Theme was amazing
This is easily the coolest video I have ever watched on TH-cam.
This excites me so much I was crying and giving a standing ovation from my living room by the end.
How did I only discover this video now, it's Fkn Awesome and creative . Well done to whoever thought this up.
8:32 my eyes started to tear up...
9:10 the moment I broke. I couldn't fight the tears any longer.
This is beautiful.
The totality of words cant express the sheer awesomeness of this.
Please find and create new words/neologisms and share them with Everyone.
Kudos from Wisconsin! Very creative and well done!!
Thoroughly enjoyed the Michigan flag going down the pole and OSU flying from the castle~!! Also my jaw totally dropped when Epona started running!!! Amazing guys! Keep it up!
*Legend of Zelda*
YEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!
This performance was executed perfectly. I loved every second of it. Well done, well done indeed.
Best halftime show I've ever seen! Thanks
This should have like 5 million more views, its freaking awesome!!
the horse is amaizing...
This is the most awesome marching band ever!!!! The horse galloping was my favorite part!! 🐎🐎👍👍👍👍👍
The fact that you're a fellow Sousa makes me happy c:
日本人としては本当嬉しい♪

This is the most amazing marching band performance I have seen so far.
Awesome work from TBDBITL!
A fantastic accomplishment - they made marching band cool!
A michigan fan from heart says that is the best thing I've ever seen
MIND BLOWN!!! The real stars of the game!
We'd have this level of entertainment for the Grand Final of our National Game or even in the Olympics but you guys do this for 'local' games!! Wow.
I really didn't want to like this because it was OSU, but day-umm! Credit where it's due! That was phenomenal. very cool

WONDERFULLY INTERTAINING
This brought back sooo many memories!
One of the most freaking amazing things ever
All I can think of and feel is the hours of practice and training for this event by the marching band....

I never thought I’d get goosebumps from hearing the Tetris music, but here we are. 😄

Amazing.. I don't even watch college football but this is outstanding
Fabulous!
My love for video games and music brought me here!
This should have way more views! It's not for Oklahoma fans, it's for video game fans!
I'm a Die Hard U of M fan. Doesn't mean I don't appreciate hard work. These kids do an amazing Job.
Wow, simply the best.
