Outstanding interview. Likely the best TR interview I have ever heard. That says a lot because I've been a fan since 1973. Great questions; you allowed TR to answer without interrupting; you made the interview about him and not you; and [thank friggin goodness] you didn't ask him to retell his life story yet again. Well done ! Thank you so much for this.

Totally agree - well researched and informed questions, giving TR ample room to answer expansively. I'm totally blown away at the depth of knowledge - and open curiosity - Todd Rundgren brings to his music and producing.

I’m a little curious about the thought process that led Todd to incorporate the cool tape flanging effect into the GFR guitar solo in The Locomotion, and what everyone thought the first time they heard it back in the studio.

Ive enjoyed these Sweetwater interviews. Excellent Interviewing skills and I always appreciate how the Host stays out of the way unlike the majority of talking heads in Media these days. Enjoyed this Todd Rundgren interview. Had heard he was a on the arrogant pompous side from artists who have worked with him but he seemed like a personable enough bloke in this piece. He was spot on about letting the subconscious do the heavy lifting in the creative process. Guess Ill get back to my Chord Melody arrangement of Hello Its Me now . LOL . Aloha and Mahalo!

What a brilliant guy! The thing that he said about doing things intuitively really resonated with me. He made me realize that the best things are usually things that come from intuition as opposed to cognitive thought. I would even go so far as to say that more often than not I ruin things sometimes by over-thinking them. Thanks Todd! :-)

I remember listening to a buddy's reel to reel tape he made of when he and some friends were jamming with Todd Rundgren. I remember he was improvising a song. Something about this girl falling out of a car and getting bit by a snake? 😁😁😁

I'll bet the current "rut" Todd is referring to, is the rap/hip hop GARBAGE......"rappers" cannot play an instrument, cannot sing, and when they try to attempt what they consider singing, they can't sing a single note on pitch without the auto tune garbage. Whoever invented auto tune should be locked up in jail. They are NOT musicians. They are helpless without a beatbox and auto tune. I've seen TR perform twice, He is amazing. Been a fan of his since high school, a LONG time ago. Thank You Todd for all the great music you've given us!

@@famednacclaimed5336 Rundgren's Boomer politics aside, Marxists(like the under age 40 ones we see today), have *never* been on the right side of history. 100 million dead bodies(possibly more but China will never release how many died in Mao's Cultural Revolutions) since the 1919 Bolsheviks, is a mark of infamy that will never be lived down by the Left. Which is exactly why it needs to be stopped in its tracks in the West.
