Thank you for saving these beautiful chimpanzees. Seeing their social responses, encouragements and hugs really drives home the fact they were aware they were being harmed and hurt and that isn’t ok. Thankfully you’ve saved them and they can live happily and without pain in their forever homes.

Thank you for going above and beyond for these beautiful animals. Such an important moment but I was disappointed with the angle of camera ! Could not see them coming out and their reactions and what they were looking at! But there are other videos which show their amazement of first being in the open so all good. Overall, lots of great footage and exploring . Thank you for your hard work! Hello, I absolutely love what you all are doing for these beautiful primates. I have a question please. What do you do for the chimps in inclimate weather? Or tornadoes since Georgia has a lot of tornadoes? Thank you and I will be contributing as much as I can to help more chimps to realize freedom.
I’m so pissed at humanity that they have squandered the best years of these chimps live, but thank God you guys are finally giving them the joy they deserve ! Great job,God is smiling on all of you…..🙏❤❤❤❤
That looks like a really well-thought-out facility. Did you guys think about using sufficiently tall Plexiglas barriers rather than electrified wire-topped chain-link? Seeing as I'm sure then can climb chain-link no problem. Hmm, probably too expensive, eh? And I suppose they won't touch that wire more than once. :-) Lots of questions. But I'll watch all your videos first.
To: Schwenksvillemom - Ha, ha! As the reply from Project Chimps states, they have become somewhat accustomed to the 'luxuries' provided, such as food or shelter from excessive elements. However, unless for a perceived greater benefit, why close the doors. Personally, it would be a wonder to behold to see one go out at night, climb a tree, build a nest and sleep safely in the knowledge of it's true identity. As the saying goes, "Caesar is home".
I apologize on behalf of humanity for the barbaric treatment of these lovely sentient beings before. The pharmaceutical industry has made billions off them, so they could afford to retire them humanely, BUT just abandoned them. So happy, people with heart and ethics give them a good life now. So deserving. Blessings to all the chimps, may they have peace and haPPINeSS after years of a torturous existence.
You do wonderful work. Please help me understand - isn't this already a stressful new experience for the chimps? Do all those people and the additional noise and commotion make it harder for the chimps? Would it be easier for them to just have caregivers they know and trust? I mean no disrespect. You are the experts. But those questions arose for me.
Great questions, Trish. The transition can be stressful for the chimps, but they adjust to their new care team very well. Some former research chimps are more human-oriented than others, depending upon their histories.
I wonder if you have any blueberry bushes planted that would be a great food for them the voyage on their own for, also, we need fruit trees that might grow in your area apples oranges pairs, stuff like that, and maybe even some pecan trees since they like nuts
Im heartbroken. Because my country is allowing tests to be performed on chimpanzees and probably orangutans. I understand that we are close to our brethren and they look up to us for safety. I cannot accept medical tests on Monkeys period.
Apparently you dont know what this is about. These are chimps that were used for research. They lived in very small cages, they have never been on the outside. This is heaven for them after years being in small cages and used for experiments.

Yes, chimps can and have killed, but I think you're describing the chimps' closest relatives, humans. And chimps do have individual personalities; we have decades of research by dedicated field scientists like Jane Goodall to confirm this. These chimps, in particular, have had no social contact other than human researchers and breeders prior to coming here, so they have picked up behavioral traits that are more human than chimp.
