Just watched chimp crazy and I about cried when I saw him in the sanctuary. So much healthier and happier. No animal belongs in a basement like that. Even my little 4lb chihuahua gets to go outside every day and get sunlight, fresh air, exercise, sniffins. They’re animals, they need that.
Some people might think why bother going to so much trouble and spending so much money on an animal. It's called "having a soul". There are so many greedy heartless people in the world, it's wonderful and heartwarming to see there are still some decent people left in the world that care enough to help an innocent, abused animal in need.
Did that lady is the one you're talking about when you say heartless people she stole that chimp from its sanctuary that was rated by Peta to go to a better sanctuary
It's disgusting what people do to these chimpanzees . Is just horrible he could have been Living in the sanctuary much longer instead of instead of just finding it now selfish people
I’ve been watching the “Chimp Crazy” documentary and thought she sure was bold to show him on camera in her basement! She’s not a very good hider! 😹 I’m glad that he’s in a better place but it is very sad that he is gone from his favorite person. Tonka is a very unique special chimp.
I am watching the chimp crazy documentary right now and I seriously wanted to believe that the lady was looking out for Tonkas, best interest, but I don't believe that anymore. She would have rather him be euthanized then turn him over showed her selfish ways. She said Tonka had a stroke and it wouldn't be good for him to be with other Chimps, I believed her. But she lied!!! I follow the chimp rescue where tonka is and he is so happy. He can go outside whenever he wa to, and back in whenever he wants, it's open doors for him and his other chimp friends. He is getting to be a real chimp. I am so happy to see that, so I have donated to them.
Just watched chimp crazy and they lied and said he couldn't climb and here he is climbing just fine. So maybe it was right to take them. Well clearly it was right the habitat in Florida looked amazing and way more habitat for a chimp(s).
He's elderly and in failing health, with heart problems, and can't survive around other chimps. I don't expect he'll be surviving too much longer in the sanctuary, especially without the family he's known for decades.
@@jimnasium7700Tonka is not elderly he was 38 at the time of the docuseries, and they live as long as humans. Also it was never confirmed that he had a heart condition.
Huge W for Tonka. He should have been taken to Florida with all the others siezed. She selfishly took him and claimed that he wouldn't be able to survive sedation to Florida to deprive him of a life free of her.
Chimps are the closest relatives of humans. Both apes have the same sentience & similar intelligence, as was proven decades ago. This is the great fact of biology & evolution. The human ape has more of a negative impact than they. Chimps maintain their habitat and humans destroy theirs. I recall the UN report about an ongoing mass extinction being caused by human activity & climate change. If correct, we deserve worse than inflation, perhaps we need Thanos.
Finally, something that makes sense. I'm sorry for his plight, but at this point they are basically paying for someone to get their face ripped off or their baby eaten. When he eventually does that then sits there with that stupid look on his face...you were warned
This chimp crazy documentary that's out now is wild...

Being imprisoned, in isolation, in a basement is surely cruelty to any living being!
So she would rather unalive him than let him be free? What a horrible woman.

Why so many have these monkeys and they are exploiting them
So like did he have a stroke for real, Or was that made up by haddax to?
Free tonka
Why is this woman not in jail she lied over and over she treated this ape horribly feeding him soda candy chips Mac Donalds what a horrible person!
Chimp crazy is now up on hbo max its the movie they made about this chimp and woman
Inflation is high, people are hungry, and all this money spent on an animal that would not make a ripple in society if it was not on the earth.
