I wish customers understood this. Power numbers are somewhat irrelevant. Overall treatment of the car will break just as easy on a stock turbo as it would a turbo kit
Anyone got any advice/opinions on putting a fp green/blue on a ej255 with 240k. Currently on a vf-39, has good compression, and passed a leak down test.
I mean nothing lasts forever so don’t expect another 240k but honestly with a good tune and good maintenance with a reasonable level of boost should be completely fine as its holding compression and your rings are intact
I want you to STI swap my 2000 Impreza outback wagon! What would it cost in 2023 $ for a 500hp full STI swap from engine to hubs? I have a set of large lug pattern newer WRX wheels but that’s all I have so far..
Because that’s not being transparent, it would of lived at the 33PSI / 740whp for a while. It was making well over 800whp @ 40psi in realm of 820-840whp. I have a STGX BBR longblock going into it, so moon tune the stock and have fun. Show results and on to built engine.

As long as you know you're putting that turbo on with the intent of replacing the motor soon then go for it!
Fp blue is a good choice. Fp green comes on boost hard for 240k block.
