The new seat looks awesome! And the tanks, I'm blown away with the paintwork, they're stunning. The skill some craftsmen have is unbelievable. And done for a great cause!
You guys really nailed the look of this seat! I didn't know I needed this until one of your customer service guys mentioned it's existence. I couldn't be more excited and I've been getting a lot of compliments on it.
I also wanted to mention, I have the saddle bag guards and Saddlemen did provide Some space for that but it doesn't fit as perfect as it would without the saddle bag guards.
I was reading that their seats did have an issue with fitment over the bag guards that they've since resolved, but it looks like even with their solution it still causes a little bit of material puckering right where the seat meets the crash bar. I'd imagine it's not a major pucker but not quite as lined out as it was on the previous generation. I'd be interested to know if you have the puckering issue that I think I've seen in photos.
Yes, it does pucker. Unfortunately they did not make the relief far enough back on the seat. It should be around 3/8" farther back. I have the seat as tight against the end of the relief as possible and I can't quite get it up close to the tank like it should be. It works but definitely needs more relief space.
That's good to know, perhaps it'll get better in time. Growing pains with any new bike or new generation can be frustrating. When I get my guards, I'll fiddle around some and see if I can figure out a solution. Probably not but I'm gonna try anyway, lol
I have started and stopped this video like 4 times but I glad I finished it at the end of the day with no distractions. It makes me think I want a Jamison and ginger ale. Let’s go Buffalo!!!
I literally just got my new regular style road sofa this week and tried it out with the Wife for 4 hours and already very comfortable and can barely feel the bumps in the road anymore! WAY better than the stock seat and quite possibly the best motorcycle seat I have ever owned! 😃 But WOW, That tuck and roll looks like it may be even more comfortable!? We did go with the heated seat and we both say it gets too hot even on the low setting, unfortunately. I just have to mention the way Harley's seat is held in is not the best design. Having a bracket to hold the back of the seat and screw or screws in the front of the seat would be 100% more secure.
My wife and I loved that last Roadsofa but it's too soon to tell if this one will be more or less comfortable. I have a feeling that it'll be close to the same once it's broken in but the one I had before require no break-in time and was just as comfortable at 10k miles as it was out of the box. From a security point of view I completely agree with you, but from a convenience standpoint I do prefer the thumb screw in the back personally.
Cool video, I ride a 22' BMW R18 Bagger, and I'm thinking of trading for a 24' Street Glide. I did went to see the Whiskey, but I think it looks awesome, but I think I would go with Blue, Sharkskin, or simply Black/Black. ^_^
Oh ya, I hate the fact that there's no Android Auto on these. I kinda want to try one of those adapters off Amazon to make it work, but it seems like every time there's OS update on the bike the adapters stop working.
@@Buffalo509 HD more than likely is updating OS on purpose so those amazon adapters stop working. I believe its about $300 so u may have access to the HD system?!?
I can relate to the vertically challenged part more than I'd like to admit, lol. I do feel like the new seat sits me just a bit higher than the stock seat but because of how Saddlemen narrows the sides and the nose, I did end up with more foot on the ground over stock. I hope that makes sense and helps.

Thanks! I wish I had some discernible level of creativity, but since I don't at least I can support those who do, lol
Im ordering that seat in extended reach.
The red you chose. Theres 2 reds on saddlemans site
Is it just straight red. Or is it the wine berry red.
Thx
Mine is just the straight red
Im in canada so i want to make sure the color is the one i like. Otherwise ill pay shipping twice. To exchsnge.
Thank you.

Seat looks perfect on the bike, we appreciate your review.

That tuck and roll looks clean
I really dig the look of the tuck and roll with the carbon too, very clean indeed

Shame it took you 4 tries but you can never go wrong with Jameson & Ginger, lol. Here's to hoping your team does better than mine 🍺
Beautiful street glide setup, what size is that windshield and what make is it?
Thanks
That would be an 8” dark smoke windshield from Klock Werks
Thank you brother ride safe 🤙

That blue is stunning and you can never go wrong with black. What spurred you to contemplate switching to a Harley from your BMW?
@@Buffalo509 Being part of the HD family, and the new Street Glide is quite incredible, only thing is that its not compatible with Android.

I don't think I do but come spring I'll likely opt for the GPS access since that's really all I want out of Android Auto
Time for a matching T-pack 👀
Check back at the previous video 😉
I got to get me one of them
After putting some miles on it, I highly recommend. Plus it took about 2 or 2.5 weeks to come in as an added bonus!
Does the new seat lower the overall height compared to the stock seat? I have a new Street Glide and I'm a bit vertically challenged. 🤣

@@Buffalo509 Makes sense to me. Good to know about the seat. I’m sure that’s going to be an upgrade to my 2024.
It's definitely been an upgrade for me. What color did you go with?
@@Buffalo509 I went with Atlas Silver Metallic with the blackout option.
I do really like that silver they did. Harley did a great job giving that paint some depth and it looks great out in the sun.
What ! There’s no space under the back for your gloves.😢
Very true, I'm still working out where there gonna go now, lol
