- In this video, I give you my perspective on the Harley Saddlemen Tour Step Up Review after having ridden on the seat for somewhere between 5,000 and 10,000 miles. The Saddlemen Tour Step Up Seat is designed to fit the FLH Harley Davidson motorcycles for years 2008 - 2023 with the exception of the new CVO style bikes. I had the step up on my road glide. It’s a good seat for about 75-100 miles. After that, you’re hurting. Mine was the standard step up, not the touring model. I went back to Corbin, just personal preference, not a knock on Saddlemen.

I just installed a saddleman step up on my street glide First off I was sent the wrong seat and ended up with the extended set up seat. I installed it and actually found that the seat put me in a more comfortable position allowing me to be a little more stretched out. I had no issues with my forward controls. I adjusted my pegs on my highway bars a little and pulled the handle bars back 1/2” super comfortable riding position. I’m 5’10” with a 31” inseam. Love the locked in feeling and narrower front part of the seat over stock.

Just did a 200 mile day, the seat was a little stiff but by the end of the run started feeling really good. The seat is breaking in nicely hope it keeps going this way.
I wasn’t sore or fatigued riding and I like the slightly higher seating position my legs were more relaxed verse the stock seat

Well i finally pulled the trigger on the stage II, now im thinking a nice SOLO seat for my 21' FLHXS. Ill be investigating saddleman 👍👍

Thanks for watching and commenting. Did you order it direct from Saddlemen? If so, you should be getting order status updates direct from Saddlemen. If you ordered from another seller, you unfortunately are at the mercy of that seller. If you ordered from Saddlemen, I'd suggest giving them a call. They typically quote a 4 to 6 week lead time as every seat ordered from them is made to the specific order. If you are already a subscriber to the channel...thank you. The third party is reputable but they have told me “it could be 6-8 months.” I was also under the impression it was 4-6 weeks.
@JOHN51977 That seems odd. All my seats direct from Saddlemen have been quoted 4 to 6 weeks and they typically arrive in under 4 weeks. Maybe call Saddlemen and see what lead time they quote. If it's 4 to 6 weeks, then cancel the order if you can from the other seller.
You should do a comparison vid. with LePera seats.

What’s the best most comfortable saddle men seat for a short inseam. 24 Road Glide
Thanks for the question. At the moment I believe Saddlemen only has the Step Up and Road Sofa available for the 2024 Road and Street Glides. I would say the Step Up would be better than the Road Sofa for shorter inseam. However, I would suggest calling Saddlemen to discuss what you are looking for and what they may be developing for the 2024 models. I'm sure they have several seats in development. 👊✌️👍
Could be a dumb question but what’s the difference between the tour and the regular step up? Is it just the gel core in the passenger section or is there other differences? Thank you

I think having the backrest attachment is the biggest difference. Debating on which one I want. I ride a lot but have a bad back.

I’m looking for a seat that gets my thighs closer to the bike, I’m 5’9” and my feet never really get flat on the ground. What’s my best option?
Thanks Mikey for watching and commenting. All of the Saddlemen seats are much narrower to the frame and as it comes up onto the tank than the stock seats. The seat featured in this video is a great looking seat and it still is comfortable for the long haul rides. I think you have checked out my other saddlemen seat videos. My suggestion would be to not go the Road Sofa route as it will sit you up a bit higher making touching the ground a bit more challenging. But really any of the other seats I run sit at a great point to get your feet comfortably on the ground. I'd suggest going to a dealer that sells Saddlemen seats and demo a few on your bike to see which model works best for you and your style of riding. Thanks for your support and ride safe. 👊✌️👍

They do have a reach version as well in the Tour Step Up. ✌️👊👍

@CodyMcDonald89 I would suggest calling saddlemen. They will get you hooked up with the reach version tuck and roll.
How does this seat compare to stock CVO seat?
Thanks for watching and commenting. I have the stock CVO seat from my 2021 Street Glide CVO...I took it off when I got it home from the dealership and out the Tour Step up on it. The stock CVO seat is terrible in my opinion. This seat is one of my favorite Saddlemen seats and it's super comfortable. If you are already a subscriber to the channel...thank you.
