Here we'll discuss motorcycles, accessories, and installs while we take the mystery out of wrenching on our own bikes. I'm no mechanic, by any stretch, but I firmly believe in learning to do things for yourself and saving a buck if possible. That being said, I'm not afraid to admit when I'm in over my head, normally after I break something, and need to reach out. So lets hang out, have some drinks, and share some laughs (mostly at my own expense)!

Hey I just ordered my spc lane splitter also. I currently have the tabs with zombie baffles also. Do you think it got louder than the tabs or no?
Oh it definitely got louder. I loved my Tabs but these are a night and day difference, and in my opinion...better, lol
@ awesome, that’s what I was hoping you would say to. Thank you so much.
Who put the spoiler on this bike and do they bring anything other then the look to the bike
My buddy who owns the bike did the install. And as far as I know, it's just an appearance thing.
I think they look pretty cool and hopefully be functional in deflecting engine heat away from your legs, and erm, other lower body parts! Having a 96B engine in my FXSTC it's a problem I know only too well lol!
I enjoy the look but I'm really curious to know about the functionality. Guess I'll find out whenever this crummy winter weather goes away. I don't think I've had that heat problem on my Springer though. Now I'm gonna have to pay closer attention...thanks a lot, lol
Just my opinion but doesn’t suit the bike
I think the shape doesn't match as well as it could with these new bikes. But I do like that it closes up that empty space behind the rear cylinder. I'm also holding out hope that advanblack will do a redesign for the 23 and up bikes. If they do, I know I'll be buying them again, lol
Looks good, have a road glide same color going to put them on mine to
Thanks! I'd be interested to know if you have just as easy of an install as I did
The shape of those doesn’t match the body lines. Not a fan of them.
They're not a perfect match for the body lines, no. But they're close enough for me. Maybe advanblack will redesign them in the future, in which case I'm sure I'll have to buy them again, lol
I bought these lights with a very bad experience all around. They send over current to my BCM activating the red check engine light. Customer service told me to have Harley reflash the bike to accept the new voltage. Took bike to Harley and Harley never heard of a reflash for LED headlights on a 2023 model that I have. I spent $175 for nothing. On the way home, one headlight went out completely and the other light was at half power. Soon as I pull in my neighborhood the other light went out completely! I contacted hogworks customer service for the 6th time pertaining to the issue with no solution. I’ve lost money with hogworks!…I’ll never again buy from them again how they treated the situation! Hopefully you don’t have any issue for years to come.
That's a really bizarre and crappy situation. I kinda assumed that their customer service would have been, at least, up to par. I'll definitely pass along your story to my buddy who has these lights so he can keep an eye out. Thank you for sharing and I hope you were able to figure out a better lighting solution that doesn't throw a check engine light
I’m kinda on the edge staying stock now from that experience with hogworks. I was also worried about the opening around the headlights for water intrusion on the electronics. I have the Custom dynamics “shark demons” in the cart but haven’t committed to purchased just yet. The shark demons has a better seal around the lights I noticed on bikes I’ve seen them on. Knees in the breeze, take it easy.
Keep me in the loop with the shark demon. I'm considering one of those for my Street Glide. Ride safe 🤙
Is that a extened reach step up?
Nah, it just the standard reach seat. My legs are way too short for extended reach, lol
I just ordered the extened reach one for my 2024 roadglide. I just got thunder max tune done too. That and full exhaust running pretty good and the throttle is way more snappy.@Buffalo509
all ya had to do was bend the front seat tang some and it would have worked. Should you have to do that? No way, Saddlemen should know about this and address it.
I hadn't considered the tang to be the issue. But I completely agree with you, it shouldn't be an issue for a company as big as saddlemen. But I'll admit that they did go out of their way to try and make the problem better. It's not perfect but still better than it was and lightyears better than stock, lol
I really don't understand why people find the need to use power tools on everything. Putting an air cleaner on like this should've been done with hand tools and a torque wrench. Very easy to strip threads with power tools, especially on small bolts or screws.
In retrospect, I really didn’t need to use any power tools. I was likely just in a hurry or being lazy. I typically don’t like using them for the exact reason you mentioned.
Always good to have options!
Can never have too many options, lol. Thank you again for this amazing opportunity! I'm beyond appreciative to have been able to collaborate with you on this install and review. You guys are AMAZING!!!
@@Buffalo509 We're stoked to make peoples rides even better- we appreciate you.
There ain't nothing worse than a brain itch😅
Definitely a difficult itch to scratch, lol
Does the step up put you closer to the bars vs the road sofa? Btw after watching your Tuck and roll road sofa video I bought the exact same seat with the same colour combo. Too cold in Canada to ride with it yet.
Good question, the step up did in fact put me just a little closer to the bars. Not much but just enough to notice. I'm in the same boat down here in Washington with the weather. Summer can't get here fast enough, lol
Good looking seat! 🙌🏽 with that red stitching too matching the bike.
Thanks! It's all starting to come together
Man, that bike's looking good! Wishing you and yours a happy and prosperous New Year.
Thanks! I'm grooving the progress as well. And I hope your new year is full of fun and adventure
How’s leg clearance with this intake? I like to ride aggressive and I like my knees against the tank.
It does get in the way of me trying to put my right knee against the tank unfortunately. I had to go check real quick, lol
@ ok thanks for the quick reply I love the look of the tear drop but it will not accommodate my riding style I’ll stick with a round cleaner assembly
I like not so much
And that's ok. We all have our own styles and preferences. I respect that it's not quite your flavor though
I'm really digging the look and sound of the new exhaust! Big thumbs up from me!
Same here and thanks! I just wish the sound came through better cuz this pipe sounds meaner in person, lol
Looks good and sounds good! Thank you for this video! I’ve always wondered how a stainless steel pipe would look surrounded by chrome 😅 now I’m thinking twice on what pipes to get. Right now I have Khrome Werks slip ons and planning on changing them to 2-1.
I had the same reservation but I'm very happy with how it turned out. There are more stainless parts to come so that'll help tie everything together
9:00 sounds good
1:18 looks cool
Thanks! I'm super pumped to get it out on a ride and see how it sounds under load. But it sounds mean in the garage, lol
We should put the tabs on mine.
They'd fit, but I don't think you'd want to quiet down your bike, lol
@Buffalo509 i don't think it would quiet down that much
I wanna see what they sound like on my setup
I'm sure we could get something on schedule and give it a whirl
My KW came with direction sheet stuck in several places to the packing tape and were destroyed trying to remove it. So, your video came in super handy!
I'm glad I could help. Those directions on these new bikes are definitely a must so that sucks yours got chewed up because someone wasn't paying attention during shipping. Which KW did you go with?
One of the first things I got rid of on my bike was the chrome tank dash too! Great video!
Thanks! Did you go carbon, black, or something else?
@Buffalo509 I went with black. But will be switching that and some other parts out with carbon in the near future. But at the same time keeping some chrome on the bike. Kinda wanna keep the black and chrome combination. The only chrome that came off my bike were the tank dash and bars. Didn’t want all that shining in my face 😅
Oh I get that. I've got some very similar plans for mine as well. I'll be doing my bars here very shortly and will be ditching the chrome there as well. I still want chrome but don't wanna go quite as chromosexual with this bike as I did with the last one, lol
@ 😂😂 chromosexual. I’ll be looking out for that video! Subscribed!
@@Buffalo509 😂😂 chromosexual. I’ll be looking out for that video. Subscribed!
Im ordering that seat in extended reach. The red you chose. Theres 2 reds on saddlemans site Is it just straight red. Or is it the wine berry red. Thx
Mine is just the straight red
Im in canada so i want to make sure the color is the one i like. Otherwise ill pay shipping twice. To exchsnge. Thank you. @Buffalo509
Cool tank dash that really changes the look of the bike. Being different is what it's all about for me! Individuality rocks!
I concur! Definitely don't want to look like every other bike out there, especially now that I don't have just another "black Street Glide", lol
Looks really good. I have ton of forged carbon parts on mine and I love them all.
I really like the forged. I dare say, I prefer it over woven carbon. What all carbon parts do you have? I'd love to see how your bike looks...for inspirational purposes of course, lol
I actually prefer the Chrome, but nice video on how easy that is. Your Bike is SO Clean ! Even under the seat😯 😎
The chrome does look good. After having the Advanblack dash for as long as I did on my last bike, I got so used to it that I ended up missing it on this one. I am a little particular about keeping my bikes clean, but it helps that this bike only has 500 miles on it so far when it comes to the dirt, lol
Beautiful Bike matey 😊👍 Im fairly new with motorcycles & im not experienced enough to know any better BUT i absolutely love your bike & apart from changing Windshield & more comfortable seat i wouldn't change a thing hey ! Im not experienced like your are & i see many many people do so many upgrades to Harley Davison Bikes compared to Indian bikes 🤔🤔 I'm starting to think Harley Davison build their bikes like they do on purpose to invite people to buy parts from them to upgrade to a higher standard 🤔 I know there is Government Regulations & stuff but Indian & Honda don't seem to have any problems around them , What do you think ??? Steve from Bundaberg Australia 🇦🇺🍹🕺
I think you're right with how Harley designs their bikes. And they've taken cues from the people and incorporated those ideas into their product from factory. As far as regulation goes, I'm fairly outside the loop on that. Especially since it seems like every state can set their own rules on emissions and noise. I know there's far worse places when it comes to regulations though...and far better, lol
Cool video, I ride a 22' BMW R18 Bagger, and I'm thinking of trading for a 24' Street Glide. I did went to see the Whiskey, but I think it looks awesome, but I think I would go with Blue, Sharkskin, or simply Black/Black. ^_^
That blue is stunning and you can never go wrong with black. What spurred you to contemplate switching to a Harley from your BMW?
@@Buffalo509 Being part of the HD family, and the new Street Glide is quite incredible, only thing is that its not compatible with Android.
Oh ya, I hate the fact that there's no Android Auto on these. I kinda want to try one of those adapters off Amazon to make it work, but it seems like every time there's OS update on the bike the adapters stop working.
@@Buffalo509 HD more than likely is updating OS on purpose so those amazon adapters stop working. I believe its about $300 so u may have access to the HD system?!?
I don't think I do but come spring I'll likely opt for the GPS access since that's really all I want out of Android Auto
The New Lights are very bright did a couple of rides at night since installing them (usually don't ride at night ) but it's nice to know if I'm out after dark these are going to light the way very nicely!!
More brighter = more better. Hopefully we got them aligned right on the first try 🤞
They look real good on your bike, Thumper. That's a great addition to your machine!
Wonder how these compare to the LP6’s by Baja.
It's my understanding that the LP6s are more brighter but also much more expensive. Hogworkz seems to be a middle ground for both. I do know HW are WAY brighter than stock though
Did the gap ever work itself out? I brought this seat and I have been having this issue as well, I really want to return it
It did get a little better, but not to where I wanted it. I ended up returning it and ordering a different one that is better but still not perfect. These "older" bikes apparently are tricky when it comes to seats
Congrats on the bike! Own a black on black 24 SG myself. I’m 5’11. I just put on LA chopper Twin Peaks 10 inch. I probably could’ve went 12 but I didn’t want the switch housings for my hands higher than the fairing. How do you like the 8 inch klockwerks windshield? Could you have gone to 10? Thanks.
Thanks! I do really like that murdered out look on the Street Glides. I'm the same as you when it comes to keeping my hands behind the fairing, that's why I went with 10" on my 19 Street Glide. I'm happy with the 8" Klockwerks but probably could have gone 10" for better wind deflection, but I really prefer the look of the 8". I'm seriously considering getting another 8" but in red, just haven't fully decided yet, lol
Looks damn good. Ordered my chopped tourpak from hogworkz.
I was really torn between the chopped and the king. I prefer the look of the chopped but from a comfort standpoint for the wife, I thought she'd appreciate the higher back support. Gotta keep the wife happy, lol
@Buffalo509 100% agree king is best for comfort and storage. Wife rides her own Spyder F3-T, so it'll mostly be used for "extra crap" she aquires on trips.
@@jasonbreedlove495 It's amazing how stuff they can acquire...even on short trips, lol
Thinking back to my schooldays, yellow and amber light has different wavelengths to white light and affect how the human eye sees in dull conditions. I also read somewhere they reduce glare and fatigue. I knew that lesson would come in useful one day lol!
That sounds vaguely familiar now that you mention it. Guess I should have paid more attention to the teacher and less to the girls back then, lol
Where is the fender cover ?
That would've been the smart move but that's not exactly what I'm known for, lol. Plus it wasn't my garage and so I didn't have my "amenities" available 😉
I need to get one BTW that's my bike 😃
You and me both, lol
Beautiful street glide setup, what size is that windshield and what make is it? Thanks
That would be an 8” dark smoke windshield from Klock Werks
Thank you brother ride safe 🤙
Does the new seat lower the overall height compared to the stock seat? I have a new Street Glide and I'm a bit vertically challenged. 🤣
I can relate to the vertically challenged part more than I'd like to admit, lol. I do feel like the new seat sits me just a bit higher than the stock seat but because of how Saddlemen narrows the sides and the nose, I did end up with more foot on the ground over stock. I hope that makes sense and helps.
@@Buffalo509 Makes sense to me. Good to know about the seat. I’m sure that’s going to be an upgrade to my 2024.
It's definitely been an upgrade for me. What color did you go with?
@@Buffalo509 I went with Atlas Silver Metallic with the blackout option.
I do really like that silver they did. Harley did a great job giving that paint some depth and it looks great out in the sun.
Seat looks perfect on the bike, we appreciate your review.
You guys really nailed the look of this seat! I didn't know I needed this until one of your customer service guys mentioned it's existence. I couldn't be more excited and I've been getting a lot of compliments on it.
@@Buffalo509 Love to hear that!
@@Buffalo509I just ordered one
Hell ya! You gotta let me know whatcha think
@ will do. Have you tides with yours yet. Any initial thoughts?
The new seat looks awesome! And the tanks, I'm blown away with the paintwork, they're stunning. The skill some craftsmen have is unbelievable. And done for a great cause!
Thanks! I wish I had some discernible level of creativity, but since I don't at least I can support those who do, lol
I also wanted to mention, I have the saddle bag guards and Saddlemen did provide Some space for that but it doesn't fit as perfect as it would without the saddle bag guards.
I was reading that their seats did have an issue with fitment over the bag guards that they've since resolved, but it looks like even with their solution it still causes a little bit of material puckering right where the seat meets the crash bar. I'd imagine it's not a major pucker but not quite as lined out as it was on the previous generation. I'd be interested to know if you have the puckering issue that I think I've seen in photos.
Yes, it does pucker. Unfortunately they did not make the relief far enough back on the seat. It should be around 3/8" farther back. I have the seat as tight against the end of the relief as possible and I can't quite get it up close to the tank like it should be. It works but definitely needs more relief space.
That's good to know, perhaps it'll get better in time. Growing pains with any new bike or new generation can be frustrating. When I get my guards, I'll fiddle around some and see if I can figure out a solution. Probably not but I'm gonna try anyway, lol
I literally just got my new regular style road sofa this week and tried it out with the Wife for 4 hours and already very comfortable and can barely feel the bumps in the road anymore! WAY better than the stock seat and quite possibly the best motorcycle seat I have ever owned! 😃 But WOW, That tuck and roll looks like it may be even more comfortable!? We did go with the heated seat and we both say it gets too hot even on the low setting, unfortunately. I just have to mention the way Harley's seat is held in is not the best design. Having a bracket to hold the back of the seat and screw or screws in the front of the seat would be 100% more secure.
My wife and I loved that last Roadsofa but it's too soon to tell if this one will be more or less comfortable. I have a feeling that it'll be close to the same once it's broken in but the one I had before require no break-in time and was just as comfortable at 10k miles as it was out of the box. From a security point of view I completely agree with you, but from a convenience standpoint I do prefer the thumb screw in the back personally.
What ! There’s no space under the back for your gloves.😢
Very true, I'm still working out where there gonna go now, lol
🔥
Whiskey fire that is, lol
That tuck and roll looks clean
I really dig the look of the tuck and roll with the carbon too, very clean indeed
I got to get me one of them
After putting some miles on it, I highly recommend. Plus it took about 2 or 2.5 weeks to come in as an added bonus!
Time for a matching T-pack 👀
Check back at the previous video 😉
I have started and stopped this video like 4 times but I glad I finished it at the end of the day with no distractions. It makes me think I want a Jamison and ginger ale. Let’s go Buffalo!!!
Shame it took you 4 tries but you can never go wrong with Jameson & Ginger, lol. Here's to hoping your team does better than mine 🍺
Man who gives a shit what people think. Its your bike put what you want on it. I think its badass. I have one from boss fab also. There cool as hell.
I couldn't agree more. There's always someone who wants to talk trash but that's their problem. Boss fab puts out a great product and I appreciate that it's an all American made product and I love supporting small businesses when I can. What did you have made up for your bike?
