Thank You! I also love this truck, it's seen so much of this country with my family. Only issues I've had has been the frame not fully boxed, and no space under the back seat 🤣
🤣🤣🤣 wasn't thrilled about editing this portion, and dude didn't even care... he was totally free from all worldly textiles, it was a unique experience but for now I'll keep my clothes 😅
I was sad for you when I saw that on your insta but instead of saying it is a shame , I prefer to say it is a step to achieve your goal to do it with your family with the next truck !!!! I wish you all the best Austin ! please keep going and as usually ... I can't wait wait to see the next episode !!!!!
Thank you so much!! The rebuild process can be a daunting journey in itself, I'm excited to finally start putting the pieces back together. I'm with you, it is a step in the right direction to achieve my dreams and goals 👍
This was my first time watching this video and I can't even imagine being in that situation. I've never had my truck on an adventure like what I saw in this video. I personally would be too worried to be out there by myself so kudos to you chasing your dreams no matter what. I love your truck and I love your content. Good luck with the rebuild and whatever direction you go with it. I look forward to seeing more videos when the repairs or new-build is complete. Good luck brother.
first, thank you. second, after doing this trip it became obvious that i needed more time allotment for something of this size... even with 14 days I found myself rushing through things to get to the next stop, and i really dont like that feeling of rushing through an experience. I am in fact looking for others to join me on these crazy adventures, so if that's interesting to you keep an eye out on instagram or more less than often youtube "community tab" for when i send out the invite. Also Im planning on being at most major overland events if you wanna meet up and share stories. finally, im really excited about the rebuild... hopefully only a few more weeks before its ready to be unveiled. Take care brother, hope to see you out there some time.
Those desert and forest roads at golden hour can be a real challenge sometimes. I’ve hit many rocks, holes, divots, all kinds of stuff at that time, just cuz I couldn’t see it. Coulda happened to anyone. Can’t wait for what’s next though 😉
So true... I was only a few miles away from camp when this happened. I thought "nah, just a little more and that'll be good" plus I was trying to set myself up for an epic sunrise over Racetrack Playa 😑
So sorry for your misadventure, that really stinks. Hoping everything goes better in getting out and getting help. Hopefully you’re truck can be repaired at a body shop that can straighten and stabilize the frame. I like the tremendously hard work you’ve putting into growing your channel. Good luck, hoping for the best turnaround possible for you! Again so sorry. I’ve had to get myself out of some tough situations before myself, so looking forward to see how this turns out for you. Good luck.
Thank you so much for the compliments! I know nothing more than staying at a task until I complete it, and that's just what I've done with this Channel and that situation I got myself into, and the eventual recovery. Still as I write this, I'm dealing with getting the truck fixed... hoping I can be back on the road early 23'. Thanks for joining me on this journey Randy!
Glad you weren’t hurt… sucks about your truck… I could totally see myself do the same thing… I think you are fixing your frame… can you do anything to make it stronger than before?
Currently attempting to straighten the frame, once we get it back from the shop we'll be gusseting and reinforcing the length of the frame... similar to what the Aussies do when they chop and stretch their 79' LC's. Wouldn't be able to do this without all the help from MCM Fab in Las Vegas 🍻🍻
Man….that was a lot in just one video , went from relaxing and funny to everything hitting the fan. It’s one or the worst feeling to have when you plan things out and something like this stops it. In situations like this I try my best to look at the bright side of things to battle the negativity from holding me down. I don’t think it was your fault, I would’ve done the same too if I was driving down that road. I thought Everest wasn’t up to it at first but it was actually because you pretty much got into an accident. 👍🤙
I totally agree with you and look toward the brighter side when tragedy occurs. This was a highly difficult situation to deal with and I'm still dealing with repercussions of this incident, and yet I remain positive (mainly because I'm too dumb to know anything else). Over the last few years I've had many ppl tell me this truck couldn't do x,y, or z... but it did, and it's done everything I've asked of it with grace... even saved my life in this crash. When I saw a few of those ppl at Overland Expo after this wreck, now they say "it would have happened to any truck".
@@WolfPacOutdoors I'm Good, I just found your channel and look forward to following. Perhaps sometime when your camping in so ca, we could meet , I'm able to get out a little bit. ?.
Oh my God dude the feelings all over the fucking planet!!!! Dude I'm going to say this... Sure all the blame lies on you...For going on such an awesome adventure!!! It's all you fault? Screw that! you have damaged a material object ...the way you rebounded from this is just OUTFUCKINGSTANDING!!!!!!!! Keep going bro!!!
Duuuude... thanks for the motivation, that's freakin awesome of you 👍 Here's a little back story: I was and still am torn up about losing the truck because there's a lot more to that truck than I've ever lead on to. I have a kid with medical issues, we've used the truck to take them to and from medical procedures, and most importantly we used it to explore while maintaining a safe and clean environment. It's been a huge loss and I'm doing everything I can to get it going again. I couldn't agree more about it's only a material object, and I'm so happy to have made it out of the wreck without damaging myself. When I was making the edit I couldn't believe nothing else went arigh in that moment, any amount of straying off course would have ended with me balled up in a rock garden or worse. As you said it's all in how we rebound from things like this, and sir, Imma rebound like a mf'er 🍻🤘
Incredible journey to this point. Great series so far! Tundra's are solid machines, it's our family adventure vehicle too.

Well, if others learn, this video will probably save someone else a similar fate.
I would hope so, that's one of the takeaways my friend 🤜🤛👍

By how much did you exceed your truck’s payload?
we built the truck to handle 2500 on the bed, the truck come from the factory to handle 1350 payload
