When the nurse says that she "decided to take her dog to the vet," I hope that she does not mean that she took her dog to be euthanized. Many dogs are frightened by a big, human face leaning in toward them, which is why her dog nipped her lip, when she leaned toward him for a kiss. A dog that nervous should not be around children, I agree with her there. But he could live in an all-adult home, where his pet-parents understand that while he likes to be petted, he's frightened if you move your head in toward him, he's afraid that you're going to bite him.
I had a dog that bit. Anyone that got too close or reached a hand. The dog was lightening fast. The vet said this was common with a “ Matron dog,” used only for breeding. Not socialized. She was all used up, so was given to me at 8 yrs old. I adored her. But I had her euthanized when I had to go take care of my Mother with a fatal Dx. I knew my dog would injure her. I still miss her,, but my mother meant more to me,,, my Mother would not have been able to keep from touching the dog. Sad all around. 😢

That sucked. Yes, double jointed, loose jointed .. ehler danlos hypermobile. ... we hear all the terms. My ortho guy says I have it. The genetic guy says I ALMOST have it. Whatever. Ive dislocated my knee over ten times and my shoulder, three. I mèet most of the other criteria.
As someone who also has suspected hypermobility syndrome/E. Danlos - OW OW OW. Such sympathy for this woman. I dislocated my hip when I was a kid and had the same issue of my muscles being in hyperspasm. Ended up having surgery to pop it back in. Now I just pop joints and they go in on their own. The joy of poppin' joints. :p

As others have posted. There's is no such thing as "Dbl jointed ' there is a chronic illness called Ehlers-Danlos that causes hyper mobility and many many other issues. It causes our joints to dislocate extremely easily!! It also can cause alot of other debilitating and extremely painful, and potentially life threatening issues including heart and other vascular issues. It also tends to go along with the diagnoses of dysautonomia, POTS, MCAS, and gastroparesis. It's absolutely horrible to have any version of these. I have them and am almost totally debilitated. It's offensive, esp as a retired paramedic, to see this title. If you're going to present a professional show, then use the proper terminology please!! It's very possible that this pt doesn't even know that she likely has Ehlers-Danlos as it's not the first thing that most drs look for. But more are being better educated all the time. Please, for the sake of all of us that suffer (and i DO mean suffer) with this, use the rt terminology!! It at least add a disclaimer if this pt hasn't been diagnosed and chg the title to something a bit more accurate. Thank you
I'm American, and I agree. But I do think that we need Medicaid for everyone. Too many people are still without insurance, with our current system. They don't get appropriate healthcare, and that affects all of us.

I just priced plans for a former employee of mine. Many uninsured are young adults, who feel invincible, and think that they don't need health insurance. I recently priced plans for a former employee of mine, and found a good plan for her, priced at $25.00 per month, based on her income, and her status as the single parent of one child. There are many affordable plans, should people choose to purchase them. And the poor are covered by Medicaid, and the seniors are covered by Medicare.

i've dislocated my shoulders so many times in my 25 years of life that it barely hurts anymore. its more my muscles around the shoulders that hurt from being pulled because my shoulders will just shift down and out of joint without me doing anything. we're not gonna talk about the rest of my joints though lmao.
There is no such thing as 'double jointed' the correct expression if 'loose jointed' where joints are more flexible than normal. Double joints are a physical impossibility.
Gloves are for the healthcare worker more than anything lol. If they don't wear them, that's their choice. I think the UK is more relaxed than the US about glove usage. They wore them when handling blood products, at least.
@@rescue4fortyfour As a healthcare worker, even with a shortage of gloves, we have always managed to get by. They make 6 sizes and at least a dozen different types just in the nitrile category. If we run out of the size you wear, you fit yourself into another size or use a different type. We have never run out of the most commonly used sizes (s, m, lg), though, so this reasoning is highly unlikely. What I was trying to tell you was exactly what I said...the universal precautions in the UK are much more relaxed than in the US.

Because of Chloes stupidity regarding kissing her Dog the Dog was put down which I do not agree with. Had she left the Dog alone none of this would have happened. I do not believe that Chloe has any real empathy for the patients.

They have a zero tolerance policy in the UK, but she also said this wasn't the fist time it had happened, just that it was the worst. She also said it wasn't an easy decision to make.

American hospitals, when we are full and ambulances keep coming, switch to 'divert' status, which means new patients go to other hospitals.
In Germany the hospitals then log out of the system and ambulances are forwarded to the available ones
