We have the full adventure set so its really easy to block all 5 zones and have a negate on board for nib by the 5th summon so nib doesn't really help if they get a decent hand.
I remember seeing someone block all monster zones with an elaborate combo using a bunch of different monsters from different archetypes and standalones. It's crazy to think Konami released a single archetype that does it so casually but also isn't as bad as Ojamas.
This really isn't the first time Konami has done this release a card capable of doing so much for so little that an entire archetype does for a living look at DPE
Literally me yesterday at locals. Punk Kashtira player opened Draco Berseker, Ariseheart, and Shangra Ira game 1. I lost game 1, but then my opponent bricked the next 2 games, so I walked with it
Kash is weak to board wipes and lava golem types. Lava golem is much better than Kaijus because Kash almost always have 2+ monsters on the field (Shangri + Rise Heart + Diablos + 1 or 2 Kash monster special summon on your Standby). I've been testing that deck for almost 2 months, it's really fragile deck, loses hard to board breakers. Droll is also good against Kash, since it searches all the time, but I still recommend board wipe and Lava Golem. Dark Ruler is good, but not that good, cuz it will not get you out of zone-lock, plus you need to get rid of those big-ass Kash monsters on the field.
Drytron Herald: 5 to 6 solemn strike negates Runick Spright: 4 to 5 negates with your deck slowly milled Tearlaments Ishizu: your deck gets milled to nearly nothing Kashtira: you don't get to play at all. 🗿
Bro this happened to me yesterday at locals XD. I took a break from the game when tearlaments came out and I came back to play the new branded support just to get half my deck banished and a half my zones locked
That's not really a break in the same way, that's just skipping a format. While we were all playing tear, we knew that Kashtira was on the horizion, and what it did.

But compared to Tear, you can out Kash really easily. Sure you'll lose some cards in the process, but it's not a Tear situation. With so many cards countering it, it'll never rise to Tier 0 like it's predecessor. It'll be a top Tier 1 along with Branded and Labrynth.
A Monster that Specials Link Monster to your Monster Zones and is able to use those Monster and a level 4 monster that doesn't leave the field when used for a link summon. The Link Monsters can activate as if they were your own effect and it burns your opponent for massive damage if set up right.
I’ve always liked strategies that block zones, legit one of my favorite strats. However, never EVER should that strat be implemented as something that can be accomplished in 1 turn, in a consistent competitive deck! Even shit like floodgates has more outs to them!
When will komoney learn that being able to activate too great effects in your opponent turn should be a treat, not the main course. First branded and tearlements, now this.
@@darkhydra4262 but they did ban gumblar the first chance they got while firewall dragon otk existed for a long time. Same with tear. They wanted to promote the decks and would not limit problematic cards. Gumblar was an one of on the anime while firewall dragon was the main character ace monster. Now that Master duels don't have an anime the promotion relies on the cards themselves so they kept the problematic ishizu tear alive for too long again.

If i remember the ruling correctly drnm does save you from ariseheart but if shangri la already got zones blocked, it wont get unblocked even if you successfully resolve droplet or drnm on shangri la Or i just completely missed ur point about drnm

that happened to me on ygo omega, had 4 of my zones blocked, but my eldlich-trap deck works extremely well against them, im winning a lot.
Skill drain does wonders
atleast you can completely block out whole pendulum and lot of link plays

He had a macro cosmos type effect up. You cannot pay activation cost for droplet under that.
