They might kill off his character the next season, you don't know. Plus, when the show wasn't filming, he was probably trying to get work on other projects, so it would make sense to keep the family in California. You'd also have to worry about getting the kids into school, and Canadian citizenship or working visas. Not too easy to move from one country to the other.

Put a spoiler tag before replying just incase others haven't played it yet, but there were a couple scenes in there for me that made me cry having grown up playing the original god of war games, *SPOILERS AHEAD* At the end after atreus leaves on his own and kratos saw on the mural that he was was going to be loved and seen savior and get a sort of redemption and he chokes back the tears, it really got me. Also the scene where he is with faye and she jokingly says he is afraid of baby atreus and he says "i am not afraid of our son faye.. i am afraid for him..." and you know he's remembering what happened to his previous wife and daughter, that got me in the feels.

I fell in love with gaming and never knew he was used as the voice of my many of my childhood games. He is still so youthful looking for his age and I am grateful for his body of work.

Christopher Judge is a MASTER at imbuing tiny lines with the meaning of thousands. That one “I know” in the clip. The singular “Boy!” in Ragnarök when Atreus runs away. He’s an incredible, iconic Kratos, one of the best vocal performances in games, but when you only give him a few syllables to work with he ascends to some of the greatest voice work in recorded history. What a talent.
This game made me cry constantly, I’m like dang it not again! When he starts to open up with his emotion and with atraeus. Also, I have a 1 year old boy so it’s the parent aspect for me now. Such an amazing storyline
