- One of the best parts of adding new content to Path of Exile is watching your reactions to it! We've compiled a variety of our favourite reactions from the community that brought us a lot of joy. We had a blast in our last announcement livestream and are looking forward to the next!
Honestly, the Atlas passive tree is the best thing that could've happened to the Atlas. Basically, GGG took the essence of POE and doubled it.

It just works on so many levels. Not only does it give players a great deal of agency to engage with league mechanics they want to, as well as reinvigorate some content that had gotten a bit stale compared to newer mechanic... It also makes completing your atlas feel wayyyyy better. Its no longer the mindless slog of 'I have to run Necropolis to get completion', it's 'I want to run necropolis so I can get closer to that sweet atlas passive I want'. Couple that with the atlas rework, and the less grindy nature of the new endgame bosses... and the mapping experience feel more free and fun than ever before.
The Atlas passive tree literally saved PoE, this turned the overwhelming amount of endgame content into a sandbox endgame where players can literally build their own endgame experience, this allows GGG to add tons of new league mechanics and content letting players choose their preferred mechanics to grind, its an absolute genius move!

As daunting as the atlas tree is, its such a damn good addition to the game. Mapping is so much nicer and easier to customize now.
So much better for SSF too.
Daunting? I found the new tree to be amazingly simple if you can get past the scale, I was expecting a layer of insanity I couldn't wrap my head around.
been playing since 2013.. almost 11k hours played.. and this atlas change was just what the game needed.. i get that feeling i used to get many years ago.. jonesing to get home so i can map..
omg right lately i play new leagues for like 2-3 weeks do what I wanted and then come back randomly thro the league, this league I feel like when I just started again I get that I wanna play all the time feeling again :)
Yeah not really. still a 10 act/map grind that feels the same as always. beta player here also.
@@danw3735 Been playing from around that time also. Though i gathered several thousand hours in it, i quit several years ago because i burned out on the endless grind. It seems this is just another layer to disguise the grind and cookie cutter builds. When me and my buddies started it was fun to try to new spells, combos and strategies to see how far we would get. Naturally in HC. Since then the acts became just stretched tutorial and the actual game is the map grind.

Yeah,made my acc Jan 2013. This is the one league that had brought me back and is holding me where others didn't, it's insanely good.

The Atlas Passive Tree is one of the most important (you can say "influential") additions in the game yet, and the payoff for trying harder in the Atlas has been worth it.
This is not as jokey as it seems.
id be down for that i dont think the devs would be tweaking every weapon base time every update.

This was right up there with the 10 acts reveal. GGG does not miss when it comes to hyping up new leagues/expansions
Many companies nowadays invest so heavily into their hype propaganda, that they forget to back it up with actual content. GGG on the other hand never fails to deliver.

I love this. The collective eyebrow raises from the atlas overhaul, the picture of the items to cool down and take it in, and then the big shock from the passive tree

GGG still able to hype me for new content since open beta. The atlas passive tree is just a fantastic end game tool.

Loved this video, was great to see everyones reactions. Really great to show off some of the lesser known streamers too! I'd love to see more videos like this with maybe rip clips, or like community update video once a week or every few weeks, of what's happened to everyone (I mean 90% of the rip clips will be quin and ziz though)

I really appreciate how much more involved you guys have been with the community lately, would love more of this type of stuff.
This is huge to me as a casual player. It adds to the sense of progression. In previous leagues, my progression was mostly perfecting my items. And, sometimes it can take a long time if you are not a try-hard. Because of that, I often used to quit the league after killing a few bosses. Now, every day I have a small goal to unlock some part of the Atlas and each map takes me a little bit closer to my goal. I don't feel like I'm wasting my time. The game is rewarding me for every minute I'm putting into it. Great work folks 👍🏽

the atlas passive tree has to be one of THE BEST additions to the game EVER. (I've been playing since closed beta, so I would know :P )
I can understand the enthusiasm and joyful flickering in the eyes of all you enthusiasts, since this game offers a depth few others if any can compare with.. however, the last time I came back to PoE as a casual gamer it took me like months to understand the changes and new mechanics and all. Just watching this makes me believe there will be a community college degree in PoE soon, that will be required to even be able to start playing the game. For me at least Path of Exile became too complex for it's own good and I guess I am now intimidated enough for good to probably never try and get back into it lol
Taking a break from the game for sure is a pretty rough. Especially league content hitting a critical mass where you find a different minigame every time you load a level. The Atlas passive tree kinda has an interesting approach to that problem where you can find the nodes that correlate to your favorite league and invest in basically just that. I remember playing Harbinger League years ago so I just used the search bar to find Harbinger nodes and ignore everything else. I'm sure it's not optimal play, but it gets the job done in a way I find fun.
Seeing and reading all of those "WTF"s out of each streamer's chat the moment "An Atlas-Wide Passive Tree" appears on screen is the best part about it.
This was awesome to watch thanks for including so many smaller streamers I love finding new exiles!

No offense to anyone but if we removed some of the reactions that were exactly the same or similar to others, we would have a much shorter video. As for the reactions from some Streamers that I didn't even recognize. Can anyone else relate to this?

This was a masterstroke. It completely changed the way we play POE for the better and allowed us to spec into what we want. Absolutely ingenious.
Ive been playing for over 8 years, i haven't heard of half of these people. And the other part of that remaining half either couldn't wait to stop playing this game, or dont play it all but maybe a few days only at launch.
Most insane reveal to date imo. I havent been around for too long tho, like 2 years, but this Atlas Passive tree rly make my heart skip a beat

This atlas passive tree was what killed Diablo 2 Resurrected for me. I left Poe when D2R launched, and just came back at the start of this league. I haven't looked back since! Bravo GGG, I'm ADDICTED more than I ever have been! Poe is the King of ARPGS!!!
I was ready to quit for Last Epoch when that launched now I'm all in on POE

i unironically spent more money on unmaking orbs this league than half of reddit did on their builds and i dont regret a second of it, playing around with the passives is so much fun. definetly the best addition to the game all year
