Yeah Jacob's universe is a little mixed up. Here's some cliff notes. Steve Rodgers was allowed into the army and despite his sickly size he was brought on as the howling commandos mascot. Captured by Hydra and turned into the winter soldier. He defied the programming and became a hero. Later forming the this world's version of SHIELD, STAR. STAR Recruits various superhumans and utilizes their abilities to stop threats that normal government bodies can't handle, but insists that they are open and honest about their identities. Commander Frank Castle trains and helps lead teams in the field. Lucina Cage & Danielle "Dani" Rand are new recruits along with Jacob. After the mysterious death of his parents, J. Jonah Jameson adopted Peter Parker, renaming him Jacob Jonah. After a wild accident at Oscorp involving his best friend, Lily Hollister, Jacob was bitten by a radioactive spider. The R&D department of STAR, fondly called The Fantastic Four, closely monitor Jacob and the effects of the spider bite on him as well as develop weapons and gear for him. Did I really overly flesh this out? Yes. But yeah... That's my take on Spider-Man, what's yours?
