I agree the dog meat market should end. Dogs have evolved next to us for centuries as companions. Also thank you for caring about a animal in this case a dog and speaking up. The only thing vegans do is to critisize when you fight for dogs. They should be happy if they care for all animals.

Someone abused their dog, I tried to take the dog away from him but he wouldn't let me. I called the animal rescue shelter to take away the dog, he wouldn't let them. It was only after a meat market proposed to give him money to butcher the dog, that he finally let the dog be taken away. I was sad to hear that the dog died now. The meat market works like this: someone kidnaps a dog from their family home, and the meat market gives them commission. So many of those dogs from the meat market was previously owned by someone else. Dog kidnapping becomes a favorable job because of the money they get from it. So we should stop this. It's not only torturing animals, it's also stealing animals.
I seriously wish that meat trade didn't exist. It's so awful. They have no regards for animal life, especially dogs. Thank you for your great work again

DExactly, this is the DISSONANCE that Dr Melanie Joy calls 'carnism'... I am not so sure about the terminology choice but it is actually what she defines the attitude of 'petting dogs/cats, eating pigs/chicken, wearing cows/sheep...
Cows are bred for meat. We have been eating meat since the beginning of time. Do you think we had tofu when we were cavemen? NO. Dogs are bred to be loved not eaten.
Killing and eating a cow is NO different than killing and eating a dog, it's still cruel either way. A cow wants to live just like a dog wants to live, cows mourn the deaths and separations of loved ones and become depressed, cows don't deserve to be slaughtered, neither do dogs but why is a dogs life more valuable than a cows life? Both creatures have families, friends and they are both living creatures so why are dogs more important?
+Enderwolf Draws Actually they don't just kill and eat the dogs, they torture them so their meat will taste better. But all in all dogs have a special bond with human beings while cows and pigs and other animals exist in order to provide food to people, but I respect your opinion.
+shaya rickson Yes, I am very aware of the dogs being tortured before being killed, I'm aware they get, hung, beaten, boiled, burnt, etc, before they die but, it's not much of a difference to the meat and dairy industry, it can be worse depending on the country, I'm quite sure in Australia slaughter houses/factory farms are very cruel. In the documentary 'earthlings' it does show the cruelty in factory farms. Cows, sheep and pigs get hung by their hind legs and they get their throats slit whilst fully awake, they bleed to death, the death is slow and painful, they really don't deserve it. But thanks for respecting my opinion anyway.
I'm 14 years old and I'm very glad that there are many people that care about animals and not use them for money. You guys inspired me to join my local animal shelter and see many hopeless animals become so happy at the end!!!!

Does the group who saved dogs' from meat trade in South Korea know that there is an annual festival there where dogs are BOILED ALIVE because "the meat is more tender." Is there any way that this horror for the dogs used in this way to be stopped?

Thank you so much for saving the dogs and those who adopted them. I was born in South Korea so I know (to some extent like how dogs get killed etc) about the horrible dog meat trade. Bad news is still evil people are out there killing innocent dogs for money and food and ignorant people who eat them, but good news is that a lot of Koreans do not support dog meat trade as before, so hopefully someday there's no more dog/cat meat trade anymore in Asian countries.

This was an absolutely awesome ending all you people are the real heroes in this world-people who save dogs are the greatest of the great-you guys rule and give dogs their lives back-give all your puppies all your love and treat everyday like its their last and when its their time you can always be assured that they could never have had a better life than from what you gave them-that's what I take from every dog I have ever saved and found homes for-dogs are the best creation God ever made no doubt!!

Hubby Ric is retired now, but during his days as an active merchant seaman he often sailed to the mid East/Far East, to what are known as 'non-pet' cultures. The American ship guys ALWAYS fed the strays and helped out whenever they could. A few of the stories I heard were just dreadful. Not just mis treatment, neglect and cruelty toward dogs but, also mules, and camels. Dogs have a special place in our hearts and because we cherish them as companion animals, to us, the idea of eating them is appalling. And, when one considers: this type of indifference toward animals, this casual cruelty in some cultures is merely shrugged off - that's creepier still.
This made me cry. 😭❤️ I feel sad but happy and relieved at the same time.
What a lovely story,there is just something so special about these dogs,it's as if they know the cruelty that they were about to endure at the hands of these ruthless people. I'm so happy for them and thankful to you kind people. What would the world be like without you.

Ur the guys are herose ween we got our dog IT was from a pet shop here in sweden there is no puppys runing on the streets whit out being pick up to a nother home i wanted a rescue dog from a nother countrie but we coudent and that so sad becuse its so many dogs that want a home and dont. That bird is (maybe) well cared for, I don't think she's going to hang the bird, and beat the bird while its suffering all ready (which is what happens at dog meat farms, and more)

I'm hugging my puppy. We found him abandoned at the park by our apartments a little over a month ago. I've hardly ever gotten the chance to adopt from a shelter because there are so many strays in the city.

Well, they were probably offended and frustrated because people unfairly stigmatize the ENTIRETY of Korea for a practice that are mostly prevalent in certain regions. Many Koreans own pets themselves, and the rise of pet ownership is increasing. However, yes, dog meat trade is still a "problem" there. I guess it would be like saying-If there is an article about how America is a great place to live, but then someone comments that no, they abuse and mistreat their farmed animals and police brutality is a big problem. Yes, those are problems, but they should not stop someone from visiting the U.S. just because of that.

I laughed when the lady said that dogs should be able to play eat, have toys and a loving family; some children can't have that. Dogs are being treated better than humans. All those rescue missions should have been done in Siria or other countries that are currently at war, to save children or people. But this world is so messed up and apparently dogs are more valuable and important than humans. It makes me sick.

Heartbreaking...Thankful these were saved and to see them in their new homes is priceless. It just saddens me that these where the lucky ones....there are still so many suffering. It is very painful when you think about it.
