Hey, I’m glad to see you’re posting. My daughter and I watch you every single day every single thing you put out. You’re like a breath of fresh air. Thanks bunches.❤
Lucy is so happy to have you home!! 🐱 💖 Yes ~ our words manifest actions, both in ourselves and in others. Simply by bringing those thoughts and feelings to the surface in the form of words spotlights them and now you are in that “zone” when maybe you would not have been if the words were never spoken. 🤐
It’s not so much my words that betray - My tone- speaking makes me anxious. Anxiety raises my voice. Conflict, confrontation causes stress= anxiety. I have to work on breathing calmness so that I can communicate without having issues. It’s hard 😢
Hi Karen I am new to your channel. Words do matter. They can make or break the moment. I learned this when I was a teacher for 35 years,. Words said in anger or spite hurt. I try my best to use my words carefully. I didn't a year and a half ago and my words were misinterpreted. I lost a 25 year friendship. I have tried to repair it but it is gone. I should have used my teacher advixce but I was pushed to the max. Forgetting that my friend takes everything personally, I lost that friendship. I wish her well. Even at 69 years old, I am still learning. I look forward to my next spiritual journey,. Hugs, Sandy from Florida
Love your folksy manner and YES we must be careful with our words. Thank you for your contribution to this community and helping us power through the challenges ahead. 💙🙏💙🙏💙🙏💙🙏💙🙏💙🙏💙🙏💙🙏💙🙏💙🙏v
Words do indeed matter. It is very sad that fighting and battling are associated with cancer. We are not at war with our bodies! Love is the answer! 🤙🏽
My nephew is the new Athletic Director at Ohio State (so, the head coach's boss, I would assume). Pondering on whether to forward this to "that side" of the family. You do realize that in 1835-1836 we had the Ohio-Michigan war...search for The Toledo War...battling over a small chunk of land on the Ohio-Michigan border. I think that's where the "war" references came from.
I was saying to my friend just the other day about a pro football game she saw on tv and she could hardly see the players for all the snow and slush in the game. I said it must be like war, in that you participate regardless of the weather, or maybe like mail carriers--nor snow nor heat nor dead of night will detour the mail. That coach must have been miserable to play for because the players must have felt they failed him. Games in college should be about learning how to lose as well as how to win and how to have character. Nice to see you, Karen.
Die hard Notre Dame fan here! Irish kicked USCs butt!! O-H whoooo?? Their coach is an instigator. Always has been. Teach your team how to lose with class. I am so glad Michigan has beat them the last 4 games. Very classless of OH!
Have always told my children that words matter, it's so true. I heard about that brawl today as well, it's really sad. (Also, fellow Badger fan here even though this has been a challenging year for them)
I’m a retired police Captain and have had to be very careful about police response in which chemical agents could be deployed if the crowd fails to calm down. Our goal has always been to de-escalate incidents of civil unrest. If we don’t the incident will get worse and people may be hurt. Acting like a bunch of thugs with nightsticks and guns doesn’t bring the emotions down. In fact when we arrive at the scene people are more inclined to fight with us than the other people they are protesting. If I were to use the most forceful rhetoric in my bad-ass mentally I can assure you we would have triggered an angry crowd intent on fighting with us. But communicating in the right tenor and conscious respect for their constitutional rights to free speech they are more likely to disperse when told to do so.
@b.hanson406 . . . . Wow, this is really great to hear this from you. Welcome. You were where the rubber hits the road. All sorts of people cast some crummy aspersions at police. I imagine it can be hard to keep your cool when you're under attack.
I have an idea about starting a viral campaign. What if kids start posting messages on Tik Toc, TH-cam, Instagram, etc pleading with Biden and Kamala to do something? Kids aren't stupid, they know something is wrong.
I hope you had the best time with your loved ones. I do say that I suffer from tooth in mouth disease. My brain shuts down and my mouth opens up. I am learning to breathe. Thank you for sharing your thoughts 💙💙💙💙
Welcome back! I can’t believe it’s been 10 days since you left to visit your sister. Thanks for bringing us along and for all the great videos. It felt cozy watching you there, and now again ‘back home’. Good food for thought as well re: words matter, as do our thoughts 🤔
I live in Buckeye country and my husband went to OSU. Pretty much everyone here are Ohio State fans and the Michigan game is huge every year. I root for Ohio State but it’s not a big deal for me. People live and die by this stuff and I find it silly. I thought the war comment was horrible, and everyone here justifying this fight, ridiculous. Ugh!
Thank you for talking about this, I struggle too✨ I try to tell myself “Don’t Focus on what you Don’t Want”… but that comes after the deed. Seems now, the struggle is greater💕
This is fascinating. I am a university of Michigan alumni over 40 years ago. Back then, Michigan was a superpower house and the biggest rivalry was always with Ohio State. I live in Washington state but I'm visiting family in Michigan right now. I am an atypical male and university of Michigan grad. I have zero interest in football (although it was great fun to attend with 107,000 other people when I was in college). My sister and brother-in-law, however, a big football fans. They are Michigan State graduates but they will root for Michigan against OSU. Anyway, my sister and brother-in-law were telling me all about the brawl. So, I find it fascinating that you're talking about it also. I never watched TV at home but they watch a lot of TV so I'm catching some of it and seeing how much warfare is all over the place. Even the home improvement shows are full of hammers hitting walls (which I must admit, was fun when I renovated my house). I think the Ohio State coach was both being arrogant, since they were predicted to win the game by 20 points, and also acting out the energy of modern civilized warfare. While I find it unappealing I also find it fascinating. We are humans and we have that energy and our collective. One more thing, I recently suggested a friend read the four agreements. She read it about three or four months ago and constantly tells me it has changed her life in incredibly positive ways. I am happy about that. I invoke "be impeccable with my word" pretty much every day is part of my spiritual practice. I think it has helped me a great deal especially as my marriage dissolves. And welcome home to you, Karen. Namaste 🙏
@tedhwilliams . . . . Kudos to you. To follow your own path which isn't participating with the dominant zeitgeist, I would say, takes alot of couarage, especially for a man in our culture. I think that it's slowly but surely changing though. Thank Heavens.
Hi Karen nice to see you. Good for you to rest after your travels. Hi lucy✨️🐾 new moon blessings 💞 love the 4 agreements✨️💞 you are being you for sure😃
This is such an important topic ! Thank you for the reminder … even in our thoughts 💭… it’s all energy . We are human and we will think and say things we don’t mean… beast to stop and think about it before we speak . I’m trying . ❤
Your topic of being mindful of your words reminds me of an old Oprah show where she suggested replacing the F word with Freaking. I thought that was kinda dumb because everyone knows how to translate that back to the original meaning. Not once did she focus on changing one's intention. I thought that would have been a better solution. Don't get upset about it in the first place. If it's a situation worthy of the F word, just go for it. Words are poetry, an art form, a puzzle and a connecting force. Very powerful, often misunderstood but a gift to those who know how to work their magic.
I don't think it's interesting that people's chosen words spark violence, but I do find it unfortunate, especially when those people are supposed to be leaders or role models. But it is also a reminder for us, that if aggressive words can influence others to be more aggressive, than kind words can influence others to be kinder.
Sooooo...interesting you talk about this! I saw it happen and said I hope they don't stake the flag like that at the FSU game tonight (because it's tradition in conjunction with the Florida Seminole tribe before games) and the Gators who played FSU ended up doing the same thing at the FSU game tonight. I said I manifested it...🤪 I would now also add that energy can be amplified and transferred good or bad between teams or people. I would prefer to focus on the good.😊 Great off beat video post!

The Michigan players tried to plant the flag at the center field. That’s a little beyond good sportsmanship. It’s poor sportsmanship, and that is what made the Ohio players irate. No.. I’m not a fan of either team. I’m a Nittany Lion through and through! We are… PENN STATE!! 😊
Karen, I'm like you. I love being with friends but am a tad introvert so need to recharge my batteries alone from time to time. Your cat miaows just like mine - I think mine is a female alley cat, she is very vociferous.😂
I’m a Buckeyes fan, pretty disappointed with their play yesterday. If the Michigan player had waited for the seniors to finish their Carmen Ohio song, I don’t think it would have escalated to that degree. Both coaches should have had better control of their teams at the end of the game.
Good point. We didn’t see that they were in the middle of their song. It would have been fun for them and their fans to see them win yesterday for sure. 4 years is too long not to pass the torch. Next year 🙏🏼. 🤗
For some reason, I had heard the Ohio coach’s quote even before the game today and I thought to myself that he must love 45. bc that’s the foolish, aggressive wordplay he loves to use. Yes, words definitely have power and some young men eat it up as an excuse to be violent as happened today. Sad. Thanks for your channel!!!❤ ✌️ Peace!
Yes - words can absolutely be weaponized - and they have! Words can heal, soothe and build us up so it makes sense that they can wound and tear us down. Every war and every love story begins with a word. That’s why they call it “spelling”. Love you all! Happy Sunday 💕💕💕. Julie

Yes. As Maya Angelou said, “Words are things.” What happened to sportsmanship? It seems to have gone the way of statesmanship, not just in the USA, but throughout the world. We need to bring kindness back into the conversation and stop the bullying. We are all connected at the most fundamental level and could co-create a kind, loving world in which everyone is valued and supported. Gentle kidding used to be a sign of affection, but it seems to have turned ugly and become a toxic mix of profanity and vitriol which erupts at the slightest provocation. My challenge to myself is to pause before I speak and make sure I am speaking from my heart, especially when I feel anger or fear. Nobody wins the kind of fight that prompted this discussion. Our society seems to have lost the ability to coexist peacefully in public and that affects how our children learn to behave. Sad. Thanks for the prompt, Karen. And glad you’re home safe. ❤😊
I Watched the Gophers play. We won. This was not something that the coach should’ve said. It’s a game. Both teams should play their best. That’s how I see it. I always feel if the teams play their best. That’s all we can ask for. I still love my team. And I don’t go for the fighting anytime. That’s not good sportsmanship. We need more people to be good Stewart’s. We need to come together and do something about what happened after the game. So it doesn’t happen again. 😢
I'm sort of a religious fanatic when it comes to words. Especially words spoken to children. I/we must keep our word with children, else how will they trust us?
Yes, words matter. An alcoholic in my life went on a thanksgiving bender. After 22 years in Al Anon and as spiritual person, I have SLOWLY learned how much words matter and will be as nice as I am able when I see them next. It’s not about me. It’s the addiction that was talking.
Words really do matter. Like the bully in school, that doesn't remember how they bullied you in school, BUT IT AFFECTED YOU YOUR ENTIRE LIFE. That has happened to so many people.!!! My favorite person in the world, my aunt ( she 16 me 11 ) riding in the car singing with the radio. Said YOU HAVE THE WORST VOICE I HAVE EVER HEARD!!!! Fast forward,,,,, riding with my son on a field trip on the bus couldn't sing The Wheels on the Bus ect, my voice would crack and NOTHING would come out. Hence I have spent my life making sure I only say POSITIVE things to people. The world 🌎 would be a Much better place if we could all do that..🙏❤️💙🌎😘🙏❤️💙🌎😘🙏❤️
I never wish anybody serious ill out load. I can call them all the names under the sun but never say that. Karma! Started learning that from when I was a teen in high school and I told my friend that I hoped the teacher I did not like would fall on the stairs. Seconds later my friend fell on those same stairs. Oops!

The coach should be fired. This is not the example to set for young teen-age children. It is only a game for goodness sake.

I read that book. And yes, very hard to do! Hey Karen💙
Missed you!!❤
I have never met anyone from Wyoming! 🤷♀️
I never wish anybody serious ill out load. I can call them all the names under the sun but never say that. Karma! Started learning that from when I was a teen in high school and I told my friend that I hoped the teacher I did not like would fall on the stairs. Seconds later my friend fell on those same stairs. Oops!
❤
Does this make you think about djt's rhetoric at all times and specifically January 6th?
