    Thank you so much for this!!! I almost paid $80 to get my new battery installed, this literally took me less than 15 min!!

    It’s nice to see an upload from you. Your Monster still looks great. That’s the beauty of having a garage.

      I feel like it's almost a necessity to have some kind of protected storage, especially for smaller machines like motorcycles. Keeping it out of the elements and being able to do maintenance and detailing.... Oh indoor detailing is always a good time haha. I plan on keeping all my motorcycles well taken care of.

    @toasttogo - what are you putting on at 3:11? 5-56? Great vid man!

    • @ToastToGo
      @ToastToGo  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks man. It's an anti-corrosion spray to prevent the battery terminals and connections from developing oxidation, but I didn't realize these types of batteries don't need that type of treatment haha

    It's amazing how easily you can access things like the battery and the air filter on the old monsters. I have the same battery as well. Now let's get her inspected! 🙂

      That's one of the awesome appeals to bikes like these... so simple to do simple maintenance. I've looked up how to do the valves so it might be something I attempt when the time comes again. Love simple machines.

    My favorite part of these videos is the creative tank holding. Last one I saw was a shoe.

    hi ! What exactly did you spray on the screws ? thanks

    • @ToastToGo
      @ToastToGo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey there! I sprayed on battery terminal protectant which reduces corrosion on the battery terminals... HOWEVER... I was told that it is not necessary for these types of batteries... so it was pointless for me to do that haha. It's what I normally put on my car battery terminals.

    Do you need to drain gas from the tank before you lift the tank?

    • @ToastToGo
      @ToastToGo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can, it would help with gas leaking out the cap if the gas level is higher than the cap once turned vertically. Whenever maneuvering the tank, you'll always want to be careful of snagging any fuel lines or mindful of any leaks. It will leak some from the cap if the level does reach there when lifting the tank.

    • @ToastToGo

      Thanks for checking out the video! Yeah motorcycles are much simpler to work on than the various Porsches you tackle. Now this naked motorcycle I have is an even simpler machine to work on because there's not as much stuff to strip away. Not to mention, my bike's only got 2 cylinders and is air/oil cooled so no fans or water lines going through everywhere. This bike is almost as simple as it gets haha.

    You don't need the spray with an AGM battery

    Hey folks👋 I'm a Norwegian guy riding a Ducati Monster 600
    I have a Question .. i have a Yuasa 12 v(16ah) battery that is leaking .. but i want a gel version.. Can I use a 12v( 20ah ) on my Ducati Monster 600 ? .. i don't.. I've already bought one battery .. but I'm kind of worried I'd Ruin the electrical system .. what do you all say ???? Please answer .. help please 😋😋🤗🤗

    • @ToastToGo
      @ToastToGo  ปีที่แล้ว

      Don't worry, you should have resistors and fuses in place if things are too powerful. Or, if they are not powerful enough, you will have resistors clicking and stuff like a dead battery and whatnot. I believe...

  • @iuGigi

    What exhaust is that?

    • @ToastToGo
      @ToastToGo  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Gigi Prisco it’s a custom exhaust I did myself. It’s the stock exhaust cored out and modified with an added perforated tubing and muffler packing. I then removed the heat shields and sprayed matte black. It sounds pretty amazing for an at-home job. I’ll have to make a video about it. I have the video footage just haven’t put it together yet

      @@ToastToGo yes please! I was looking for some aftermarket exhaust for my s2r but i actually like the sape of the original ones, if i could keep them improving the sound that'll be amazing! Looking forward to your video 😉

    3:05 What did you spray on the terminals and why?

    • @ToastToGo
      @ToastToGo  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It was battery terminal protection to prevent corrosion between terminal post and connection... HOWEVER... I didn't realize at the time that these types of batteries do not need that spray
