🔴⚪DON'T HELP GOD⚪🔴 Brilliant. Deep. True. Scary. Almost funny but no. We really have to learn to get out of God's way. Thank you Dr. Bergsma.

Just love the way you encourage the viewers to subscribe to this channel... You should think of taking on Marketing Role for the Franciscan University and the St. Paul Center... I would go further and say you should be marketing the Church and the UCCB. (Kidding!! Just love the way you encourage us all... God bless you Prof)

Thank you Dr Bergsma. Jesus author of the actual grace of the old covenant and the priests themselves of course, showing care for them, and wanting to draw out of them realisation that he is their object, their fulfilment rather than competition. And George MacDonald "The Displeasure of Jesus" re: lepers advertising their healing against Our Lord's instructions.
"... but they would take care he should not go without his reward! Through them he should reap the praises of men! ’Not tell!’ they exclaim. ’Indeed, we will tell!’ They were too grateful not to rumour him, not grateful enough to obey him.
We cannot surely be amazed at their self-sufficiency. How many are there not who seem capable of anything for the sake of the church or Christianity, except the one thing its Lord cares about--that they should do what he tells them! He would deliver them from themselves into the liberty of the sons of God, make them his brothers; they leave him to vaunt *their* church."

I pray to be obedient to God’s ways…

Amen. Pursuing God as Alpha and Omega is us putting God BEFORE any problems we face and remembering the He'll be there AFTERWARDS. Stay blessed.

    Abraham model of faith

"Abraham had faith and obeyed God. He was told to go to the land that God had said would be his, and he left for a country he had never seen." *Hebrews 11v8*
Oh for that one act of obedience, it changed so very much for us!

The Abrahamic promise is not a single promise but many, which increase or decrease, following Abraham's own development.
The first was that his offspring would be like the dust over the horizon, that if he could count the dust, so would his offspring be. But what is dust? It hangs in the air so long as there is movement, steps that bring it up. But this dust will return and settle back from where it came.
The second was like it, but as the stars in the sky, his descendants would be looked upon not only for a short while, but by even many upon the face of the earth, far and wide will their name be remembered to guide those who look up.
But even the stars are not forever, and a great name as a nation does not necessarily mean children. Was our nation named after St. Emeric? How many children did George Washington have?
The 3rd promise was the sands on the sea shore, which was the greater of the three, but not the greatest. The greatest was having God as his very reward and shield, but since he did not understand to appreciate this, he was given offspring, together with a chastisement for his human weakness and ingratitude. There will be children, but they will be divided, they will be slaves in a nation not their own.
But the Lord makes wonderful promises, and the sands on the sea shore are representative of resurrection. They settle on the earth for a short while and return to the sea, but they will be restored to the shore again in time.
God's ways are higher than our ways.
Abraham's test with Isaac came as a result of the fate of Haran, his brother. And since human sacrifice is not a thought that even occurs in the mind of God, you can smell Satan at work here, just as with Job, who stopped his hand and said, Now I know that you fear God, for you have not withheld your son, your only son. Yet we know that Ishmael was still living at this time, and though they were both circumcised, it was Isaac who resembled his father and followed in his likeness, and was therefore called his son, his only son.
