Can you guys find a way to color code ( or something) a bible with all the 3 yr lectionary and feast cycle….so that the bible IS also our daily and sunday missal. Unite not divide bible and missal, it would help catholics look in their bible to follow all readings…..i know that would be a majortask but you guys are up to it!

Could you please make a video explaining the sequence and order of the catholic churches daily bible readings.
I can't make head nor tail of why they do this and why they seem to focus only on parts of the bible. and also why the vatican changed the names of the church year and took out the terms pentecost and advent etc.and just called them week numbers

First question - why does the Church emphasize certain parts of Sacred Scripture? The Lectionary covers most of the Bible over the course of three years, but there are parts of the Old Testament (think of some of the repetitive genealogy passages and listing of kings and their mothers) that just do not lend themselves to homilies.
Second question - why did the Church change the the liturgical calendar and more specifically take away terms like Pentecost and Advent? As far as I know, it didn't. Six months ago we were in the season of Advent. A couple months ago we celebrated Pentecost. Now, ordinary time is numbered - that's why it's called ordinary time (a little old fashioned, but think of 'ordered' as opposed to 'regular').
