  • Just talking about the potency of women in African spirituality. We have an important place, space to occupy and we should not shy away from it.

    This is why it’s sometimes hard to ask your parents for your traditional spiritual beliefs because they themselves see it as evil

    • @MakedaWisdom
      @MakedaWisdom  6 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Good morning beloved,
      Yes, and your parents just like you are entitled to see the world how they see fit.
      It only means, you are not asking the right questions to them, that would tell you more about your culture. There are many questions you can ask that will not involve religion and defensiveness on their part.
      You are as free as you allow others to be ❤️

      Love, to me nothing is ever lost, meditation is a tool available to each of us to access whatever knowledge we seek. It may be uncomfortable, and uneasy at first but once you manage to find your path, each question you have will answer itself. I agree sis. In a meditation I discovered I have Egyptian roots. Even the name I chose before I incarnated is Egyptian. And my home is Memphis. I graduated from Raleigh Egypt whose mascot is a pharaoh. I could go on and on. So seek your spirit guides and spirit animals. Sekhmet came to me in my first one. She’s very powerful and very active on earth right now. As I study these things, you’ll feel as if your being guided by an unseen power. Trust whatever u feel! Our dna is awakening. The veil is thinning. We’re in the age of Aquarius. We’re leaving church and RELEGION. We are searching for our true roots. We are the first generation to do so in a very long time . The eclipse of 2018 that crosses east coast and west coast released us from a spell . It’s the end of the 400 years as slaves. Just like in the book of exodus. I have many vids and playlists for ppl just discovering the truth. I also saw native Americans in a meditation, they told me to remember what I’ve forgotten. Now I understand what that means. This sister here is my go to for Clarity . I so appreciate her! Ase’ Queen.

      I met an East Indian lady who told me I had a motherly spirit trying to comfort me. My mother had just passed a month so before and every morning I woke up I cried, got ready and went to work. At first, I was very angry at her because she said spirit but she said that she wasn't going to tell me but the spirit insisted that she tell me, now I lost it then. Then she said I don't know but she has a motherly feeling about her. This lady had just met me and didn't know that my mother had passed. I broke down and cried. I knew it was her. She was there. My mother had come back to comfort me. I was so happy because she had always said wasn't going to bother us especially me because I was afraid of spirits.

But as i continue to evolve and grow, im reconnecting (bc i was unconscious) to the power of divine femininity and the woman. I am beginnig to seek wisdom and guidance from women bc it is US who will change what's happening in our american black communities and on earth. #Gratitude for finding this sister.

My mother may prevent me from practicing it because she's Christian. I want something that will satisfy my spirit but, I can't take Christianity because the religion is so toxic and so backwards in it's way of thinking. Can you help a sister out? I'm a teen btw.

      Hi Love,
      So glad that you are looking to reconnect with African spirituality. Since you are still living with your parents, you may start by just reading about it. There is so much information you can find before you decide whether and what tradition you would want to practice. Also, there is no need for you to send negative energy to any religion, use that energy to fuel your own dreams and desires and to motivate you on your own path.

    I'm half Native American and in our spiritual culture alot of tribes was matriarchy. The eldest womam had the last say. Made the last decision not the "chiefs". Although Chiefs were very important ofcourse.

    • @MakedaWisdom
      @MakedaWisdom  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The eldest person is often a woman in many places (women usually live longer than men) but the system has nothing to do with what modern people refer to as matriarchy. Her voice is the last say because she has the most experience being the eldest person around thus, her wisdom is respected.

    • @divinefeminine4206
      @divinefeminine4206 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MakedaWisdom Girl I'm not "modern" I am NATIVE. Anyways our language is not the English Language it is an Athabaskan language so I use the word "matriarchy" because in OUR CULTURE the women and the men were balanced, nobody ruled over anybody. The women had the last word because we are Wise beings that have very strong intuition. Well atleast some of us.

But my grandmother on my dad's side was a powerful root worker. And I was trained by her. So I just ignore them and do what's in my heart. It's okay to blend too. My friends are from Ghana and Nigeria I've learned so much from the women elders too. So they are my spirit godparent and god siblings. I love that bond is important too.

    • @MakedaWisdom
      @MakedaWisdom  7 ปีที่แล้ว +34

      Hi Love,
      Focus on healing yourself and stepping away from the hurt. If you have had the opportunity look to other women around your that provide that nurturing and be grateful for their care of you. Some women are not capable of giving what they do not know how or what was not given to them. We cannot shame them but you should not let yourself be hurt. I hope this helps. Much healing to you, it is certainly not easy...

      When you have children or if you have children be the mother to your children that you wanted your mother to be to you. That's what I did although I still have a rocky relationship with my mother I still respect her as my mother she is in her 80's, the life she lead shows in her face. We must let our mothers face their own karma. That you ask this question I can see you will be or are a very loving Mother.

    What do you do if you noticed that your bond between one of your children is off? You know you love them, but it feels harder to love them. I don't know if it's a teenager thing or is it a spiritual thing?

    • @MakedaWisdom
      @MakedaWisdom  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I would need more details as teenage years are very delicate. Having a teen myself, I know that sometimes hormones and a good nice nurturing do the trick. It is also a period when the teen is trying to assess their own way in the world but this does not mean not having structured for them and reminding that you remain there to talk, even initiating a discussion.
      I know that when my teen gets home from school, I can see on the facial expression is something happened at school or even if something is boring them. If you feel that way, follow your gut and assess to see if the child needs some support, some venting, a reminder that you care. Sometimes it is nothing, sometimes it is more, but this hunch you have may well be founded. Hope this help and much love to you and yours ❤️

    Every other culture always has a mother goddess. Only after european and muslim influences did the woman become less important than the man. With all i have learned i believe that the first human was a woman then came the male.

    • @rottitres

      @@MakedaWisdom Blessings onto you my beautiful sister. It doesn’t have to do with tradition, just based on my personal opinion because growing up every religion that wasn’t Christian always has a mother goddess. Once I started learning about afrikan spirituality, a mother goddess has been main one in charge of creation. Plus the agnostic text talks about a mother goddess that was in charge of creation. I hope I was able to answer your question.

    Respect From Bamenda Cameroon. here in our town most of us are fast going back to our precolonial faith. Christianity and Islam is misleading and brain washing. i am of the African believe an customs

    • @MakedaWisdom
      @MakedaWisdom  6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Hello,
      There is no need to call it "precolonial faith", it is insulting for those who never left it and who preserve it for others to comeback to. Islam and Christianity did not brainwash anyone. Some people chose to join it and others did not. Those who are returning to their cultural spirituality will have a deeper appreciation for it. Returning to African spirituality is not about a fight with other faith but more more about a call to what one truly needs at that moment.
      May you truly enjoy and celebrate our traditional culture without feeling the need to bash anyone else.
      May the ancestors guide you to peace, which ever path it takes you.
      Much love to you,
