      I don't usually refrigerate my cakea before stacking but you definitely can if that makes it easier for you. There is a small cake board underneath the top tier which holds the top tier together very nicely.

      I don't work much with fondant as I don't like the taste of it. I do like to add little fondant details to my cakes sometimes tho. I just always make sure the fondant details are dried out completely before placing them on the cake. That way they will stay nicely on the cake.

    • @eva_enns_17
      @eva_enns_17  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have never needed to add a center dowel so far and have delivered cakes up to 4 tiers tall🙈
      Since whipped cream doesn't freeze hard it's less likely that the cake will slide around much. If delivery were to be very far I would insert a center dowel but no need when it's not a long drive.

    I live in UK dairy cream ( double cream/ whipping is readily available ) but not non dairy . Which one to use ?

    • @eva_enns_17
      @eva_enns_17  ปีที่แล้ว

      Non dairy is really the only option when it comes to decorating tiered cakes. You can stabilize heavy cream but it still doesn't work quite as beautifully.

    Great tutorial, thanks. Can we spray water on American buttercream to get a smooth finish?

      Dip your spatula in warm water for smooth finish.

      @@sushovnnaroy2555 hi...yes I do that. Just checking if room temperature water works just as well, both for whipped cream and American butter cream.

    • @eva_enns_17

      Just water. The temperature isn't really important. I always just use either cold or room temperature.
