When your plasma torch starts to cut it will pull more amps. Whatever your plasma is rated say 10 amps it will pull slightly more than rated by about 2 amps for a short time then back down after a bit. Not sure what you could do other than update the service to your shop for more amps.

change your mcb in your house fuseboard that powers the shed to a motorised mcb , has this as a higher start up value
