Beast drummer. I hear so much Stewart Copeland in Travis when playing live. Love the improvisation. Also, that might be the best sounding snare in rock.
I know Travis does not use a double bass, but if you look at the beginning, he has another pedal controlling an electronic bass or theatrical smoke or something. Never noticed this before and thought I would just share. I am curious if anyone else has ever noticed this, or if he has talked about this before. I would like to know the reason for this. Check out the other videos uploaded by this user and you will see at times, he uses the left foot on this pedal soley for the bass, while the right foot is not doing anything. So I know its used for the bass, or both as bass and some kind of theatrical prop like smoke or something. Appears the mallet hits some kind of pad on the way down. I hope to hear from others with their take on this. Thanks!

I'm not 100% positive, but I would guess it is the 808 trigger pedal
808 trigger
huge 808 bass sample, you can see the camera shake every time he hits it
when +44 he got injury travis use left foot for snare and bass.
Travis keep doing hard and harder
