MHT or mild hydrid really is a game changer. That little of energy when braking or coasting that would go to waste is instead reused to make the drive smoother and to increase mpg.
Been watching you fora while and getting all my friends to watch you , love the content bro honestly, with me living in the UK and a massive petrol head this content is literally perfect
I’ve had lots of experience with the B58 engine from my M140i back in 2017 through to my current (new to me) 2021 M340i. I’ve tried some tuned versions of the engine and also the Supra. The engine is so good and with the latest B58B30 TU2 variant it’s at its best!
Lovely motor, on my shortlist! Feedback - I've noticed this in your other reviews also; you mention the DB reading, but we have no means of comparison! know a DB reading is about as exciting as the brake test on carwow, but it's still good information. Throw up a leaderboard so we can see what 72db actually equates to!
I was literally about to write this exact comment regarding the DB readings. It would be nice to have a DB leaderboard for reference, similar to the 30-70 runs.
I have recently bought almost the exact same spec. Highly recommend switching the run flats. I’ve put Conti SportContact 7s on and it’s given the handling an extra 10% of feel that wasn’t there. Minimal negative effect on MPG. Zero regrets on buying mine 🙂
Top video again mate, as a stock car, overall, do you prefer the M140i (with adaptive dampers) or the M340i x-drive (saloon or touring), the 140i is lighter and more appealing, but is the ride quality really that bad in comparison or for very long trips especially? there’s also the X4 M40i as well which I’d throw into the mix. Cheers
The M340i is fundamentally better for long road trips etc. The 140i does however just have a bit more character which i love. The X4M40i is also a good choice but also surprisingly stiff.
Can’t argue with your conclusion… but, if you don’t need an estate… I’d argue an F80 for similar money, whilst not as fuel efficient, is a more compelling drivers car (granted not the daily driver this is)
I thought that the mild hybrid motor came together with the update of the interior (large curved screen, toggle instead of gearstick etc) as the LCI facelfit? Is this an inbetween model with the mild hybrid motor but still the older interior?

It’s better in the real world that Plug in hybrid’s. They’re pain in the arse, I’m charging a 330e every night 🙄

The 340s seems to be the prefect cars for a petrol head with a family
3 series as a whole is ideal. My 335D F30 is awesome!
I’m desperate to get one of these as my family car when my current lease ends. Prices are still punchy though.

What a brilliant review. Succinct and to the point covering all the salient points relevant to everyday needs.
Keep it up bro honestly ❤
love these realistic commutes

Really like how you talk about the cars suspension 😊 comfort is important for me
Awesome vid. Would love to have one of these, I've had a 140i in the past but wished i gothe 340i after this video 😆😆
Would love you to review a M340D Touring X Drive

@ If you had to pick one between those cars what would you take home as a forever car ? For sure something belligerent about the 140i!
Pls review an 840i
Nearly at the 20k mark!
Is there an option to have lighter steering on a 3 series...my steering was very hard on m sport model...gave me shoulder ache driving around town

YESS ANOTHER BEAMER❤
Is that on run flats or normal tyres?

@@ericuyttebroeck Yes that’s correct
@@ParagonCarsLondon best of both worlds!
What year did the mild hybrid come in?
@@Chris-nj1mr 2021
Pretty double the mpg of a evo or sti
Bmw are the best
Does this handle better than a M140i ?
M140is don't handle their power very well at all tbf, with the Xdrive I'd imagine this is a lot better
There is never a reason to have less horse power.
Wish BMW would sell them in the US. Alas, we only get boring SUVs.
