      So wait a moment, even after 2 years they still haven't delivered everything that was promised ? :-)
      To me the game feels like playing Warframe, but only hunting Cetus Wisps as the only game mechanic. Maybe people like that stuff, I personally look for a little more than just holding down a button 99% of the time to get stuff to make more stuff.

      They don’tsteal shitty reviews that are bias cause Hello Games didn’t pay Shillup to play it. He doesn’t like this game because of the older version and then his inability to actually play this game. Skillup notoriously bloats his reviews for money forcing people to not watch which is why he started a patron because people got tired of his bloated talking. Now he wants us to pay for his and his brother who’s equally as unlivable as he is.

    I can respect the fact that when you review a game, you will go to great lengths to make clear about your own biases, what you believe the game is trying to deliver, and how the experience of playing it is. Each review style has its place for different consumers, but yours is one I value tremendously because you seem honest with how the experience was for yourself.
    I'm sure this style doesn't gel with everyone, but when you review a game, I feel like a knowledgeable buddy I play online with is sharing their thoughts. Thank you for this review, your previous ones, and any other reviews you do in the future.

    My favorite things about your reviews is that even when talking about games you do not enjoy you manage to stay respectful and understanding of why the game can be considered a great game by others. You are one of the few reviewers that I feel does not just praise the games they love and shit on the games they hate. When you love a game you still see its mistakes and you will not defend them. When you dislike a game you still find the positives and rarely do you ever call a game mechanic idiotic unless it is an objectively bad mechanic. I know that I will enjoy your reviews whether or not I agree with you, and that is something very few other people can say about their audience.

      Breeka yeah, if only there was more of that. We live in a climate where whenever there is a game which is not amazing but also not bad, people just pick one side (usually the side they heard first from a game media, which is usually the bad side because easy views), not able to find proper arguments to why they hate the game, while calling anyone liking it fanboys and insulting them whenever they come across someone who present arguments and facts to back that opinion up. Trust me, I play star citizen from time to time. It's far from great at the moment but the all-out misinformation propaganda those guys are into is just disgusting.

    • @michaelmonstar4276
      @michaelmonstar4276 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jaspinirving1007 - Old comment, but maybe his disdain came from "getting burned" from the release. - He also claims even in the description that "we ALL got burned". But that's only the hyped-up audience of years who ended up actually buying it at release, not the people that got into it and still enjoyed it at launch. - This game wasn't nearly the half-baked wreck that (the then-non-existent) 'CyberPunk 2077' was and even thát game was enjoyed by people at launch, let alone "NMS". - I think he just had a chip on his shoulder from being one of those people who anticipated this game and didn't get what they wanted or expected. - I, for one, was not in the hyped-up audience, because I never really get swept up in that, and so... I just watched it all go down. And while I can understand that people get upset about promises not being delivered while having spent hard money on those promises (which I supposed goes back to the pre-order-issue), sometimes they can't over that and will remain bitter about it. - But I've just observed it from a distance and as the patches rolled out I only got more interested in it and gained a LOT of respect for Hello Games without even having played the game (but will).
      As for 'Minecraft' and 'Don't Starve': I have no idea if he ever played those, I think the former he hasn't and the latter he might have, but I also think he doesn't particularly care about those. - But does it matter?... I don't think those are similar enough. I think some other games that have come out since (and he has reviewed) are probably way more similar, as well as the still-upcoming 'Starfield' that will undoubtedly be compared. - I personally think he should probably revisit "NMS" after all these years and revise his review. Though, he has praised them for how much they've added to the game since this review as well. And I can understand if he just doesn't care (or have time) to go through it again, besides there being loads of coverage elsewhere.

      I find it a lazy and boring method to just mass info dump paragraphs on players on such an interactive medium to teach them your game.
      Also nothing gameplay wise really hooked me. I think it was the third or fourth big monster that I gave up when I just hit hit hit x25, it runs away, I chase it (all the exact same method of "hunting" it), hit hit hit x50 and I win!
      How fucking boring.
      Does the game get better than that? It had no hook for me.

    That was a very well written piece. I personally love NMS for what it is and do find enjoyement in the grind. But the aspects of the game mentioned here are very real. and it would be interesting to see the game finally focus more on exploration and diversity, now that there is a solid sandbox/survival foundation.

      I personally think the best way to play this game is in its creative mode. Especially for players who really don't like survival games. I know that this must have been said a million times already, but almost anything except for carbon can be bought on the thousands from space stations and trade outposts, and there's upgrades available for the starship that make it not require the refilling of launch thrusters. It's a balance between spending time to save money, or spending money to save time. When you are advanced enough, money stops being an issue, so you don't need to grind at all.
    I have to clarify that I haven't gone to the center of the galaxy yet (not sure if that is a grind or not, but seems like it)

    I love how Skill Up sees each game as separate arts and respects it. Not comparing it to other games or talking about how the game should be. You got all these other reviewers treating games like products blah blah blah this is like dark souls blah blah the main quest is only 2 hours blah blah the game is 4/10 blah blah its $60.

    • @Outplayedqt
      @Outplayedqt 6 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Totally agree with your general sentiment but it’s a bit disingenuous to say that Ralph doesn’t compare a game to another. He dropped the Mass Effect title in this vid several times and has done so with his other reviews. He’s a brilliant content creator on this platform, no doubt about that, and sometimes it IS beneficial to compare one piece of art to another. And that’s what he’s done so far and will continue to do in the future when applicable. Although we all like to think a video game is some unique avenue for expressing art, they’re just another medium, like films and tv, that benefit from comparisons to one another when trying to convey a particular idea.

    • @y2kplus9
      @y2kplus9 6 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Well... in all honesty, they ARE products in the sense that they are mass produced and sold at a price. Not to say they are not works of art at the same time, but as reviewers, I do like these comparisons because they give me (the consumer) a better idea of what I can expect from the game when or if I buy it. I've had many disappointing games that I regret buying; just some examples, Aliens: Colonial Marines, Destiny 1 and its DLC, just to name a couple. And it's due to those reviews that do talk about campaign lengths, give a generalized summary score, and judge the worth of the game's value versus my hard-earned $60. As an example, I'm a person that likes campaigns, stories, and exploration, so when a reviewer talks about a game only having a two or four hour campaign, that conveys to me that I will probably like a game less than someone else will, and thus it influences my decision in a meaningful and appreciative way.
      All of that said, I do partially agree with you. I would like to see more games judged on their individual merit rather than be compared to every other game, like the current "trend" of comparing every game to Dark Souls or what the game "should have been".

    • @jeffvella9765
      @jeffvella9765 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Can I call what you just said BS?
      ART don't make me laugh.
      The game is not art, the idea, maybe the concept, maybe even the main code is art, but the game as a package is a collective effort done my multiple people that never ends.
      If the devs keep getting paid, they will continue to improve their product, because it can always be better.
      The game has an objective and it is to be fun or enjoyable while art does not.
      Art can be enjoyable for it's maker only and it is enough, a game has different objectives and MUST try to be liked by others.
      Calling it art is like calling the internet art, which contains artistic expressions but that is not it's function.
      This over simplification of a game is the mistake.
      However I agree with Skill Up, the game is a grind and not fun at all.
      I will also add what Skill Up alluded too;
      THE GAME HAS NO SENS OF PROPER PACING.
      It doesn't know when to put the breaks on the grind to let the player enjoy other aspects of the game and when to put the grind where it complements what you are doing.
      In the end NMS is a badly designed game created with the objective to fund a tech demo of a procedurally generated universe and that is the reason why the game is bad.
      Some basics of what makes a good game are simply missing.
      A survival without meaningful(well implemented) danger, that makes the player fear death.
      An exploration without proper pacing(ruined by badly paced grinding)
      A grinding game-play which is not fun to do and seems more like work.
      This is horrible game design which should have been rectified at the beginning of the design of the game, but Hello Games were not interested in that at the time, they were more interested to create their procedural generated universe.
      The proof is clear as day when they released A grinding game with a very small inventory space which showed their initial lack of effort or interest in actually making a good game.
      Not running away with the money cannot fix the core problem of the game, the game is badly designed from the ground up, and cannot be fixed without scrapping the procedurally generated universe.
      A procedurally generated universe simply does not work for exploration games. The effort and attention to detail needed to grab the player has to be done by a human and not a program. NMS proved that.

      @jaspinirving1007 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Except that's what he did here. Compared how combat feels in Destiny to Gameplay in NMS. Bogus analogy. He prefers limited handcrafted vs. the possibilities based on an algorithm that you could equate to sci-fi physics and planetary development with a 60s-70s aesthetic. Mind you, there are more updates coming continuously, so while not complete, there is still the possibility that this game can be better. I like SkillUp, but this review was more a miss. Not bad, as NMS has gotten what it deserved, but he is still NOT the one to come to for reviews on this. Seek someone else who sees the past, present, and future (based on actual updates) for this title. SU just sees what wants here and just isn't interested.

    You just got a new subscription. As someone who enjoys NMS, everything you said is true. This game is very much niche and tedious. Your review is one of the better game I've seen in a while. You don't trash the game but you honest about it's issues. You not blindly positive but you recognize why some people would enjoy. Your review really does show that while reviews have a place, they should be used as guides about the game experience. Good work.

    Hmm, ya know when I clicked on this video, I was getting this vibe you were just gonna rip it apart because of the original hype train catastrophe.....and then.... you actually started saying it was good, but just not quite the right game for you. And that's totally cool. Good review, I like the honesty you put into it. NMS is a beast of two sides, one of wonder and exploration and adventure, the other of micro managing and dullness. LOL!

      Not the person you've asked, but... I refunded the game and I might have refunded maybe 5 games in my 30 years as a gamer. Because it was boring as fuck, the mechanics were crap and because I thought that the devs lied about so much that was not in the game or at least looked _very_ different. th-cam.com/video/RvAwB7ogkik/w-d-xo.html
      I was pissed and I felt lied to and I thought that the devs going into hiding after the release and the initial shitstorm was not a good sign as well.
      Also I thought that the game is actually boring as fuck and I thought it was utterly ridiculous that you were constantly chasing after resources, as if things like bloody sodium were amongst the rarest things in the galaxy. Or that if you were not struggling because of missing resources, you were _then_ struggling because of the stupidly limited storage space.
      My fault for jumping on the hype train, I am usually beyond that for quite some time now, but I am _such_ a scfi fan and a sucker for everything that has space ships in it. Also, I had over 39°C fever and was suffering from severe stomach cramps when I bought this game, which might count as explanation.

      Yeah sure, not a problem. So I think the new additions to the game are excellent. I like how you can buy what you need using nanites instead of going through a quest like before. I don't know if I like the new farming and mining changes to the game. My biggest problem though is the lack of diversity on the planets. When you land on a planet, what you see around you is the biome for the entire planet. It doesn't matter if I fly six hours in any direction, the planet will still be the same. This really ruins exploration for me. I'd like to see the colour of the grass or the ground change. Different types and sizes of trees with different coloured leaves. I'd like to see different biomes on planets instead of a planet being just one biome. There also doesn't seem to be an end to the gameplay loop. There is no cycle to the gameplay. It just feels like one long stretch without an end. But I'd like for there to be more diversity and biomes on planets because I want to explore these planets for hours. I'd like to travel for an hour and notice the grass changing colour or the weather pattern is different. I'd like to feel that I'm in a new area of the planet but still within the theme of the planet. So like, if it's a snow planet, I'd still like it to be cold and freezing but with different trees and areas that still work within the theme.
      What do you think about the game?

    This review mostly matches my feelings on NMS. One thing I can heartily recommend to anyone playing this game is mods. Some examples (not exact names):
    - Halve/quarter/remove launch cost. I used quarter. Can also reduce warp costs.
    - Instant button press (press E to do the thing, rather than hold it). Gosh that was annoying.
    - Remove camera shake. I hate camera shake.
    It can take some work but there are quite a number of tweaks out there.

    This is, like, an actual *review* of the game, not regurgitated “THEY LIED” and “BAD GAME ONLY” arguments (though the former point is still a valid point, it just shouldn’t be where the reasoning stops). There’s actual reasoning behind your points that isn’t mindless bashing and shaming. And I cannot stress how refreshing that is. Even as someone who’s liked it for these past two years, I’m not at all blind to its issues and so far I haven’t seen any reviews that point those out without revolving into a repeated tantrum of hate and contempt. Your review is an actual review, and boy howdy is that a good thing.

    I am glad that you managed to tell us so well for why you enjoy or don't enjoy the game. Sometimes things can be good in a way, but not fun for the reviewer, sometimes you come across games that the reviewer truely loves but the average player doesn't like at all. You've done an excellent job at allowing your own opinions and feelings for the game to come into the review without blindly shitting on the game like oh so many people do on both ends of the spectrum. No. You can buy THOUSANDS of basic minerals at one wealthy station for CHUMP CHANGE. Then you’ll never need to “mine” except for special cool stuff. 5 minutes of logical thought removes the busy work in this game, it’s fun. It’s only a droll grind if you refuse to learn how to do things better, faster, stronger, etc. you know, no different than Minecraft, Starbound, terraria, or any survival game. Use your tools knuckleheads. Also you can expect it to get even more updates, I’m glad they’ve proven mistakes can be worked around!

      slipspacer88 The game isn't garbage though? Maybe it used to be, but it's done loads of things no other game ever has. Not justifying the false promises at release but I just picked up the game for the NEXT update and it's incredible. You really need to do your research with the game if you're a new player but I found that quite easy to do with how easily the game can pull you in. The beginning grind is tedious, but it teaches you quickly how to manage inventory and become stronger. Again this is a grindy game much like minecraft for example, where the grindy part isn't all that 'fun' and more so just relaxing and waiting for each rock to be destroyed. If you don't like mining and feeling the gratification of slowly becoming stronger then don't play a universal sandbox. The reviewer did a great job and I liked the video. The game still has some minor flaws but it is without a doubt specifically tailored for people seeking this experience. Thought that was pretty obvious though

By absolutely shitting on NMS at release, and by supporting it when it vastly improves, we're telling developers that we won't take that kind of bullshit. Look what happened to ME:A, EA completely abandoned it and now its a dead game.

    This might be a little late, but there comes a point in the game where space becomes a non-issue (96 slots in your inventory), and you don't really need to mine for anything ever again: Once you get to that point you simply buy the stuff you need, and you get an idea of what kind of stuff you always need to keep in reserve. Repairing frigates, refueling, etc becomes a non issue, just a click away whenever you need it. I wonder whether you ever got to that point :)
    Of course, the experience coming up towards it also needs to be taken into account, and having to go through that perceived slog is not an excuse. Still, something to consider. :)

      Not quite - you never know beforehand which resources are needed and how much. Only after repairing a fair few frigates do you get a sense for what types of resources are required frequently and even then it is still hard to just stockpile enough of everything due to the limited inventory space. And it's not just repairing frigates, it's for everything else, too: Building bases, repairing drop pods, crafting equipment. You always need truckloads of all kinds of different resources and even in different "qualities". Sometimes you need Ferrite Dust, somtimes Pure Ferrite and sometimes Magnetized Ferrite - so that's 3 inventory slots just for Ferrite already.
      I still like the game and after getting some upgrades this all becomes bearable, eventually - but it's still an issue, especially when just starting out.

      Yea, No Man Sky is the only game that use crafing/refining system, oh and its the only game in which players have to learn how much resources they need for a specific crafting recipe......wait a minute!
      ....
      Just like any other rpg game with crafting/refining system...even in freaking Skyrim you are turned around to look for a ore, or whatever, if you find out that you are missing some and cant craft that armor.
      Do people now blame NMS for problems that exist in any game with crafting?

    • @RimshotKiller
      @RimshotKiller 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      COLD stop being like that, you are embarassing yourself. The fact that this game has a crafting system/inventory management was never critiziced, what is critiziced however is how these things are presented to the player and how he's supposed to interact with them. The inventory system is bs, plain and simple, and needing to gather ressources everytime you want to do literally anything is a pain in the buttocks. You never know exactly what and how much you'll need to repair, say, a drop pod. So how do you plan? Just take everything with you? You can't because, well the inventory stinks and there is no space. This contradicts your lousy examples: In Skyrim I know exactly what I want to craft, what I'll Need for it and how much and den get it. And after crafting that armorset I'll be good for a while because there is no need to craft every 2 seconds. It's the execution that is flawed in No Mans Sky, that is being critiziced. As has been said before. Listening/reading comprehension, you work on that.

I always try to have 500 in cargo. Plus instead of starship launch fuel I always keep 500 uranium in ship and this is sooo soooooo simple that after so many hours this guy should know this....

    A lot of people have an issue with the rock grinding in No Man’s Sky, that’s probably the main gripe everyone has with the game. Grinding resources for progression in building new tech.
    The thing is, there are ways to minimise that grind. Not entirely there are always going to be times you go to a planet and mine the piss out of it but there are other ways, I personally scan a bunch of animals and discover new planets, buy C, B, A and S scanner modules with the nanites. Go back to scanning animals. Make a shit ton of money and then take advantage of the galactic market or incoming traders instead of grinding for resources.
    With your regards to discovery, you don’t want to land because it wastes Launch fuel? That’s easy to solve. Uranium lol. If you find metal fingers you can get uranium from it and then you won’t care about landing anywhere because uranium lasts way longer.
    If you had a problem with inventory then why didn’t you just buy more slots. Inventory management only sucks at the start of the game, it’s supposed too. The game is supposed to suck for you at the start because you start with barely anything and slowly build into something. Most of the problems people face like recharging life support, getting resources, and managing inventory are pretty much solved later on, how? Easy life support upgrades, more slots for your suit and farms.
    A legit piece of feedback for the game would be to improve the grind a little bit seeing as it is the main gripe for people, it may not be an issue for people once they get a functioning base going but it is still the main gripe. The rest though, I think that’s too easily solvable.
    Might not be the game for you but you certainly only told the story of the beginning, not necessarily the middle or the later stages.

      Because everything you mentioned takes unreasonable amounts to time to do even the most simple thing and this is coming from someone that has played since end of 2016. For example, why bother making us pointlessly run around the atlas stations to learn words for a few minutes every time?

    • @UltimateFeudEnterprise
      @UltimateFeudEnterprise 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      popcornfilms1 Which is a reasonable gripe and you can have that, but after you’ve achieved them upgrades, the grind becomes less so by doing so. Also not everything I mentioned takes an ‘unreasonable’ amount of time, a procedural mission that grants you nanites doesn’t take long at all, scanning a few animals and uploading them doesn’t take long. You have the nanites and now you can buy scanner upgrades that significantly increase your cash per animal, you can now make millions per planet. With that money you can just buy the shit you need, need copper, why hunt for it? Just buy it from some trader, if it’s not in that system, just buy other shit that’s there that you need and warp. Honestly not that difficult.
      Also you don’t have to run around collecting words, you can if you want. You don’t have too?

    • @tonisoja1561
      @tonisoja1561 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You know, at one point after i finally looked into how to increase scan revenue, i realized there is very little reason to hit rocks. That clears two big caveats, mining and inventory management. Because, why would i hoard all this shit, thats not how i play, i dont need em right now. Those, not so frequent moments, when you still have to grind rocks for hyperdrive refill etc dont take that long.
      In short, i currnetly bypass huge amounts of grind, maybe if id be building a base it would be different story, this gets us to biggest problem with No Mans Sky. Namely why build it, why do much of anything, there is very little consequece to anything. build for what, go to center for what reason?
      ps. i think im dont with freighters and their missions, will use mine for storage thats all. doesent feel like expeditions are profitable enough, considering the time they take. I scan an animal for 450k, takes 5 seconds or so, they come back with some odd million after an hour or two, sometimes broken needing manual labour. and as much as i did those, seemed like there is only handful of same missions you do over and over again.
      pss. what the hell is all this new tech people are building, base furniture? Should i look into it lol? Nanite traders have pretty much supplied me with everything i feel i needed.

      Tõnis Oja Why build a base? Do progress the story for some, others use a base to show off to the community aye. But yeah, more things for the base will always be beneficial to the game. Why go to the Centre ? Why not? Don’t have too. I know Sean said it would probably be the main goal for most people, turns out he was wrong. Most people just wanna go and do shit in the Euclid galaxy. They did improve the centre though as different galaxies have different rules in a sense, like I’m in calypso and everything is just turned up to extreme lol

    I have never, nor ever wanted to play this game but to be fair Ralph played this as a game that needed to be reviewed. Most people play it as a their go to long term game. They arent trying to get it done, they are playing it for the "doing" this game isnt meant to be a fast run.

    Of all the reviewers I watch, I look forward to this channels reviews because of how it treats the game, like how he mentioned at the end. And because of the detail and overall goodness involved. The understanding of something not being for you, but knowing the appeal is there for someone else. This is why I will always use Skill's Warframe glyph lol.

    I think the biggest problem with the game is that all of the progression revolves around collecting resources and more importantly money. You want a better ship? - Buy one. You want a better tool? - Buy one. You want to upgrade your equipment? - Well, you better have nanite clusters. About 90% of the progression is just buying upgrades. The only consequence of death in the game is that You'll have to spend another 20 minutes pointing at rocks, because apparently your super high-tech hyperdrive can be fixed by hand using copper. You never feel stranded, because every single one of your problems can be solved by going around and shooting rocks. You never have to get creative with how you acquire resources, because you know there's a near infinite supply of ferrite dust or whatever on the other side of that hill.

    Okay so you don’t like the game. Fair.
    I personally fucking love this game. I love the grind, the exploration, the dog fights with space pirates, interacting with alien species.
    I think you saying that people are recommending this game blindly is entirely unfair, it just means they feel the same as I do. Well, I guess that does mean they’re blindly recommending it... nevermind.
    As usual, you happen to be the only person giving a fair review on the game.
    Although I feel if you want to give a fair review on a game like this, you should probably completely disregard your own opinion. Especially if you want to give details on the game for the viewers to decide for themselves.
    But, I like this video. It’s well thought out as usual, and I respect your opinion.

    Personally, somehow I managed to miss any info about this game until like a month or two before its launch, so I didn't have a few years of hype built up from it.
    The "infinite procedurally generated planets and environments" thing I knew was just going to be the Borderlands guns all over again, so I didn't expect too much from things like that. The multiplayer wasn't my main interest either, it was just going to be a nice bonus.
    Because of these things, I managed to get a solid 30 - 40 hours out of it at launch, which was a different introduction to how it's like now. The main Atlas quest seems complete now too. I liked the exploration, I liked the discovery, I liked the atmosphere, I liked the visuals, and I liked the audio (the music in particular is something even people who disliked the game liked).
    I recommend it only on PC though. Not that you can't get a good stock experience, but mods add, and resolve, so many things.

    It's like breathing... when you exhale, it doesn't feel especially good, when you breath in, it feels good. Can we enjoy something if that thing is all we get ? I think the tedium micro-management of No Man Sky (and other games for that matter) is what makes the rest so enjoyable. I feel, taking off of a planet, and flying to space, then to another system is really as enjoyable, because it is freeing us from the narrow scope of our inventory and because we've worked for it.

    Just going to point out you can lessen the grind by ship upgrades that make your launch systems pulse and hyper drive more efficient using less fuel to do things. As well as finding Uranium will fill your launch fuel with 20 pieces i have 1000 uranium so i am fine on top of the efficient launch thrusters that use very little per launch. I understand you disliking the grind but there is ways around it also your inventory space is limited because you installed tech inside the inventory rather than the tech slots provided to you that you can expand. You also have cargo slots in your inventory if you wish to add them that have 500 space each. Ontop of this better freighters and ships will fix this by having 30 plus slots each. Mining becomes faster with mining beam upgrades like the advanced laser and s class upgrades that make you mine faster and use less fuel to mine.

      LamiaTamer, I find the best way to mitigate the grind is by conversing with another player while you do the grinding :) Talking about things like how to build a base or the freaky creatures doing crazy things in the world we are on :)
      Also yeah just get to the point where you can avoid the grind and earn the right to play Normal or Survival as though you are in Creative :)

    Some helpful info in case you jump back on NMS: You can purchase most resources. You can build trade terminals on your bases where you can sell and purchase resources. You can build self-sufficient bio-domes where you can harvest plant-based resources without having to contribute to their regrowth. You can purchase resources from npcs. Your exosuit, aside from its general inventory slot section, has a high-capacity inventory section that can be upgraded to store more resources. You can have up to 6 ships with 48 slots of inventory space each, and you can spawn all 6 ships on any planet youre on, in front of you, and dig through their inventory. You can also store items in your capital ships inventory slots, create different types of storage crates in it, and also on your bases.
    Traveling between your bases and space stations youve visited takes seconds using teleport modules.
    You can have different types of vehicles to use for traveling on any planet surface, where you dont have to worry about taking hazardous atmospheric damage, equipped with a scanner, weapon, and mining laser (it does require fueling every so often, but that resource is abundant on every planet except desolate ones).
    Other than that, i play warframe, waiting 1hr 30 min for research is no big deal considering it takes 4 days to craft a warframe and 6 to 24 hrs to craft a weapon lol.
    I do agree that the constant resource dependency in NMS is a bit too much... that needs to be toned down a bit. Nevertheless, as you progress through the game youll find plenty of storage options, and your need for resources will decrease to a few essential ones.
    Enjoy.
