    Great multi repair video. I picked up a 95 V 6 T Top yesterday, both power windows don't work, so glad to see an all in one video from taking the door panels off to replacing motor. Thanks for sharing.

    The plastic on those door lock/window switch bezels are cheaper than dollar store squirt guns! Nice work on the window motor CS! 😎👍

      hahaha, Ive cracked a few of those in my day so I know the carefull ways around it. That cheap plastic dash pad is the one that im worried about.

      Chemical Spore yes, the dash pads are crap plastic for sure!

    Ive done it by removing the rivets for the whole regulator. The regulator rivets are steel and dont drill out well but this way seems like a good option without the need for any glass adjustments!

      It sucked that the 12 tooth motor didnt work, that one was an ac delco that I have to send back. I had to get a piece of crap dorman that i might have to replace in a year lol

    Great video. There is another way but even more of a pain. It involves removing the whole glass, track and all.......So the holes are the best option. And done right they look like factory. I am fixing to pull my stereo out and check everything. I have started getting a pop in my factory Bose sub (which normally means the factory amp is going out) and once in a while I get feedback/static in my front speakers. So I am pulling everything and checking all connections, wiring and all. YAY what fun.....

      It is funny that you mention the stereo I am actually replacing all my speakers right now which there will be a video on that probably tomorrow and you better make a video on what you're doing

    6:17 couldn't you have cut old harness off that speaker and spliced into new speaker? That would let you use factory hookups without buying new harness. 11:30 I'd have just reused old one.

    What did u use to secure motor with since you removed rivets?

    • @chemicalspore
      @chemicalspore  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bolts and nuts that came with the motor

  • @yaboyscottay
    @yaboyscottay 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    No idea if you’ll see this anytime soon…. But thank you for this video, seriously helped me out. Only thing is, how did you remount the motor? Drilling out the rivets leaves a lack of mount… so I figure bolts and nuts will work just to hold it in place but let me know what you used please! Thanks again for a very helpful video

    • @chemicalspore
      @chemicalspore  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I drilled out the rivets and used nut and bolts to put it back in place. Will make it easier the next time these damn motors go out. I am glad this helped. I enjoy making this videos. Than you for taking the time to watch

      @@chemicalspore Of course! Thanks for making the video for us. Also, it was only after I commented that I found out my window motor came with nuts and bolts of its own... I had already search my random ones in my toolboxes and installed it when I looked into the box and found the new and packaged ones that came with the motor... hahaha. Oh well, my motor works great now so it doesn't matter.

    • @chemicalspore
      @chemicalspore  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Heck yeah man. Next time you have to do it, it will be easier. No more drilling.

    • @chemicalspore
      @chemicalspore  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can actually change out the whole assembly, it comes with a different style motor. I would attempt it if I had assurance that it would last longer.
