    Dr. Mandell,
I cannot thank you enough my friend. After 7 years of fibromyalgia hell which developed after a car crash I had in 2015, I am finally shedding the last few bits of it's evil wrath. I had ignored all symptoms and was in complete denial for the last few years, but working long hours in finance in your mid 20s can destroy you. I am now 33 and being so positive instead of wanting the years back, and that's my final indicator that I have kicked it to the curb. No more panic attacks and thinking all of the small things are huge. I had every symptom plus many more. As more time went on, I developed a shoulder impingement, and my SI joint became displaced. Trigger fingers in both hands and extreme tightness everywhere. Awful sinuses and terrible nasal pain, extreme tooth aches, lack of hunger, diarrhea, vomiting, hemmerhoids, bunions ingrown toenails, TMJ, closed throat, forward head posture irregular breathing, excruciating headaches almost daily, neck aches, reduced socialness and always grouchy for no reason. Made excuses for not being able to go somewhere and then stayed at home alone and lay around which just caused more pain. would stretch and stretch but no relief. I had watched almost all of your videos for other posture related and breathing issues and they were all a great help. Step by step I worked on all that I could. The worst part of all of this was I could barely breathe and I was always dizzy. Thought I almost died from choking on water and occasionally vomit since I could not stomach much. The worse part of this was breathing and I realized that the key to beating all of this was to first wake the diaphragm back up since it is attached to many of the large muscle groups. I figured this out a few weeks ago at the tail end of my 4 month journey to fight it. Then the AMAZING days started happening. More energy and less negativity it's all amazing. Can't believe how long I've been suffocating my body but now I'm seeing hearing tasting feeling life in 4K! It's a dream! The more I watched your videos and the more I worked on blow strength especially the healthier I got and the taller I stood. I'm still getting a little taller today at the tail end of it's defeat! Life was so dark looking back now and it's so amazing to just be alive! Would love to talk to you further about this if you ever have time. I feel like I have defied the odds and can now do anything I want in life! I feel wiser and stronger than ever and it happens so fast, u just need to FIGHT HARD! For anyone else suffering out there, make sure u work the diaphragm. It's A BIG step to help loosen everything else up. Then hit those trigger points and keep breathing! The points should start tightening a lot slower after you've stretched them out post diaphragm work. Hold good posture as much as you can and blow out while stretching or working trigger points with your fingers. I quit my job in December, worked on this every single day. In the beginning it was so hard and spent every bit of energy I had which was not much. Even if I did one exercise and was exhausted I made myself fight to do another and another. Make yourself put beating this first before anything. It's extremely hard and emotional but YOU CAN DO IT! THIS AWFUL SYNDROME IS BEATABLE! Just because most people don't beat it, don't believe anyone out there that says it's not beatable! I didn't know I had fibromyalgia until about a week ago, maybe it's good that I didn't because most say there isn't a cure. Then I found Dr mandell and he helped save my life. I knew that physical activity would save my life. I didn't want to lose my girlfriend and thank God she hung in there with me while I was losing my mind and body. Now I have so much energy and I feel amazing! Breathing is beautiful! Can't stop loving everything and my new life! Thank you again Dr. Mandell! With your help I have built my health education in a huge way and I'm so excited for a new healthy future! EVERYONE, LIFE IS A GIFT, don't ever stop fighting to keep that gift as healthy and happy as possible!!!!!!

Yea, they never believe it until they actually get it and they cannot understand it. We hear all of this advice from people who don't even have it. I have found others who do have it and have managed to live with it. They share their daily routines and I've learned many ways to help myself but it NEVER goes away...NEVER.

@@SometimeAgo65 according to this info, you can't just get it like a disease. It is a syndrome. Let's say you have a chronic pain from something for a long time and it affects your entire body and brain. Every injury or micro trauma in your body creates some kind of inflommation. So according to that your body is unable to handle it due the constant stress and cortisone level. So you may be cured if you treat the thing what is causing it, how that happened. In other theory again, your brain itself caused it

@@ansaksa Yes, they have several different theories out there in the medical world. None are proven, nothing has cured mine but it could be because of my medical team. They're not what I would call specialists on Fibromyalgia Syndrome.

Thank you for spending your precious time to speak out about this condition and help the sufferers. 🙏 Most doctors are just not educated enough and aren’t bothered in finding out. It took me about 7-8 years of pain and surmising from doctors before I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. It’s diabolical.
Years ago doctors became doctors as they felt they had a calling. They don’t have time for women that are waiting for a diagnosis or struggling through the menopause either. Thank you again. You’re a very kind soul. ❤️🙏🥰 From an Irish ☘️ woman in England xxx

I was diagnosed in 1992, at the same time, same doctor said I have Hypothyroidism, started me on synthroid...I can tell when its going to rain...as soon as it starts coming down, I feel relief...
I'm on the vicious pain/fatigue cycle for years. But, when I feel good, get outta my way, I'll spend all that good time cleaning and catching up till the cycle starts again...I can't get going in the morning until I shower in hot water and stretch...massage does help, finding someone who knows how, is hard. Thank you for a informative video👍

I have CFS and fibromyalgia and Epstein barr and I have every symptom on your list and I must commend you because you are on point on every detail about this painful dissorder. Wish I knew about this 35years ago. Thanks for your work and for finally announcing to the world that this is very real and we're not crazy about how we feel. The worst feeling is when you explain your symptom and they think it petty or overboard. And yes , anyone would lead themselves to depression especially when the many physicians out there think you making it up. If only they were in my shoes so they can experience it even one day then it would be worth every pain we go through. Hope many drs pay more attention to us.

43 years of fibromyalgia here! I am now 64 years old. Still don't have a Dr that knows how to tell me what I need to do. I have researched and researched. At one time they seemed to think that a lot of people developed this after having a severe flu (in which I did). I am on gabapentin, cymbalta, I want to throw it all out! I have emphysema, degenerative disc disease, high blood pressure. Going to start on the AVC! I have to take a replacement thyroid medication everyday. I have learned more from research than any dr.

You have provided me with hope. I dislike my doctor a lot, she says I have fibromyalgia, but I seriously disagree. Whatever I tell her, it circles back to fibromyalgia. For example, prior to Jan 25, 2019, I never experienced sharp pains in my wrist, thumbs are sore, neck and shoulder fatigue, overall spasms, and temperature discomfort, meaning the room can be a steady temperature but suddenly I am cold, or warm or even hot. I was T boned on Jan 25. I have 2 bulges in my neck. So as I told my doc about these things as a result of the car accident, she says let's look at the facts, you have fibromyalgia.
So I decided that now I will do my own treatments, based off herbal medicine, and supplements.

Unfortunately you can develope fibromyalgia from having an accident! Iv been a sufferer for around 30years and have experienced all your symptoms! At the start of mine I didn't believe I had it either and thought its just a blip and I will be back to work running my business as usual but no I only got worse. I'm really sad for you my friend but I do think too that you have fibromyalgia. If you need to vent or just talk about your symptoms with someone who knows and understands what your going through I'm here for you. Any time! It's a lonely depressing existence 😔 sending you gentle hugs and much love from me Nikkie xx

There are two problems, first doctors are not willing to spend time with the patient and be advisable on alternative ways, for certain conditions, and secondly patients want the magical pill that cures everything and they can continue their unhealthy lifestyle.

Lyme Disease is a huge cause of fibromyalgia, fibromyalgia is list of symptoms not the cause. Lyme causes a vast list of symptoms. When doctors get tired of looking for the cause they say you have fibromyalgia. This is not a diagnosis, this is a group of symptoms and they have a bunch of expensive and worthless drugs for you. Kathleen Gustafson Lyme disease or EDS can be the cause of fibromyalgia. Doctors give a wrong diagnosis, as you said.
EDS, Ehler-Danlos syndrome, is a genetical disease/syndrome which causes collagen to be not normal. One can look for information on TH-cam. Some TH-camrs who have EDS explain it very well. Hope this can help someone to get the right diagnosis and some helpful treatment.

hi dr mandell I have followed your advice on magnesium citrate with k2 and high dose vit d for 3 wks and want to say a big grateful thankyou because for the first time in years I feel great, wonderful, fabulous and happy. I have /had ;) ibs,cpd,cfs,..me/cfs, fibromyalgia, copd diagnosis from gp s consultants rhumatologists you name it, I was ran down by a car at 16 and then became a hairdresser, after 20 yrs hairdressing and barbering I developed, repetative strain, thoratic outlet syndrome, cervical spondilitus, dequrvin synovitis, bursitis, frozen shoulder, neck displacement, frozen neck and auto immune disease, for 2 years unable walk or to function I felt so much pain and illness that I looked into the protocol for dignitas in Switzerland. That was then, this is now.... I have completely changed my life and I have to show my gratitude to you and your unknown part in my recovery your videos have had on my pain levels your stretching and nerve manipulation videos coupled with posture exercise and awareness have changed my mobility and has greatly improved pain levels your suppliment advice and self education resourses coupled with my own independant research has given me energy, immunity, strength, motivation, mobility and im in control and winning...I'm kicking fibromyalgia s ass I'm shareing to let the other sufferers know you can do it if you commit to research, dicipline and change and most importantly have hope. I learnt from a retired anethiesist turned homeopath! that anesetics contain heavy metals that stay in the body 20+ years so do vaccines. then for me 20+ years of heavy chemical contact with perms, colours, sprays. I live in the countryside surrounded by fields but not necessarily healthy as much exposure to pesticides and heavy ammonia from intensive chicken farms, as kids we played jumping over the sheep dips! and broke thermometers and handled the mercury! stupid kids we were.
I discovered me/cfs patients have detoxification issues in illiminating toxins. I illiminated metals (sole, spirulena, kelp, matcha tea). I illiminated any chance of parasites (damaceous earth. I fed my immune system and mitrochondria with macro nutrients ( I spent a year juicing breakfast and lunch adding anti inflammatory ginger and turmeric and normal meal for tea) now I juice occasionally or when I feel a flare is near I followed dr mandell videos for physio, I do 10 symbols of longetivity qigong morning and night as this is movement meditation, physio, healing and wisdom all wrapped into 1. The most effective key to reducing inflammation for me was going gluten free this got rid of anxiety depression and ibs. stomach pains and burning ide gotten so used to I only realised how bad when my midriff became flat unbloated and at ease. Dr Mandell s suppliment info is amazing Magnesium saved my life truly, no more beta blockers, anatriptalyn, diazipam, no naproxin ( this caused stomached bleeds in my partner after being on them for spinal surgery) no anti depressants just magnesium, k2, and vit d3 taken with gluten free multi seed bread, coconut oil, and honey in the morning I take hawthorn berrie suppliment for circulation turmeric capsules 400 mg for inflammation 1000mg vit c, Coq10 200mg for brain fog and mitrochondria health, zinc 15 mg, eat omega rich and vit b rich foods, macca powder stirred into porridge or capsules some days cocao powder capsules for feel good happy zone :) I'm no expert but wanted to share my gratitude to dr mandell and share hope because I never thought a 1 feel good day would ever be possible I've had a few feel good weeks now and learning and adding to this new concious awareness of listening to my body my spirit and soul and following gods good guidance of health and happiness that is ever ones birth right. I made a plea to god to help me and show me the way and he has shown me if you choose there too is nothing he cannot heal through us within us and around us if we just ask. The right guidance just turns up and smacks us in the face through his helpers such as Dr mandell thankyou x

Magnesium Malate alone turned my health around. I live a good life now and it's been a few years since I've been "cured". Don't wait for the doctors to figure it out. I waited two decades and it gets progressively worse (though slowly) the longer you wait. Now I'm just getting the posture thing right because I do so much desk work... good information, Dr. Mandell. Hopefully people will take some of your advice.
Only thing I will add, if you goes the Magnesium route, start slow and go with something like malate/chelated that will absorb better. Epsom salts are your friend. Of course, many people with fibro are familiar with hot salt bathes. The reason it works is because of Magnesium. You can get a magnesium spray (basically epsom salt dissolved), and supposedly through skin is the fastest way to get the Magnesium into your muscle. You can take supplements, but it will take a few months. In my case, I had super loose bowels in the beginning that made me feel quite ill, but I adjusted by starting slower... I ended up taking 1275mg/daily, sometimes more to get to where I needed to be. My body could not have enough... then months down the line, I started to feel better and noticed my bowels were looser (the telltale green-ish stools). I guess my system had finally had enough... all I can say is be your own advocate, be careful when starting anything new. Keep everything (including diet) as consistent as possible so you can track any changes.

Ham AlA My story......I suffered with pain all over my body from my eyelids to my toes.....some of my complaints were flu-like symptoms, burning and tingling in my nerves, feeling as though I had been poisoned, extreme stiffness in my joints, and many more symptoms. I was in a doctor's office at least every other week. After seeing numerous doctors, ER visits, blood work, and X-rays, the answer was always we don't know what is causing your pain or either fibromyalgia. My last hope was the Rheumatologist, after his examination, and more testing, his answer was the same as my primary doctor's.... fibromyalgia. After getting extremely sick one evening(although always in pain, there were days when it was unbearable) I decided to google "what makes fibromyalgia symptoms worse?"....An article called "The Top Ten Food Allergies" popped up. I eliminated every one of them, eating no processed foods at all, because I wanted to control the ingredients; within one week, the symptoms were gone. Now I had to slowly introduce them back into my system one at a time. I started with eggs, no response, then I had a piece of cake at a birthday party, the next morning I was in soooo much pain, even more so than before. I could hardly walk because of severe stiffness in my back and my legs; I had to take a week of work, and walk with a cane. That's how I found out I had a gluten intolerance. I had several flare ups in the first year of finding out, because of either cross contamination, or because of using a product that contained gluten(wheat),example beauty products, but 3 1/2 years later I still feel great!! Basically it was the extreme inflammation all over my body that was causing the pain. When I told my primary doctor this three years ago, he said no way, food could not be the source of my pain, however recently I went to see him because of flu like symptoms, he asked if I had eaten any gluten??? Hmm, looks like someone has been educated in the last three years!! His speculations were actually correct...cross contamination at a local deli. Live and learn. Lol.
Although not nearly as severe as the gluten intolerance, I do also have some reactions to other foods like dairy and onions, which can cause eczema, heartburn, or a stomachache, so I now follow a low FODMAP diet given to me by my gastroenterologist. I had to learn the hard way, but to anyone else out there who is still suffering, I would suggest going to a doctor who specializes in functional medicine to get tested for food allergies or intolerances. I'm 48 and feel better than I did at 30!

I'm one of the rare people that have had it most my life. Just because I have a bad pain day, doesn't necessarily make for a bad day. I have been watching what I eat, staying active and luv the sun for countering my physical pain by the actual warmth or vitamin D. I've taken all the right foods at the right times and stayed (till just lately) fit, meditate. Being not diagnose with fibromyalgia was not what I wanted. So there are still days where it hurts too much, then I'm hungover from the battle. I have a full life and have a rich life!

Dr Doctor you are correct in so many ways and the advice you have given I have used to good effect. I have suffered from fibromyalgia for 26 years and the main cause is stress and having a conscions. And today I have had the worst day in my life the pain is terrible. It does kill you if not physically it does mentally my life has stopped from the day I began this awful fibromyalgia. I have a very narcassitic 95 year old parent who I love dearly but after my visits the fibromyalgia starts up and try as I might I can’t stop it.my eyes are affected they hurt and are extremely dry. People say withdraw from the narcassit but when you are the only family they have and they are old and on their own what can you do but support them. I write this just in case someone else is going through the same as myself.

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia 15 years ago. I've never really accepted that diagnosis. I had a neck injury, (a result from a dentist). Doctors won't listen to me. Ever since that incident my health has declined. I am vegetarian, don't drink much alcohol except maybe at Christmas and only a glass of wine as I don't have the taste for it. I meditate, practice Qigong, with Lohan patting and take vitamin supplements as well. I do also have osteoarthritis which doesn't cause as much of a problem as my neck thing. Many women I know have problems with their neck. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE could you do some research into the effects of NECK & SPINE injuries and how many people have that in common who have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. Thank you. My hands hurt my two thumbs at the top of both of them i cant hold my mobile phone it hurts like mad hands free is what i have to do. This illness takes over every inch of your daily life. But i am keeping grounded. And i will not silence myself because its real and i want to share my story and help others and the same time i want to hear from other suffers. We are all gods people. We should live a good life a happy life because that is what god intended for all of us all over the world. I am so tired of all the illnesses that are harming good and beautiful human beings. I lack d and i try to eat healthy. But today prices of food drink everything cost. The rich shall be rich and the poor shall be poorer. Its the truth the poor people are the ones that feel it in this life. We all should live comfortable. We all should be able to buy proper food so we are healthy. But it does not always work that way. Life has too much pressure on people. God bless you and please find a cure for all the people all over the world thats in the struggle for their health with chronic pains and all the other illnesses pray for you all.

He believes in preventing disease and treating the cause rather than the symptoms. Western medicine treats the symptoms, not the cause. He’s basically saying it’s a bunch of symptoms related to a shit storm going off in your body. If you don’t take care of your body, FMS is worse or these “symptoms” are your bodies way of telling you to treat it better. Fibro is kind of a dump diagnosis imo. Oh you’re in pain, tired, but it doesn’t show up on any tests well... we don’t know what you have... oh you have FMS ...and btw we can’t help you. Nobody has helped me with it except me. My doc just wants to give me meds. I was the one that told him all the supplements I take and how much they help. Also paying attention to what foods set it off. It still sucks though. Jennifer Clayton I refuse to let someone tell me it’s in my head! I know depression can bring on physical ailments but I don’t believe fibromyalgia is in your head. Everyone in the world has been traumatized one way or another. The whole world would have it. More and more doctors are finding a link between Fibromyalgia and Epstein Barr Virus. Have you ever had mono? Chicken pox? Shingles? Herpes of any type? Then that virus is in your body still and just went dormant. Something like a car accident jolts the nervous system and triggers the virus again, it comes back as fibro. Start googling Epstein Barr Virus and fibromyalgia.

Mine too, too much trauma. 1. His abuse, 2. The screwed up surgery then 3. The calls to kill me post op. Any kind of stress will send me into one big flare. The best i found to do. Vitamin D, DRibose, sun, and working out what i can bcuz the surgeon cut my nerve in my neck.
They have found links that fibro can be genetic. They are also saying it's a nerve issue and and we don't make dopamine just like ADHD ppl. I don't agree with the lady that says it's benzos. She must've had a traumatic event to start it off and fell down a rabbit hole with MD's and meds. Not all of fibro patients take drugs. My cousins have it and don't take meds. That's 3 women in the family with it. Tell me it can't be possiblity a genetic issue.

Thank you so much Doc, this has been really really helpful and useful too. My daughter suffers very badly with Fibromyalgia and I’ve asked her to watch this. I've been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue
I believe with my research that this condition is caused by the damage of the mitochondria. From years of eating high carb diets. Damage to the mitochondria leads to malfunction of all the cells. Hence the pain, fatigue, and inflammation.
I do know that a low carb high fat diet helps me to feel better and especially sleep better. Thanks for sharing

I was diagnosed with fibromygia few years back I've told doctors a thousand times its not just that but they never listen I sed it might be that to I don't know but u need to stop saying it fibromygia for every pain and every symptoms. Some doctors always blame that no matter wat .I've sed I'm very breathless very weak in alot of pain with my chest arm and leg and blue lips and bad light headedness an all I ever hear is fibromygia and anxiety. I sed I'm having pancreas pain they say ur not I say I've had pancreas problems before which I had to diagnosed myself and was confirmed by consultant. Comes to something wen u have to diagnose urself some doctors need to go bk to college and actually listen and learn and also come away with a nice and caring personality! Great video thanks for uploading such great and helpful video ❤

I was diagnosed 20+ years ago. The one thing that is helpful is ultrasound therapy. Pain is minimized or gone for 24 to 48 hrs. This is too expensive for me. Also doing trigger point on myself is helpful.

I am a nurse with fibromyalgia! It's been 7 years living with it! The best help I hit is the one I found for myself! I foundroutines that work for me! But meditation, working on my own traumas, stress control, managing activities, knowing when I need to sit down and rest, 3:49 eating better, walking

I've only just started to follow you but you make so much sense in all of your videos. So thank you. I've just listened about fibromyalgia and hoping the same applies to polymialgia. I'm also going to have a look at how much magnesium to take. Once again thank you

it is stress. I have been in stress rehab for 8 weeks and stress levels are reduced and digestive problems also. We had neurosomatic exercises. meditation and breathing techniques. You won't get it solved by what you put in the mouth alone.

I don't know how to go gluten free, I'm trying to learn how to eat a diabetic diet. I need both, but it takes money to change everything in my kitchen. I'm going to try through because I'm tired of this fibromyalgia, lupus and neuropathy pain. Thanks for the tip on neuropathy healing and the (alpha lipoic acid supplement), it's been a life changer Dr. M.

It is directly related to blood sugar (insulin) and damaged mitochondria.
    IV vitamin there can help.
Methylene Blue glutathione as well, but you need other minerals with glutathione to maximize absorption and efficiency

I had this for decades, doctors said it was in my head...hormones are also a big part I believe. Despite doing everything and more to get rid of this I only ever managed to get 6 month's of serious improvement before it came back. I'm not the type to give up ut it's seriously challenging.
