SPEED RUN! Thanks for the shout-out brotha! Nice work man that was fast, especially since you were still explaining everything as you went along! Another free mod you can do is move the internal fans to the outside for better airflow down the middle. I might take my fan off the heatsink, my chip temps were actually getting too cool. Might switch to push pull method to cool off the power stages more and let the chips warm up a bit.

I have one comm edition oc'ed to 280GH/s just with the side plates off not other mods running nice and cool, with a MSI 230W 19.5V psu barrel plug not even hot.

You should move the internal fans to the outside to make more room for airflow.
My OC Setting is
Clock Offset 300 MHz
Voltage Offset 20 mV
320GH/s
runs stable
I have mine running anywhere from 300-320 GH on those cables. So far they're holding up good but I don't want to push beyond that. Also to help with the temps I pulled the small stock fans out and put them on the outside of the miner. Helps with airflow

Blowing fan on barrel plug will NOT save the barrel plug still if using a server psu with overclocking! I melted a brand new barrel plug in less than 12hrs running 320 gig on it

You can use cctv 24v power supply 20 amps, the power supply can be adjust from 19.5v to 24v. I've run the ks0pro at 340ghs safely have a good temperature using a chase with 4pcs 90mm fan. San the body of the ks0pro use as heatsink

I do wonder about the self adhesive on the back of the heat sinks. I was informed that using actual thermal glue can save a few Cs in heat.
Rather too much thermal paste, than too little. As long as it's not electrically conductive.
tell me 12volts vs 19volts which one more stable?
19v because you can can pull higher watts before you hit the maximum Amps the barrel port is rated for. Amps equals Watts divided by Volts. At 12v you max out the plug at only 120w. Overclocking you can easily exceed 170w.
@@MyLibertyTV yes true im using psu with 20v , but the specs work from 19-20v , if we go overclock with 12v , i think it would damage the board

120w at 12v and you are already at the 10Amp limit of the barrel port.
He knows that, but he's hoping with the fan blowing across the barrel jack/plug, that it will help keep it cool enough for it to not kill off the barrel jack when overclocked.

What are those shiny metal rectangles all over the hashboard?
I think they are heat spreaders. I've opened a few units and some have odd holes in them, like they were cutoff scrap.
I dont understand the point of all these little fans vs one large fan connected to all the miners with ducting, there is no air filtration or sound suppression either. For this amount of work you could truly make something special. This is repetitive busy work. I feel like one large fan would use less electric as well, especially if you over engineered the large 😅fan and turned it down to 50-80%. Someone please educate me on the fallacy of my logic.
