Were there many people staying there when you were there? The fish meal you ate is to die for. Another stand out video with great music from the master. In my village the back of the house is the beach and that’s the rubbish dump, the front of the house is the road on the inland side. Beach was filthy when I arrived on the scene, I cleaned my beach then everybody came to sit on my beach because it was clean, they would leave their rubbish behind. We have very different ideas about rubbish, ten years later I am still picking up broken glass along the beach😢.

Anyone happen to know who sings the last/closing song of the video? My shazam app couldn't find it. I listened to the lyrics and typed them into google bard and it told me it's a song by Claire Rosinkranz "Come along with me" released by her as a single back in 2020. I looked her up on youtube and it definitely didn't look to be her style along with not finding any video from her titled "come along with me."

Nice meal of fish, that is some really big chunks of filets and nice tempura batter fried, makes my mouth water, Your killing me Todd haha. What a nice location and a really nice suit to sleep in with a real toilet, not a squater pooper. The people were nice everywhere you went at this location. I just love some of the designs of the homes on stilts, they have the real Asian style feel to them. I still love the temples in so many villages. My apologies, but China needs to stop land grabbing from these little countries like Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam. they are funding the takeover of Myanmar and the civil war in that country. I am proud of the Lao people who told them no, because it is such a beautiful place, and they are raising cows which is really nice for the people with their little farms along the river. Mina seems to just love being around you both and I have to see how you both became her new parents, but so glad you have a little one to raise with great morals and respect and she will be well educated and I know she is loved as Nenee is always so young playing with Mina and Mina has you as a great father figure, love you all, your great parents and so kind and understanding to everyone you meet, what a blessing. I agree that cleaning up the trash is a health important issue. They need to clean and teach the children to not just throw trash on the ground. Set up cans or pits to burn the trash and everyone will start to follow and ingrain it into their lives. It is such a lovely place and the trash is just a sad sight, but most don't have trash disposal locations, that is why pits or drums can burn the trash when it is full, it all starts with education. thank you once again for another nice town to visit and the music is once again great, Chris Issak I don't want to fall in love is a great tune. I am happy to be back and enjoying your company since we are the same age and I would so love to throw back a few suds with you and talk about our lives, I think we would have an amazing conversation. I am not giving up yet Todd, one day mate, I hope to meet face to face. 😉❣I hope you find that old red shit with the yellow star you are looking for. God bless and stay safe on your travels, oh, and by the way I really like your new ride, you can now drive through low rivers and not stall out. Moving up in the world mate. Have a nice frosty for me and stay frosty mate while enjoying your life I have always wanted. Blessings and love from the frozen tundra of North Dakota USA my good friends. Peace be with you my brother from down under✌🙏✝

I read that the Mekong is one of the ten rivers that are the source for 90% of the land based plastics that end up in the ocean. Most people don't have a good option for disposal. Much of the plastic is just burned. We both like the live and let live attitude of Lao but Lao are not going to say 'Hey buddy, pick up your trash.' I have avoided going to 4,000 Islands because I don't like the backpacker environment. You have shown me that there are other ways. Lao should appoint you and Neenee TH-cam ambassadors for Lao!

you are a very good person and you help poor people in Laos a lot, you do this not only with words, but also with deeds...
many of your videos are wonderful and I watch with pleasure....but please don’t politicize the title of that video “China Wanted Laos' Largest Island...”
you apparently don’t know there will be bad consequences for Laos because of such a name...
I have absolutely no doubt that you love Laos just like Australia, just like I love Laos, because I myself am Laotian, my parents are Laotians and my great-grandmothers and great-grandfathers are all Laotians...
because any war begins with incitement to hate each other between countries...and they are easily promoted by incitement to hate each other between countries using TH-cam or Facebook, especially with neighboring countries...and war, as you know, means poverty and destruction in a country like 50-100 years ago...therefore, there is no need to incite hatred between countries, especially neighboring countries, because any import and export begins with a neighboring country, and not with a country 1000 km from it...I have seen a lot of many Laotian bloggers and foreign bloggers who do not understand the consequences, as for example they say when the Mekong is dried up or flooded, they always blame China...and they don’t need their reasons, they just know that the Mekong River begins with China and therefore China is to blame, etc...Yes, the Mekong starts from China, but there are only very small parts of them, and there is no platinum in it... and the main platinum is located in Laos (Laos is called the ASEAN battery country and now has more than 70 platinum), but no one says this...Yes, the war in Ukraine was not a year ago.... it started a long time ago 20 years ago and it begins with inciting hatred of each other between Ukrainians and Russians with the help of television channels, TH-cam and Facebook...if anyone thinks that Ukraine is an independent country, then you are mistaken, Ukraine has long been a colony of America, they are not ruled by the presidents of Ukraine, but by the American embassy in Ukraine...and the war in Ukraine is not a war between Ukraine and Russia, but a war between NATO (the American leadership) and Russia, and Ukraine is only land and human resources that America uses to fight Russia and nothing more...

Read The Budapest Memorandum 1994 before you post opinion on something you obviously do not know anything about! Ukraine was the 3rd biggest nuclear power after 1991. 1994 Us,France,England and Germany signed a pledge to protect and aid Ukraine if they sent their nukes to Russia. Now that pledge is due!

@@rubennilsson5416 I’m not saying that we should hate Americans, Europeans, blacks, whites, Chinese, etc... but on the contrary, we should not incite hatred of each other...people have nothing to do with it, but their government, where America’s feet are, there is war and destruction in the country...Laos was also a neutral state, but America bombed Laos more than any country in the world, but no one knows, because they don’t need it, and only after 30-40 years, people in the world know about it (through the museum in Vientiane).. .Yes, you won’t see the truth on TH-cam, Facebook about the war in Ukraine, about China... because TH-cam, Facebook belong to America and 95% of the videos about the war in Ukraine and about China are lies from the West and any channel or bloggers who are trying to convey the truth to people, they will book...
you see, first they block a channel that has more than a million subscribers, and then 100,000 subscriptions, and now they block more than 10,000 subscriptions if that channel is trying to convey the truth about Russia or China (perhaps many do not know that there is no TH-cam in China)....China and Russia are the main enemy for America, because these countries can prevent America from dominating the earth... Ukraine is like a springboard for America against Russia, like Taiwan for China, Pakistan for India....Do you think that Russia is an occupier for Ukraine? no, Russia is only defending itself....Ukraine has long been under America’s control and they would still attack Russia, and Russia would only attack first, before they attack Russia...the occupier would not have been given a passport and in all equal Russians, the occupied would not have built houses for free for you and many others...

Great vlog as always Todd. Good for the people of that village refusing to let the Chinese take over...............for now! Sadly, Laos and to some extent Thailand are part owned by China due to the amount of debt they are in to China. It is only a matter of time until China try to recall that debt and upon non payment they move in. About rubbish, I don't know what the answer is. Thailand made some effort to curb the use of plastic bags on one day a week, and most supermarkets now sell you bags for 1 baht, if you need them, but street traders totally ignore any government instructions, and as there are no sanctions the rubbish mounts up. However, their are "Wombles" who rummage through the discarded rubbish and recycle plastic bottles, cardboard, glass etc. and make a living out of rubbish. This BIG WET series is amazing. Thank you and God bless you all 😀❤🙏
