8:42 i think the word you were searching for is Diaspora 11:18 jews do have a prophets the main of which is Moses but there were also Samuel (Shmu'el), Jonah (Yona) and more. 14:23 the rumours that jews were responsible for the black plague was because jews had low infection\mortality rate from the plague was later discovered was due to a Jewish religious ceremony (נטילת ידיים) which basically orders you to wash your hands before you eat doing a little prayer.
Woah his dates are off. The second Temple was built after the exile, the Temple of Solomon was built around 957. The Second Temple was replaced the by the Third Temple (the Temple of Herod) which was destroyed in 70 AD by the Romans.
Herod's temple, fyi, is still considered to be part of the second temple period. For example, when we talk about Judaism during this period it is still referred to as "second temple Judaism". The reason being is that after the temple was rebuilt after the exile, it never ceased functioning until 70AD, when the Romans would destroy the temple.
@@ArdensSedVirens1 After Crassus plundered it, it was damaged and rebuilt by Herod, which is why it from my reading of the Bible was considered the third Temple.
@@Nanashicae I'm sorry, but are you just not capable of reading? No one denies Herod's renovation and expansion of the temple, what I'm explaining to you is that the temple was still functional, and still being used. It was not laid waste as it after the Babylonians destroyed Solomon's Temple or the Romans destroyed the Second Temple. That is why it is considered to still be part of the second temple period. You can even look up the term "second temple Judaism" and you'll see it covers the period from 516BC to 70AD. No idea why you're arguing this hard instead of just admitting that was something you didn't know. There is just no one that calls it the "third temple" post-Herod's renovations.
Hi, thank you for bringing some overseen (meaning me) topics to my attention.... Peace is the ultimate goal (lack of anxiety) Thanks! Anything on Ethiopian history corrections👍 ? Thanks
A bit late and you will probably not read this but if you want to know more about the Assyrian empire then there are several good videos. Fall of civilizations has a good video on that but it's like 3 hours long so it might be to much, History time has an hour long video on it also which is very good so that might be better or if you want a shorter video then Epimetheus has an 11 minute video which sumerizes the whole history of assyrian empire pretty well. There are others of course but these are some exempels.
