Hey Jabo I have a idea for a video can you beat fallout new Vegas as Legate Lanius use console commands and get his weapon and armor and increase your height and great video as always
Tip for future runs - if you're in an area that's neutral to you but will turn hostile (aka, enemies spawn or you attack someone) drop mines in choke points first. They should only go off when an enemy steps on them, so you can set up a kill zone in advance. Makes things a lot easier, and also explosions are a good warning of where enemies are coming from.
I never tried that in fallout 4 because if i remember correctly in fallout 3 and new vegas mines were indiscriminate just like real mines and they would go off no matter who stepped on them, i remember trying to do kill everyone runs in those games but i would die a lot just trying to set up mines in the area because obviously you wanna put them somewhere they'll get stepped on but they can't get stepped on till you're ready so i would go at night when there's less people walking around then plan out in advance the placement of every mine then run around as fast as i could placing them and when i was done wait till morning then start blasting and watch as half of megatons citizens explode around you leaving only a few survivors to gun down
additional tip on that. so long has you can one shot someone and do it hidden enough while using a silencer no one will care that someone just died. i did this in nuka world to thin out the "herd" before the open massacre. i ended up killing the majority of the gangs this way before any of them turned hostile. might not be possible for named npc though.
I tried to immediately do Nuka World at level one recently and even leveling up it was insanely difficult, Jabo has more fortitude to keep trying than anyone ive ever seen
I love playing survival for the first 10-15 levels. After that it just feels no different than very hard difficulty. I loved the AP bar at the Nucleus by the way 😂
TBH I think it gets harder as you go on - or at least more tedious. Having to run everywhere and bed hop makes some quests in the middle of nowhere much more challenging. Though once you're superpowered enough and ally with the Brotherhood getting around isn't so bad.
@@andromidius or the minutemen also works if you do their ending and kill the brotherhood with them they give you a captured vertibird. I stayed allied with the brotherhood in my minuteman play through up until that point so I had a vertibird the entire play through
@@andromidius on my most recent one I have 10 endurance and 7 agility, it makes getting around a lot quicker. I always nab the vertibird grenades but I think you find more interesting stuff when you run around and I like the pressure of having to find a bed. I came across a legendary enraged fog crawler the other day, without a save in a long time, it really made it more serious than just quick saving before the fight. I think if you could toggle fast travel to certain allied settlements it would take away some of the grind.
I personally can't play fallout 4 without survival mode. Regular mode is so boring with how bullet spongey the enemies are the how you can save scum around every corner
These titles keep getting more clincially insane. Next it will be completing fallout 4 while over encumbered at level -1 with all limbs broken and not allowed to use set legendary and its a no hit run and also only one life.
For Far Harbor, a quick way to do it is to immediately go to Acadia and speak to Kasumi, obtain Faraday's program and do the first 2 memories and nuke The Nucleus, which is what I think you did. And for Nuka-World, obtain a couple mini nukes
The Simulation levels where you unlock DiMA's memories feel more like something out of the "Hyperdimension Neptunia" franchise than a Fallout game. In fact, most Neptunia games actually have dungeons that look very similar to them. I found them to be the most frustrating part of FO4, especially the last one.
Literally right before watching this, I made the exact same mistake of jumping down the stairs in Acadia in power armor. Read "oof" from someone, then aggroed them all
Now it is mandatory for Jabo to fulfill his promise to silence whoever mention that. Wait 2 to 3 business days to receive your sentence This is a joke of course... unless.
I really do just love the sigh of relief and “she missed… she missed… she missed…” only to have a Molotov to the head not more than 4 seconds later. Absolutely amazing 😂
I'm so happy for the video, I missed all of the streams cause of school. Great video, Jabo! The work you've been putting in over the past few months is really showing
24:21 I believe it. My current playthrough, over level 70 so yeah I've come a long ways but this is how the start of my game tends to begin because I am HARDCORE for power armor. I used to never touch it because of a foolish belief that the ONLY fusion cores in the game were at those whirring generators and so if there's a finite amount AND they drain super quickly (because I sprinted everywhere which is more costly to fusion cores than merely jogging) then I'd rather not experiment with their benefits and become dependent on something that ultimately I would have to give up at some point. Turns out, nah, some vendors sell fusion cores and restock every few days, including level 3 weapon traders at settlements you own so you can even purchase fusion cores in your own damn settlements with the right perks, so yeah I was rather silly in my presumptions. Then I gave power armor a try, and learned about the benefits of power armor and the mods you can use for the different pieces... I was sold. Now, I don't leave a settlement WITHOUT power armor unless it's the start of the game and I'm leaving Sanctuary, pretty much. Clear the mole rat den, get the fusion core (and an MP40 from a mod which I still use at over level 70, handy but I don't think it's TOO over-powered), then head to the robotics scrap yard where there's that experimental Sentry bot where another core can be found in the chest, and then make my way to that crashed vertibird in a field with some radstags nearby. VERY close to that location is an underground fort where you can find the Abernathy locket. Get that power armor, and I arrive at Concord already in power armor every damn time. BUT... on the way to the scrap yard, there's an open area with a fire pit where 3 raiders are chilling with a dog. After that, there's a lookout with a mattress and I think an ammo can and/or a chem cooler. Once you enter that place, it triggers a raider and their dog returning to their home which you are basically in the midst of a B&E with. Well I can't say 'long story short,' so I won't claim such, but yeah... with either full health or ALMOST full health, on Survival difficulty, and wearing some armor... the dog killed me with one bite. Survival can suck, hard, for sure. But stuck at level 1? I really, seriously, have zero interest in EVER attempting that. I remember how often I used to die in Survival difficulty before I started using power armor and I DO NOT miss those days. Power armor is where it's at, practically a necessity in Survival difficulty. And get those calibration mods on your legs to boost your carry capacity by 50 weight, big win there.
Jabo, just found your channel a few days ago and binged a ton of videos last night while building some LEGO and you possess a chaotic existence of a unique caliber That being said, keep it up!
It's more painful not to see you level up then seeing the challenge Leveling up is such a satisfying thing that it's sad when you kill a bunch of enemies and not get rewarded
Good job doing the thing Jabo. I've done the level one Nuka world before and it really is a lot easier to do if you side with the raiders. Granted galactic zone and the nukalurk queen are still absolute cancer. For the Gunners at the transit station I brought the fat man from the robot disposal grounds (there is also 3 fusion cores there).
I think it would be really cool to do a run like this but cap the level at 5 or 10 so that you have to pick the most helpful perks for the rest of the game.
The easiest but longest way to wipe raider in Nuka World is by using The Deliverer. Do stealth kill, nobody will go for you. Remember the first rule of the disciples. Don't get caught.
I remember when I did my own challenge on fallout 4, it was "can I kill every raider in nuka world without agrovating them?", obviously once you kill one boss It agros all of them but take the raiders one by one and it's easy, It was actually the best time I've ever had and it made me fully use the park and learn everything, after about 5 days there was only 8 raiders left and all of them where named raiders
If you collect all the magazines and bobbleheads (not the special ones) you can sneak quite good and the magazine that buffs you when you have almost no caps is good too.
I would love a run where only your companions can do damage, but to make it possible you have the mod where you can have multiple companions following you. So by the end you'll have all of them by your side.
Spray and Pray is my go to when I do survival playthroughs because its an extremely under rated weapon and its one of the few guaranteed explosive legendaries
The best way to use both of those guns is to use the problem solver/splatter Cannon to dish out damage and take out who you can while using psycho jet or ultra jet. THEN use the spray and pray to finish off whoever did not die and deal damage to anyone else around them. Maybe it's the fact I grew up with Halo 2 on Legendary but every time you got insta-gibbed by a molotov or getting hit on the 2nd floor by the deathclaw it reminded me of my first time playing Survival difficulty and going to Corvega only to die instantly to a molotov and have to run back from Sanctuary.
