    Good solos by McGhee and Farlow but the compositions leave much to desire.

    Talk about P U R I T Y & p u r r - f e c t i o n in inner contemplation. An ode, let s say, to the ending of the war in Korea, 1 month apres, in Pamunjom. . . Or Spleen de Paris par Baudelaire ..in another way, the same context, though separate & diff. Paradoxically so, life, music or art is nevuhhh as detrimentally divine as with sessions such as this - rite now right here. And simultaneously everywhere.
    Maggee and Dorham are among the unsung semi-geniuses of bop balladry, quite overtaken, needlessly so, among all dem hotrodders ...

      McGhee is a giant but Dorham has technique problems and poor ideas.
