Over the last year I've been shaping and influencing the musical palette of my 15 year old son. Today he tells me to do myself a favor and give Skinshape a listen. He's on the right path.
you should be amazingly proud. my dad did the same thing and ill be sending this to him without a doubt
maybe letting him find his own path and make his own mistakes would be better
@@sirVhailor lol he IS - his son suggested that his *DAD* listen to this album, which the kid found by himself. Parents are supposed to shape their kids - and if the kid now has a love of music, which is a blessing a parent can share with a child, then the kid will end up exploring different sounds in his own time. He's 15. Dad is bonding with kid over cool music, which is normal. Its not like we are talking about intense life choices like a career or personality development, or lifestyle options like marriage or societal contribution - its just musical taste... how does one "make mistakes" when exploring preferences, or really doing ANYTHING as they grow in life? That is so odd you would apply that criticism to this sweet father-son bonding moment, you weirdo.

I wonder what kind of sound we would have gotten if he had collaborated with the ones who did AFTERBURNER... can't think of the album but it's got a bunch of lemons on the front and it was : Slug & EL-P , Serum & Induce who put it together ... it's here on the TH-cam .
I love the mixing of old sounds with new. The mixing of surf guitar effects with dub bass lines. The low-fi feel and the production.
I don't surf and I don't get stoned - but god damn does this album make me want to get stoned and go surfing...

A lot of hmmm, not good music out there is the proof that people are crazy about their musical taste, but well, there are genres for each and every one of us.
It all has to do with marketing. When the majority of people have crap music shoved down their throats it's almost impossible to find and appreciate music like this. It's very unfortunate
