    Give your Tacoma a commanding, off-road presence with customized comfort and optimum handling by upgrading to the Rough Country 3-Inch Suspension Lift Kit. With this system, you can install larger tire-and-wheel combos that will enable you to tread through various obstacles with ease, confidence, and a bolder sense of adventure.
    The rear shocks offer reinforced damping capacity and controlled dynamics. Each shock features a large, robust build with a high-strength, 54-mm body, and a chrome-hardened piston rod. Additionally, 10-stage compression adjustability ensures customized ride comfort on various types of terrain.
    Rough Country manufactured the lift blocks, spacers, and U-bolts using premium-quality materials that exhibit high tensile strength and superior corrosion resistance. The rear lift blocks are designed for a level stance, while maintaining factory ride quality. The heavy-duty U-bolts ensure maximum support and eliminate any flexing of the leaf springs.
    This 3-Inch Suspension Lift Kit installs with mechanical expertise required. The components of this kit bolt to the factory mounting locations of your vehicle. This system also comes with all the hardware to complete the installation process.
    A limited lifetime warranty is provided by Rough Country for this lift kit against factory defects in workmanship and materials. The shock absorbers are backed by a 3-year limited warranty. Some exclusions apply; please check the terms and conditions for complete details.
    The Rough Country 3-Inch Suspension Lift Kit is intended for use on all 2005-2019 6-Lug Toyota Tacoma models. terrain.jp/2Gg...

    Just installed this. Took me 9 hours with carefully following the video, researching torque specs, food and water breaks and a trip to the parts store for a tie rod puller AND set up and clean up. I also installed the OME driveshaft bearing spacer. No vibration at any speed. Great budget or entry level lift. Cleared 33's no rubbing on flat ground.

    Hi I did the 3/2 spacer and 285/70/17 tires love the look. Had a shop do it. But it has a little shiming or wobble in staining wheel around 46 to 60. But if I apply little presser on steering wheel it’s ok. I told the shop he said he has no idea what could cause that other than big tires? The alignment is good I think it’s balance friend said he read something about the Uca in a 2020 Tacoma need replacing and needle bushing in drive shaft. Getting stressed out. I tried lowering tire pressure from 35 to 30 no difference any suggestions?

    • @chloesamclutch
      @chloesamclutch 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pop it in neutral at speed and make sure it's in the wheels vs something elsewhere. If it still shimmys it's definitely something rotating causing your problem. Could try a bubble balancer and weights on the rear of the rims to see if it helps and rotate hubs by hand to see if anything seems sketchy.

    • @chloesamclutch
      @chloesamclutch 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If neutral solves your problem it's in the driveline somewhere, u joints, rear axle going out, etc.

    Hello, so I had this lift kit installed on my 2016 Tacoma TRD about 7 months ago. Everything seemed to be fine until 3 weeks ago when I started to hear a humming sound from the front end. It was a faint sound almost like a revving sound every 2 seconds. I could even feel it through the gas pedal & steering wheel. Could this be the needle bearing in the CV axle causing this sound? I brought the truck to a local mechanic who could not determine the exact cause other than to tell me the front end is not in aligned properly due to the lift. Any thoughts on how to remedy this issue?

      @Cymett yep, east coast gear supply sells a clam shell bearing (needle bearing)that is installed on the driver side (drawing a blank on the proper name lol) cv arm. Toyota tolerance in .030 this is what causes the vibration and noise. East coasts is .015 and it totally takes it all away. East coast has a video on youtube explaining it all. 80 bucks for the part and tools to take the bearing out. And couple good videos on here showing how its all done. Took me about an hour and rides perfect now.

    • @ExtremeTerrainToyota

      The front is going to be slightly higher than the rear, but that will work out perfect if you ever plan to install an aftermarket bumper or bull bar. -Zach

    Did you have to change the upper control arms to clear the thirty threes.

    • @ExtremeTerrainToyota
      @ExtremeTerrainToyota  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you're going with a little more narrow of a 33 like a 255/85R16 or 265/75R16, you should be alright. But if you go with anything wider they may be needed. New upper control arms would be a nice addition to this kit anyway though, as it would help correct your trucks suspension geometry after lifting. -Zach

    Hey guys quick question I have a 2019 TRD sport, is the diff drop and skid plate bar cut still required? For non 4×4?

    • @JKCL20
      @JKCL20 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No because in a 4x4 there is not a front differential.

      I got a mechanic friend. I keep telling him rough lift are bad and soacer are bad but he said its fine. Its not made for hardcore off roading but for everything else is prefectly fine. I dont want to argue with a 20 year experince mechanic. If he said it was fine then ill go with that.
